They were up and had the remainder of things packed in the car and were ready to leave when Gunner pulled into the parking lot. He got out, and May handed him her apartment keys and the signed title to the car. He gave May a hug and shook Silas’ hand.
“You take care of my little sister,” he said to Silas.
“I promise to take very good care of her. She is my life,” assured Silas.
“Give me a call when you arrive,” said Gunner.
“We will,” promised May.
“Be careful. I will see you at the wedding. Let me know your plans as soon as possible so I can make arrangements here,” said Gunner.
