Decisions — Not knowing what to do with the issue at hand I dropped my head on a pile of manuscripts, a few came falling down. The offer was like a dream, double the salary and less work reading manuscripts, I could use that to an advantage but working with someone else. With my two index fingers I rubbed them against my temple today had given me too much stuff to thing over. “What do I do.” I spoke to myself. The squealing sound of my door closing echoed through the room, to frustrated to check it I kept my eyes closed. “I could help if you want my help.” a unfamiliar voice echoed in my office, immediately opening my eyes I came to face Josie, Mr. Peter’s granddaughter. Not realising I what I was doing my eyes trailed down from her perfectly featured brown face her curly hair hanging loosely, her soulful brown eyes piercing through me. She looked nothing like Mr. Peter on facial features but their skin complexion was a definite match. My eyes watched her with every step she took, her movement was even gracious just like her appearance. As she made herself comfortable in one of the seats, I lowered my hands resting peacefully on my desk. “Can I help you?” I spoke in my most friendly tone a light smile upon my face. Josie returned my smile hers a bit wider, she tilted her head to the side studying me. “You already know how.” It was now my moment to complain shrugging in my seat I began to speak. “I’ve never done that before and I already have a work load on me right now. As much as it is tempting I think I can not manage such pressure.” Josie shook her head understanding my situation, “I won’t be a hand full it’s just you helping me with writing and cross checking of course. Plus I heard your really good at it. Please.” that was very unexpected. Looking at her uncertain of the great comment from Mr. Peter, “He told you I was good? His only seen my work once.” I needed clarification, he had seen it by accident how could he praise me already. Josie nodded with a smile upon her face, “That means it’s good enough to get his attention once. Out of all the writers he chose you for a reason, you don’t want to let my grandfather down, do you?” a pout soon replaced her smile. Guilt filled me, looking at Josie with my lips pressed against eachother. “I’ll think about it. But it’s not like I have said yes.” Her pout was soon replaced with a wide smile, with the way she made herself comfortable in her seat she wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon. “So, why are you Grey if you’re father’s surname is Wesley.” I asked in an attempt to start a conversation. Josie giggled shaking her head to the sides, “You’re clearly not think, are you?” maybe I was maybe I wasn’t, raising both my eyebrows I gave her a clueless look. Josie huffed, “Well my mother is Mr. Wesley’s daughter and my dad is Mr Grey’s son, makes sense now?” I wasn’t at all thinking that’s for certain. Rubbing my ear nervously I spoke. “So where is your father.” Her face completely changed becoming hard to read on how she felt about it. Josie shrugged uncomfortably, “Your asking to many questions, you know.” I hadn’t even asked three questions, rolling my eyes at her I huffed. “Well I have to know you if I’m going to say yes.” “You roll your eyes beautifully, what if I make you roll your eyes in bed with me, will you give me less attitude.” I now see the resemblance between her and Andrew. Crossing my arms in front of my chest I gave her a stern look, my lips in a thin line. “Are you flirting with me Josie?” Running her fingers through my hair she smirked at me. “Is it working?” I bursted out in laughter shaking my head in disbelief, she even had his audacity. “No, it is not.” her smirk quickly wiped off her face, leaving her face blank. Josie seductively bit down on her she locked her eyes in mine, my eyes trailed off from her eyes to her lips, so kissable. She hummed, “I thought it did, I can just try kissing you now and see if that works.” I hadn’t realized she already began walking up. I felt her soft fingers cupping my chin raising my head a bit up facing her. Josie slowly began leaning in my eyes lost in hers, feeling her hot breathing against my lips I jumped out of my trans and her grip. “You’re not touching me!” I half shouted. Josie studied the entire room her eyes landing back on me, “Not in here, I’m not.” I slapped my hand over my mouth, that dirty horrible mouth and my horrible mind. Glaring at Josie I held up my index finger pointing at her, “You...” nothing, I had nothing. Violently gripping her shirt I dragged her over to the door. “Get out, I have work to do.” I commanded opening the door widely. “Then after work, I pick you up for a date.” I glared at the girl, “No I will not. I’m not going anywhere with you. Bye!” I shouted slamming the door in her face. Thinking all my troubles were actually over the door began opening again, josie’s head popped in. “At least tell me your age and number.” Pushing the door back I narrowed my eyes at her, she was pushing it open. Leaning one of my elbow I pinched my nose with my thumb and index finger. “I’m 26, now out.” I pushed the door once more. Her head and foot blocking full closer, Josie spoke once more. “How about your number?” a smiled pasted on her face. “Not giving you.” “Why?” she asked, her voice way over normal pitch. Smiling victorious I spoke, “For the same reason I will not go on a date with you.” Josie seemed taken back, “Wait, what reason is that cause I’m pretty sure I got it all right, I mean—” “Get the f**k out!” I cut her short shouting at her, she was taking up a lot of time I didn’t have time for this. Holding her arms up in defence she spoke, “Geez calm down, I’ll leave okay.” blowing a kiss my way she spoke again. “Bye girlfriend.” before I could protest she when out the door, slamming it on the way out, freedom.
