TAMING THE ALPHA

Chapter 4

Chapter 4:

Melissa's POV.

"It's time for the wedding." My maid informed me.

I stood up, my gown flowing around my legs in a graceful yet regal fashion.

The color of the gown was light, almost white, but still had hints of gold to compliment it perfectly.

It matched the golden jewelry adorning my body and the beautiful bouquet of white roses I was holding in one hand. The sun shined brightly on my pale complexion and the delicate flowers.

My hair was curled with waves that reached mid back, which made it look like a cloud of silken feathers around my shoulders.

I wore an earring on my right ear. A diamond necklace dangled from its center, connecting itself with one of my many rings.

I turned towards my maid who wore a white dress identical to mine and matching veil. She held her hand out towards me. "It is time, Your Highness."

"Shall we?" I nodded. "Then let us head out."

She took my arm and together we walked down the hall.

The smile on my face was a total farce, I wasn't that excited to get married to Alpha Rex, it was never part of my plans.

Yet here I was, walking down the stairs to the hall to get married, a fake smile plastered on my face.

We arrived at the door which led to the hall, where the guests would be waiting for the ceremony to begin.

We opened it and entered the hall as people looked our way. They stared at me, eyes wide with shock and awe. Many gasped at my beauty, some even cooed.

I ignored them all, focusing on the man standing in front of me.

Our eyes met and he smiled, a smile I didn't like. I wanted to glare at him, but my mother was here and I had to keep plastering the fake smile.

I approached him and took his hands into mine. "You look very handsome tonight, Alpha Rex. Thank you for agreeing to marry me." My lips were pressed tightly shut, trying to keep from pouting.

But I was pretty sure nobody saw through it because my father and mother's gaze was locked on me.

He smiled at me and said, "It is an honor, princess. You look quite ravishing yourself.''I gave him a slight nod in response.

He released my hand and I took my seat next to him.

As the officiant began talking about the vows I'd already taken, I noticed the glazed over look on his eyes.

I wanted to shoot him a glare, yet I kept my cool while I listened to the officiator recite each word of the marriage vows. It wasn't long until the officiant finally finished.

"Will you now join hands with Your Highness?", asked the officiating officiant, gesturing to my left.

I placed my hand over his and he placed his hand over mine, sealing our vows with a gentle kiss.

I tried not to grimace when I felt his tongue swipe against my lip, the act so revoltingly gross and yet strangely arousing.

I forced myself not to wince but instead tried to enjoy what little time this was gonna give me until he inevitably left me alone for a couple minutes.

"I now pronounce you, husband and wife." The officiant announced and it followed with a loud applause.

My hand felt sweaty and clammy as if there was oil covering it.

My parents rushed forward to us and hugged us in greeting.

As soon as they pulled away, I excused myself. My mom started lecturing me again, "You better behave and get ready, and do what you should do."

She told me, patting my back affectionately before heading off towards the reception area. Dad did the same.

I sighed deeply, rolling my eyes and I watched her talk to the guests, smiling at them.

I kept smiling till my cheeks began straining, this wedding wasn't the best idea, yet I had to do it anyways my mom was adamant and I had plans for Alpha Rex.

I joined in greeting the guests that came, I couldn't wait to leave, I was already tired.

My maid kept watching me, I sighed my whole feet aching from standing too much.

I excused myself as soon as I was done speaking to every guest and went into the garden.

I sat on the grass with my back facing the house, the flowers surrounding me.

I thought about how my life would be now after getting married to an Alpha I didn't like.

My mother told me about his house, I wasn't excited about anything related to him, but I was his wife anyways.

I would have to put up with him for some time, then once I get what I want, I'll leave him.

"Melissa." I stood up immediately and I heard my mother's voice, my eyes already rolling as a habit I formed whenever I heard her.

"Why are you sitting outside? Aren't you supposed to be getting ready to join your husband."

"Mother," I gritted my teeth together. "Just let me be please." I sighed standing up.

"No, you won't ruin this marriage immediately, it just happened with your attitude." She scolded.

"Now come back inside to finish getting ready, you're joining him any minute." She demanded.

She grabbed my hand and started pulling me in the direction of the empty room in the hall. I tried to resist but she managed to tug me towards it.

Soon enough I realized that no matter how hard I tried to fight back, she always won.

I followed her sluggishly, still feeling tired from earlier and the wedding.

Once we were inside, my mother closed the doors and locked them.

I looked at her blankly, confused why she'd lock the doors.

She sighed. "I'm not going to repeat myself, Melissa." She looked at me dead in the eye.

"Don't ruin this." She added and I nodded.

My maid walked in with my packed bag, it looked extremely different from the little bag I packed earlier.

"What happened to the bag I packed earlier?" I asked.

"I instructed her to pack more and add more outfits." My mother said with a shrug.

I collected the bag, opened the bag immediately, I could see skimpy outfits and lingerie everywhere, and a bunch of other things which were obviously not going to fit me.

And I was about to complain, when my mother suddenly spoke up. "I'm sure he's ready to leave, everyone left anyway."

I sighed,my head drooping low. My thoughts drifted towards the Alpha, I followed my mom and my maid out.

The Alpha smiled at me when I walked inside the hall, I took his hands as I followed him to his car.

He unlocked it.

I climbed in the passenger side of the car, closing the door behind me.

It didn't take long before we were driving towards a huge mansion situated within a forest.

The house was a beautiful two story mansion surrounded by a lot of acres of land.

There was a huge gate guarding the driveway leading to the house, which seemed impenetrable. It appeared to be a fortress.

Once we entered the house, I saw lots of servants running about, cleaning, sweeping the floors.

After parking the car the Alpha stepped down rushing inside ,I stepped down immediately, I followed the servants into the house to a lavish hallway, my maid tagged behind me.

"Your Highness!" A servant announced and a girl came running to us.

I nodded to her when she bowed, still looking at the house, amazed.

It was beautiful, with beautiful furnishings throughout the halls, paintings and sculptures everywhere. Everything was expensive and shiny.

The servant pointed at various parts of the house and my maid and I walked through the hallways.

After what seemed like hours and maybe days, we finally arrived at a big room.

"The Alpha will be here soon, that's the door to the bedroom."

The girl spoke pointing to the large double door, it had an intricate design carved along the handle.

As soon as I heard that,I opened the door, and entered the room. The first thing I noticed was the large bed which was made up perfectly.

There was a king sized bed covered in white silk blankets, a night stand beside it holding a lamp and a bookcase full of books and magazines.

I turned around when I heard someone entering the room, and I found myself staring into the Alpha's eyes.

I wasn't ready to meet him or see him yet, I was thinking of how to set things in motion.

He smiled as he walked in, "Sorry I rushed off, I had to deal with something."He said and I nodded.

He started taking off his clothes, my cheeks heated as I watched him undress, he really was very attractive. He had broad shoulders, strong arms and a toned body.

He was shirtless, revealing everything from his toned stomach and chest.He turned to me with a smile before opening the door to what I guessed was a bedroom.

"When I'm done with you, you won't smile so much." I said quietly as I stared at the door he went into.
