When I woke up, my head didn't hurt as badly. A dull ache rather than a throbbing pain. River had already left, so I got up and took a quick shower before getting dressed. It felt weird. I wanted to distance myself from him a little after what happened, but it also hurt to think like that. Was I really in love with him now?
