Working with her
—
I sat behind Abigail’s desk waiting on her, was I super early? I most certainly was but I was so hyper. Today was the first day I would be working with her, always by her side annoying her.
Leaning back on the chair I placed both my hand behind my back, when was that woman going to walk through the doors.
Like fate, the door to her office opened. Abigail walked through the door dressed in blue jeans with a light red coloured blouse, even if she wore rags she would look gorgeous.
It took her seconds to notice my presence when she did all the colour drained from her face, like she had seen a ghost. “What are you doing here?” she hissed closing the door behind her. Abigail walked up to me with serious face.
“I’m here to get started with our work. Remember the one you agreed on before we f****d?” I spoke with a slight smirk on my face, Abigail’s face grew in horror once I reminded her of her precious time together.
“Okay..” she whispered lowering her head. It seemed as though she was thinking through something in her head, it didn’t seem pleasant at all giving she had a deep frown on.
“You okay?” I asked concerned, I did have the right to even is she wanted nothing to do with me, I still cared.
Abigail looked up replacing her frown with a forced smile. “Yes, I’m prefect.” what a total lie, I gave her a nod letting the conversation fade away.
“Where shall we start with our writing?” Abigail asked getting up from her seat walking towards the door. What was up with her this early, not a morning person because me either.
“Where are you going?” I asked her, watching as she opened the door widely. Sighing she walked back to where she sat before, “Just letting in some fresh air!” she spoke with a light smile on.
I narrowed my eyes at her pointing towards the office window, which I must say where as open as anything open. “The windows where doing a good job at that, now why open the door no fresh air comes from the halls. Maybe only polluted air of papers and coffee.”
“Extra fresh air.” she shrugged in her seat clearly lying, like what she’s been doing since she saw me.
I shook my head, “Lying. Are you taking safety measures around me.” now that’s more interesting, I raised my eyebrows at her questioning her.
Abigail sighed looking out the window, “Yes I don’t trust you.” she admitted.
I got off my seat walking up to her, I stood in front of Abigail lowering my face only inches from hers. “You don’t trust yourself around me. You trust me just not to be left alone with me because you know we both want the same thing.” I cupped her chin between my thumb and index finger, bringing her face a bit closer. Feeling her hot breathe against my skin sent a different kind of feeling through my body.
“To have your bare skin on mine.” I whispered our eyes locking. It took all of me not to crush my lips on hers, she was being so kissable right now.
A moment of silence passed between us, Abigail did not even bother moving from me went kept looking at eachother, our breathe hitting eachother’s skin.
I decided to end eachother’s misery, I took a step away from Abigail letting go of her face I walked back to my chair. If I was ever going to win her over in more than lust I should not do such things. “I was thinking we discuss the concept like how it should go like, the point of view.” I spoke taking a seat.
Abigail still seemed a bit shocked, I snapped my fingers in front of her bringing her back to reality. “I beg your pardon?” she asked looking at me.
“I was saying, we could discuss on how I picture the story and what point of view would suit best.” I explained again, my eyes carefully watching her, her eyes kept landing on my lips.
“That sounds like a great idea.” Abigail spoke tearing her eyes away from my lips, only to have me look at hers, so very kissable. “So how do you picture the story you want to write?” she asked drawing out a pen and a note book.
Looking from her lips I locked eyes with her, she has on a slight smirk been caught red handed. I rubbed the back of my neck out of tendancy. “I was thinking we write something supernatural, with different supernatural beings but with a unique plot line not like anything else.” I suggested looking anywhere but at her directly.
Abigail thought over it a bit bitting down on her pen, she looked at me with interest in her eyes. “Like what exactly?”
I shrugged a bit, “First, We’ll have a black lesbian hybrid as our lead. She won’t be the typical werewolf/vampire or vampire/human, something like angel and vampire. With a diverse group and a stubborn love. Some challenges will be there of course but you know the main actor never dies.”
She seemed caught with the idea, Abigail leaned in resting her elbow on the hard wood. “I actually like that, and it should be in the third person point of view.” first person was always difficult for me to write, so I agreed with a nod.
After our little discuss we began working on the Idea, plotting the first bit of the story, where and how our characters show up or speak. That’s how our morning went, then we took little breaks trying to refresh and we had not even began writing.
I sat cross from Abigail in her office as we had our lunch, we were a bit late for it but we were still going to have lunch.
“Go on a date with me, tonight.” I asked Abigail, she looked up from her food still chewing down on burger. “As friends?” she asked once she swallowed.
I gave her firm nod even though I wanted it to be more than friends, a friendly date would be the only way to get her to go out with me.
“Sure...” she agreed continuing with her lunch. A wide smile grew on my face, Abigail Klein I would most certainly have you as mine, just wait.
