CHAPTER 6
Silas drove to the lumber yard and stopped in front of the office.
“Why are we stopping at the lumber yard?” asked May.
“Jamie is here. He is waiting to take a load to deliver it. My dad is also here. He is one of the owners,” said Silas.
“Oh,” said May, getting out as Silas opened her door. Silas put an arm around her and guided toward the door of the office.
Jamie and Tim Little Eagle rose from their seats when Silas and May entered. Jamie had a big smile on his face as he came forward to give May a hug. May hugged him back with a smile.
“Welcome, I am glad Silas has found his love.” Jamie leaned back and looked at her and then turned to Silas. “You are very lucky, my brother. I am very happy for you both. You have brought me a sister.”
Silas smiled and pulled May close
