Let's hang out tomorrow

Chapter 10 Alpha Erubas I drive to the company as usual and head to my office. Since Sophie always came before me, I am not so surprised to see her already at her post and doing her job. "Good morning, Sir," She stands up and smiles at me shyly as soon as I walk inside the office, and I nod my head at her. "Morning. Get my schedule for next week and submit it on my desk immediately," I say to her before I proceed to my office. Sitting behind my desktop a few minutes later and working, I keep getting distracted as the thought of Sophie filled my heart. 'Impotent' as the word ring in my head for the nth time, I scoff angrily and recline on my chair. Maybe I should just give this a try and prove them wrong that I'm not impotent, I need to prove to them that I can be with a woman, but then I'm scared of being the cause of the death of another innocent lady again. "Sir, can I come in?" Still lost in thoughts, her voice sounds from outside, bringing me back to reality. "Come in," Following my last word, the door opens and she walks in with a file in her hand. "Here's your schedule, Sir," She utters as she drops the file gently on the desk before she turns to leave, but I call her back. "Sophie..." I call her and pause to think of what to say to her. Having her stare at me like that is getting me really confused and out of words, but I am the man here, so I need to act like one and stop shying away from her. "Sir?" She replies to me as she raises one of her eyebrows, and I sigh briefly. "Are you free tomorrow?" I ask her, and she stares at me confusingly for some seconds before she slowly nods her head. "I'll be free, but it depends on why you're asking," She replies to me. I like the way she always gives straightforward answers to questions and never beats around the bush. "I feel bored at home since I live alone, and I don't want to go home immediately after work, so I was thinking if we can hang out after work," I know this doesn't make any sense, considering our tradition, but she's a mere human that may not even know about the existence of werewolves, so if I should get her, then I need to approach her like every other human does. You may be wondering, but I have lived with humans for years now, and I know how they do things here. Unlike werewolves that get married immediately after they find their mates, humans go through processes, and one of them is getting to know each other through courtship before marriage. It's really stressful, but do I have a choice at this point? "Alright, Sir. I'll be free," She replies to me, and I feel Raul wavers excitedly inside me. "Alright. You may leave now," I say to her before she turns and strides out of my office, closing the door gently behind her. Taking a deep breath, I recline on the chair and stare up at the ceiling, asking myself if what I just did was right. I don't want to make a decision I might end up regretting later, I don't want to make a decision that'll harm an innocent person later. "Don't think about it, Erubas. Just pretend everything is fine, and you will be fine," I mutter to myself before I continue my work. After spending the whole day in the office, it's finally closing time. My day was well spent today, and guess what? I had lunch with Sophie in my office since she insisted. She went to the canteen to get lunch and insisted that I joined her since she has never seen me eating in the office. 'Don't you eat, Sir?' I scoff as I recall her question once I grab my car key from the desk. The question was kind of ridiculous, but I understood her. For someone who had never tasted anything in the office before, there was a need for her to ask me. As I stride into her office, I stop when I spot her rounding things up and maybe getting ready to go home afterward. "Do you mind if I drop you off at home?" I didn't want to make such an offer, but the mate bond keeps drawing me to her and making me want to spend so much time with her. "Really? It seems like my introverted boss is in a good mood today," She mutters, but I still heard her anyway. "Excuse me?" I raise my eyebrows for her to repeat what she said, but she only giggles as she tucks her hair behind her ear. "Nothing. I mean, thank you. I will pack this up and join you in the garage," She replies to me, and I nod my head before I stride out of the office. It has been five minutes since I was waiting for her at the parking lot, yet she still hasn't shown up. Even though I hate being kept waiting, I just can't bring myself to stand her up here and leave. I can't do that. Another five minutes passed before I spot her walking out of the entrance door, looking as hot as always in her pair of black long trousers, and button-down shirt that reveals her curvy shape since it's tightly hugging her body. Her thick black hair is falling freely down her shoulders, and as she walks toward me, the breeze sways her hair gently behind her. Her thick eyebrows, pointed nose, and her smiles are the definition of perfection. How am I supposed to not get attracted to her when she's this pretty? "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, Sir. I had to use the restroom before I came," She apologizes to me once she gets to where I'm leaning against the car. "Let's go," I say to her as I hop inside the car, and she hops in too. I drive out of the company afterward...
