Julia  Come home early and set up, they said. It won’t take long, they promised. 3 hours later…. I’m still putting name cards on tables. They lied. I walk out of the office with the last set of table cards and avoided mom’s eyes. I know she’s waiting for me to make myself available for her to command me with her next task, but I just wanted to go on a run and prepare myself mentally for this “social function”. “Jules, can you go put Tobias' tux in his new room.” Mom said, handing me my brother’s tux for his inauguration as Beta tonight. Now this I can’t be annoyed about. I did want to see what his new room would look like, not because I was curious, but to get him back for the prank he pulled on me 2 years ago at grandma’s house. “I would love to mother.” I said with a huge smile planted on my face, probably showing my scheming. “It’s on the second floor two doors on the right.” She said, as Luna Amelia’s presence alone pulled her away to verify that the final preparations were made. I rushed over to the pack house, and I still couldn’t get over how beautiful it was. Nestled deep within the woods stood a grand mansion. Its towering structure defied all expectations. It was not adorned with opulent gold, but rather, it exuded a minimalist elegance that captivated all who laid eyes on it. In other words, it looked like a celebrity owned the place. What I would give just to live there, but I wasn’t that lucky. One of the guards stood at the door, and he smiled at me, recognizing me instantly as the Gamma’s daughter and soon to be sister of the new Beta. I walked in and ran straight to his new room, skipping two stairs at a time. I was seriously itching to get him back. I finally stopped at his door and busted right in. I took in how massive and amazingly sleek it was, with a monochromatic color palette of black, white, and shades of gray. This space screamed money and I wanted every part of it. I walked in and threw myself on his bed, staring at his floor-to-ceiling windows that offered a stunning view of the outdoors. I inhaled the scent of his room, and it smelled so freaking good, like rainforest green, amber, and mint. Ugh, he is so lucky. Oh well, he did spoil me, so what are the odds of me convincing him to give me his room? Probably 1 to none, considering my parents would not allow it. I stood up and ran to his closet. The thing was huge, practically another bedroom. I could hear myself whimper and at that moment, I was going to do everything in my power to convince my parents to allow him to give me his room. ‘Jules, honey, we are all done. Hurry home to get ready!’ Mom mind linked me pulling me out of my trance. I took one more look around, and I honestly couldn’t do anything to ruin his room, except maybe that chair. In the corner of his room he had a black leather chair that looked custom-designed. I turned the knob so if he sat on it, he’d fall straight down. He’s lucky I love his room, because I could have done a lot worse. As I was about to step out the door, I could hear voices and I did not want anyone catching me in here and of course I suddenly had an urge to pee. Curse that bottle of water and Powerade I drank earlier. I leaned against the door, and I could still hear their voices. It was two she-wolfs probably in charge of making sure the pack house was prepared for their arrival, talking about our soon-to-be Alpha, Lincoln Carson. Of course, it was about one of them reminiscing about being f****d by him behind the bleachers in high school. Gross. Tobias made it clear that his best friend was off limits. As much as a part of me wanted him not to be, because he was sculpted by the gods themselves. I accepted it, but hell, he was hot, like really hot. However, his cockiness and Mr. Playboy ego really ruined it for me. So, I stayed out of sight, for the most part. I counted to five in my head and that was enough for me to run into Tobias' bathroom and release a stream that was plugged longer than it should have. I turned to flush, and the stupid toilet wasn’t flushing. Of course, this type of stuff only happens to me. I looked out his window and I saw the limo from Ironcest Kingdom driving down to the mansion. I had no time, they were minutes away from arriving to the pack house. I rushed to wash my hands and bolted out of his room. I guess this was prank #2.
