Party time P.1
—
Tearing her attention from the screen, Riley looked up to me as I walked into the room. “Who where you talking to?” she asked.
Her question made Jess look away from the screen as well to me. Ignoring her question just for a while I walked up to the empty seat beside them then sat.
They were still looking at me with caution maybe because of the long face I had. Shrugged in my seat I took my attention somewhere else, like the screen.
I could still feel their stares piercing through me, looking back at them I caught Riley. She had her thumb over her lips think over something, I shrugged again looking away.
Being forced by a pair of hands I came face to face with Riley again, her hands pulled me closer to her only inches from her face the girl spoke. “Was is that devil of a witch—”
Freeing myself I hissed, “We don’t say that name in this house, nor speak of that thing.” Riley nodded her head understanding exactly what to do, nothing.
She didn’t stare my way again nor did anyone alter anything. The silence began eating me up with a slight clear of my throat I looked at the two girls. “I was talking to Mr. Wesley about the job—”
Riley squealed, “You said yes, I knew it but why the long face.”
Waving my hand in front of my face I looked at them with a deep frown. “Oh this, yeah it’s for the club you are forcing me to go to.”
The couple both rolled their eyes at me. “Don’t be like that, you’ll enjoy it plus you might get some.” Riley wiggled her eyebrows, no I did not want to get some.
Tilting my head to the side I pouted, going out was never my thing never would be. “I don’t want it.”
Jess made a disproving sound by clicking her tongue looking at me she smiled lightly. “You need it.” she commented, saying it in a way shouting they would be no further discussion on it.
Riley giggled throwing her heavy arm over my shoulder the girl pulled me closer, just right under her arm.
We watched the movie with my still under her arm because she would not let my head go. Jess pinched her a few times but nothing, so at the end we watched the movie like that till the clock struck noon.
Half of the day gone, the other half to be destroyed by the night I was forced to.
Attempting to get off the couch Riley gripped on my hand, forcing me to fall of the couch again. Shaking her arm off mine I spoke, “I’m going to make lunch.”
Riley looked at me shocked, shaking her head to the sides the girl spoke. “No you’re not.” she got off the couch instead, making her way the direction of the kitchen.
Sitting properly on the couch I watched her walk away into the kitchen. “Why not!” I shouted so she would hear.
Her head popped back into the room looking at us with a smile she spoke. “I don’t want you to poison my girlfriend while I could do something about it.”
Huffing I rolled my eyes, “Oh come on, you’re exaggerating this I am not that bad of a cook.”
Riley’s body was now exposed out of the kitchen, leaning against the wall she shook her head. “Well hate to break it to you, you are.” she spoke in a mocking tone.
“Then I’ve been practicing, I’m better.”
Her laughter filled the room adding more on my misery as though it wasn’t enough. “Nop you haven’t, you do remember I do all the cooking around here.”
I tried protesting, “Well it’s because—”
But the girl interrupted me pointing her ridiculous finger at me. “Save it, sit down and let me do What I’m best at.”
I snorted in annoyance, “Annoying others?” because I was sure that was her speciality, she always did it right.
A frown replaced the girls cocky smile. The sight of it made me smile to myself, oh how the tables had turned.
Riley with the frown still on her face shrugged putting her arms in her pant pockets. “Haha you’re such a comedian.” she hissed, turning herself around she disappeared herself into the kitchen.
Looking over at Jess, I had noticed she had been watching the entire scene unfold. There was a smile on her face she must have been amused.
Pointing towards the kitchen I looked at Jess, “I think I now feel your pain being with that.” I commented referring to my best friend who could clearly hear us.
Jess broke out in laughter, her laugh echoing through the room even Riley could hear it from all the way to the kitchen. Jess held her side as she laughed, “It’s lovable sometimes.”
Agreeing with a nod I looked at the direction of the kitchen. Even though Riley was almost always annoying she was a lot of things too, and those things actually made us love her, she was ours.
Jess eventually stopped laughing, both of us seating comfortably on the couch went on with the movie, as Riley prepared lunch for the both of us.
The genius chief Riley soon finished up making the dishes, though I hate to admit it she was an excellent cook.
Having our lunch we sat in front of the screen, as another movie played. We talked over lunch made jokes and just enjoyed the food.
Lunch passed and we were still bing watching movies on the couch, cuddling among eachother, well they did. I cuddled with my two bedroom pillows.
Jess sat up looking at us with a smile, “Speaking of clubbing, we should get started.” she brought up the topic at random.
Pulling my pillow closer to myself I looked at her with a frown, I did not want to be reminded. Looking at the time on my phone I looked back at Jess with confusion, “It’s 4pm guys, why the rush.” I asked.
The couple stood from the couch walking up to me. “Exactly.” Riley spoke as they both grabbed my arms, getting me off the couch the dragged me to my room. I groaned through out the whole way, we barely began and I was already regretting it.
