“Selene!” A man with an imposing physique shouted, and he was followed by five other men. “Ha, these punks!” Selene, a captivating woman, approached with an air of intrigue. Her stunning appearance was impossible to ignore. With eyes the color of rich mahogany, she effortlessly conveyed a sense of innocence that belied her true nature as a vampire. Her hair, a mesmerizing blend of ebony and fiery red, cascaded down in luscious waves, framing her face with an alluring allure. Delicately arched eyebrows and long, fluttering eyelashes added a touch of mystery to her already enchanting gaze. The graceful curve of her nose, perfectly proportioned, only served to enhance her overall beauty. And her naturally thin, ruby-red lips, always adorned with a subtle hint of a smile, only heightened her irresistible charm. Selene was a vision of elegance, a captivating presence that left an indelible impression on all who were fortunate enough to encounter her. “We're not done with you yet!” As the man shouted, he suddenly rushed towards her. In response, the woman swiftly dodged and jumped, delivering a powerful kick to the back of his knee. This caused the man to fall and retreat. The other five individuals who were accompanying him also rushed forward simultaneously. The woman's eyes narrowed as she deftly maneuvered past the slender man who was poised to strike her with a punch. Placing her hand on her hip, her once gentle gaze transformed into a menacing glare. “If you are looking for physical pain, I will give you what you want.” She grinned as the men exchanged glances. In that fleeting moment, fear gripped both of them. However, the leader's emotions quickly shifted from terror to rage upon hearing the woman's words. He was not only disgusted by her past actions but also infuriated by what he perceived as an insult to their masculinity. Little did they know, they were confronting more than just an ordinary woman. She possessed the blood of a vampire, granting her extraordinary strength, even though she had not fully transitioned into a vampire yet. The tallest among them rushed forward to throw a punch. In response, the woman swiftly bent down and delivered two powerful punches to the man's stomach, causing him to vomit blood. Meanwhile, another assailant wasted no time and charged at Selene, prompting her to take a step back. She retaliated by kicking the oncoming man, causing him to spit and lose consciousness. However, Selene was unable to dodge another attacker, and his punch landed on her cheek. This was the first time a human had managed to land a punch on her, causing Selene's eyes to glaze over. A black vein of rage appeared on her neck, extending up to her cheek, catching the attention of the remaining four men. Fear filled their widened eyes as they attempted to flee, but Selene swiftly stopped them and proceeded to strangle the man who had struck her. “You scumbag!” She screamed, causing the man to gasp for air as she tossed his body around as if it were a mere piece of paper. She bowed, and as she looked up, she turned without showing any emotion towards the other three individuals who were now becoming frightened and moving away. “W-what are you?! What kind of creature are you?!” the leader of the five men stammered. “You're a monster!" he added, while the two men on either side of him were rendered speechless, particularly upon witnessing the woman's eyes change color, turning crimson like blood. A wicked smile flashed across the woman's beautiful lips, and in the blink of an eye, the two men were knocked out, leaving only the leader standing. Selena took a step towards him, but Arkko, the man, quickly stepped aside. “Don't come near me!” Despite the hint of dread in his eyes, he chose to look bravery in Selene's presence, fearing the possibility of appearing foolish in her eyes. This brought great satisfaction to the woman, who, upon recognizing his shared courage, grew even bolder. “What I absolutely dislike is when my capabilities are underestimated!” Selene shouted, causing the strong wind to strip the man of his courage and replace it with fear. Despite this, Arkko managed to retrieve a small dagger from his pants and swiftly hurled it in the direction of Selene. Unable to evade it, the dagger struck her cheek, leaving a deep wound from which blood flowed profusely. As Selene's head tilted, her anger surged, evident in her clenched fists and the dark veins that traced across her skin. Arkko gasped as Selene abruptly charged towards him, gripping his throat tightly. In that intense moment, their eyes locked, and Arkko witnessed the miraculous healing of the long gash on Selene's cheek, as if it had never been struck, her skin returning to its smooth state. After Selene's wound healed, she slowly lifted Arkko while choking him. Her razor-sharp fangs protruded, shocking the man and causing him to utter the words: “Y-you are a vampire...” To be continued…
