Chapter10

***Piper*** When I was done with the X-ray, Molly took me back to my room. Once again, Bear helped me. He lifted me so quickly. His touch was soft and gentle, something I'm not used to. He managed not to touch any of my injuries. For his size, he moved effortlessly. "We want to talk to you girls about something," Molly's husband said as he pulled her to his lap. I noticed Bear sitting next to my bed. He grabbed the cup, helping me drink from it again. "I'm sure you are extra sore from moving," he said so softly. His deep voice kinda soothed me a bit. I mumbled a "thank you" to him. "I think we need to sign Piper out and have Doc come to treat her; Bear and I agree this place is being shady with things, and this letting the cops in just isn't sitting right with us. That, and that Dr. Dimwit is pushing my patience. There is something wrong with how he is handling this." "I don't know. It would have to be up to Piper. I know Doc is more than capable. I have already talked with him." She looked over at me, "What do you think, Pip? Our Doc is wonderful, and you will be more comfortable at our place than here." I looked between the three of them. Why did they think the doctor wasn't doing his job? And how is it they had their own doctor? Molly seems to know this person, and just by how she has been acting here, I don't think she would steer me wrong. I mean, after all, she did warn me about Peter being a shithead. I nodded, agreeing I would rather be somewhere else than in this hospital room. I know she said Peter hadn't shown up, but that doesn't mean he won't later on when he thinks I'm all patched up. "Good, I will handle the paperwork." Molly jumped up off his lap. He protested, of course, but she blew him a kiss and then rushed out of the room. He chuckled as he watched her leave. A couple of hours later, after a lot of arguing, we finally left the hospital. To say my doctor was not happy about me being signed out. He tried everything to make me stay. He stepped back when Bear lost his s**t at him. I swear that man ran from the room, crying. I was in Molly's SUV, lying across the back seat. As she drove, Bear and Bash said they would follow. I could hear a rumble as she made our way down the road. "Here we are," she said as the car slowed down and then turned. Once it stopped, she was out of the driver's seat. Slowly, I pushed myself to sit up. Just then, the door opened, and Bear stood there. "Let me help you," he said as he reached in, scooping me up like he did in the hospital. With my arm in a cast and my whole body feeling like I had been run over, I couldn't hold on, but he held me, so I was able to curl into his chest. I felt safe there, which was odd for me, seeing as the only one who had ever touched me was Peter, and even he had never held me like this. It had gotten to the point where I would cringe when he touched me, especially after he would force me to have s*x with him. I would feel so disgusting afterward that I would scrub myself so hard in the shower, my skin would turn red. His scent filled my nose. He smelled of musk and sandalwood. I felt so small in his arms. As he walked with me, I probably looked like a child in his arms. Bash opened the door as we stepped onto the small porch. "Follow me," Molly said as we stepped in. I looked around. It was a simple home, decorated in different light-colored shades. It was an open-floor house, more significant than it looked outside, with lots of space. I could see pictures of her and Bash on the wall. It was one level. Molly walked down the hall, and Bear followed. She opened the one door. "Here we are," she moved to the side as Bear wiggled us through the doorway. I held my giggle back as this mountain of a man had to maneuver us in. He placed me on the bed. I sank into it. I felt like I was on a cloud. His phone chimed as he stood up. He pulled it out and frowned as he looked down. "Okay, Pip, the bathroom is right through that door there. It has a standing shower, so if you can't stand to wash, we can use my bathroom in my room. It has a tub. I will get you some more clothes; I'm not sure mine will fit you, as you are a lot smaller than me." I wanted to tell her not to worry about it, but the soreness in my throat kept me from talking. Just then, Bash walked in with a cup in his hand. He set it on the stand next to me. "Figured you could use a cold drink to help your throat." He patted my good arm. I smiled at him, hoping he got the "thank you" I was trying to say. "Doc called. He said he would be here in an hour. He needed to finish up what he was doing." "I have to go back to the clubhouse. One of the prospects messaged that there was an issue I needed to handle." Bash nodded, "You need me to come with you?" Bear shook his head, "No, I want you here. I will check in as soon as I'm done." "Alright, man, call if you need me." Bear nodded, then walked over to me. Leaning down, he placed a kiss on my forehead, then walked out. I sat there, frozen at what had just happened. I blinked a few times as I looked up at Molly to see that she was smiling like a madwoman. What was that? It seemed as if he hadn't realized what he was doing. He actually kissed my forehead. I had just met him today, and yet he had been nicer to me than the man I had been with for so many years. I felt my cheeks burning. "Oh, someone is blushing," Molly cooed at me, which only made me blush more. ***Bear*** I was pissed when I finished reading that message from the prospect. I mounted my bike and tore out of Bash's driveway. Racing through the streets, I felt my blood boil more as I pulled into my spot at the clubhouse. The guys at the door saw me storming towards it; they pulled it open for me. When I stepped in, I saw the chaos in front of me. "What in the actual f**k is going on!" I bellowed out. Everyone froze as they looked over. My rage boiled over when I saw the one person who was not supposed to be here, standing in the middle as two of my men were trying to get her off the other woman lying on the floor. Her eyes widened a bit, but she recovered quickly. She made her way to me. "Babe, where have you been? I was waiting for you." She went to put her hand on my chest, but I grabbed it, shoving it away from me. "What the f**k are you doing here? Didn't I say you were never to come back here?" "Oh, babe, I didn't think you meant that. You were just angry, but we've had time to cool off, so I came back." She stepped forward, wrapping her arm around my waist. Pushing her off me, I stepped past her, walking in. One of the prospects helped the woman up. I noticed it was one of the club girls. She was beaten up pretty badly. "Prez, I will take her and get her cleaned up." I spun around, looking at the devil itself. Looking at her now, I wonder what the hell I was thinking, getting tangled up with her. She smiled at me while batting her eyelashes. "She started it. She knows who I am, and she was being disrespectful to me, so I had to show her who is the Queen here."
