Together
—
It’s been a whole two full weeks working with Josie on her book, she is a great writer and a good friend. She has been taking me out on friendly dates everyday, either just lunch or dinner or skating or walks even movies and I’ve had the most fun in a while.
At first I actually hated the idea of these friendly dates but after the first one, I couldn’t wait for the next. She took me skating I absolutely love skating, I was so happy.
I walked through the office doors making my way to my office, another day of writing with Josie so excited.
As I walked through my office door Josie was right where I expected her to be, sitting behind my desk with her feet on the desk. “Good morning Josie.” I greeted her closing the door behind me.
Josie smirked at me, “Morning love, missed me?” everyday she asks me the same question and what’s my answer, a yes after a loop of no, what she shouldn’t have it easy.
“Hmm I saw you yesterday.” at our little friendly date, a walk in the park it was fun, very fun. I walked over to my desk and took a sit.
Josie bit her lower lip while rubbing her palm on her chin, “But not today morning.”
I rolled my eyes at her failed attempt to get me, yeah. “Sure I did. Legs off the desk.” I pushed her feet off the desk poor manners.
“You’re no fun.” Josie mumbled while pouting like a little child. I looked at her with an amused stare, how dare she say I’m no fun I was fun so fun. “Really?”
Josie seemed to rethink her false accusations, looking at me with wide eyes she composed herself in the seat. “Nop you’re tons of fun. You’re a fun freak.” she emphasized on the freak part, sneaky little thing.
“What changed your mind.” I asked narrowing my eyes at her, she always had tons of tricks in that head of hers. Josie smiled at me leaning closer to the desk, “You might not go out with me this saturday.”
“Is that your way of asking me out tomorrow?” I asked, Josie gave a nod yes with a big bright smile probably hoping I wouldn’t say no, I wasn’t going to. I shrugged drawing my computer from my bag, “Okay let’s start today’s work.”
“What about my answer on the date?” Josie asked looking at me with raised eyebrows, couldn’t she just figure out I said yes but no she wanted to hear it. “Yes..” I answered her while entering my password.
“You won’t ask if it’s a friendly date or not?” she asked in disbelief trying to look for a hint where I’m lying or not, not lying at all. I looked away from the screen of my computer, “Either way, still a yes Josie.”
She rested her elbows on the desk bringing her body a bit closer to mine. “Then you won’t mind wearing something a bit more fancy?” she gave a wide smile which was really cute.
I gasped dramatically bringing my hand over my chest, “Are you taking me out on a fancy date?” I leaned in closer to the desk as well giving Josie a playful smile.
“It’s a surprise baby.” she leaned back on her chair still smiling widely, I hummed in response drawing my attention back on my computer screen. “So now I was thinking about how about we hook up our main character with that witch.” she suggested.
“Then it causes a lot of messy between her and her boyfriend. You like destroying couples don’t you.” I narrowed my eyes at her, she had been trying to get it to happen between the two since we started writing it. It was always either they book up or just kiss, something like that.
“I mean, she is wasting her time with that jerk.” she hissed, well she did plan on him being well him.
“Agreed!” I squealed placing the laptop down on the desk. We began writing our new chapter for our two week old story, it was always fun writing with her and being around her.
Josie and I work on about one more chapter once we had finished the one we started, the arguments were non ending. I had my own pitch while she had hers but in the end we came up with one idea.
Josie sat with her legs on the desk again taking a bite of her lunch, a burger we’ve been having a lot of those lately, we never got tired of them even then. “We can just agree our favourite food is a burger.” she spoke with her mouth full.
I swallowed my burger first before answering her, well I had manners. “Well it is the most edible food around this place.” Josie gave me a nod taking another bit out of her burger.
“Who is your favourite character in the vampire diaries.” Josie asked out of the blue with a smile on her face.
“Who is yours.” no way I was making the mistake of listing her worse character as mine, did that before and I don’t want to go through the lecture again.
“Isn’t it obvious. Bonnie Bennett, BB.” she spoke with her head held high. Who was I to object, bonnie was the best character you know it not it wasn’t Elena never was. “She did carry the show.”
Josie gave me an approving nod, “I know right. She deserved so much more than a dead boyfriend.” she had a bitter face on, it the TVD was reality she would live for it.
“Let’s not forget better friends.” I added, Bonnie had a bad taste in friends, her so called friend killed the love of her life, toxic.
Josie hissed as she thought over something, “I hated and still hate Matt. How did that motherfucker survive while Enzo died, he was just a stubborn human.”
I giggled lightly looking at Josie with an amused smile, stubborn human. “He was just a survivor.” I wanted to annoy her and man did I do it right.
Josie looked at me with a deadly glare, “He was a leech.” she hissed.
I held up my hands surrendering, “Facts, honestly I got heart broken when he was alive in the last season.” and so did a lot more fans, he was never supposed to make it till season two.
We continued having our lunch talking about different TV shows, arguing about most characters. I laughed even more during lunch then actually ate my burger it was fun either way.
