Book I - Chapter 13

The following day has come. The light of the sun came up into the sky. It appear like the sun has turn red. Red like the color of the human blood. Others watches from afar. The two humans were sleeping. While, the little boy was awake. He walked to the living room. He wants to make sure that his little sister didn’t leave.

He wasn’t surprised. He check up on her. He found her laying in the floor. He could tell she was heavily bleeding. But he won’t help her. He hover her. He wonders if she could tell he was here. He stretch his hand to put it between her nose and mouth. He felt that his sister was still alive. ‘ Tsk ‘. The boy made that sound. He wasn’t happy not one bit. He has to act like a sweet boy in front of his parents. And even in front of people whenever he goes out.

It’s to help him and his parents build a great reputation. A reputation as a happy family. When in reality; they aren’t a happy family. They would be one once the little girl was gone. He sigh. He was happy that his parents never took his sister out anymore. They made sure that everyone believe that they only have a son. Not knowing the fate of the little girl herself.

They never taught the little girl how to talk. They never taught her how to read and write. Her father wants them to be Americanized. Fully American. And he does not want his children to speak their home language. The women believes that if her daughter is at home. Then, her husband won’t become abusive towards her. Since, she didn’t give birth to a boy a second time. She thought she would. Because; she had the pregnancy craving of a boy. Just like when she once had her first child.

It’s been another five days that has passed. They go out like nothing happened. They did this. They never celebrate the little girl’s birthday. They didn’t want to. They wish that she dies. Even her mother keep telling the little girl about how she regret giving birth to her. Since; she very different than them. They had the same physical appearance of that from her mother and father. But the hair color and eye colors were different.

Everything was a blur in a moment. A flash like lightening. Many months, and days have passed. And then two years have passed. The little girl has become five-years-old. And she has become more beautiful over the years. The attitude of her parents change. She still gets beating every now and then. Or when they feel like they have a crappy time.

Today’s date was now January 6, 1995. It wasn’t any different. This was the first time ever. Especially since her brother was now eight-years-old. He can finally go out and have fun. He was old enough to ride the rides that adults ride in. They didn’t want the little girl to escape. Or do anything rash. So they decide to bring her along for a ride. It was easier for them to keep an eye on them.

The women bought a decent outfit for the little girl. It was long sleeve sweater. And she wore it with a pair of jeans. She has to make sure her daughter doesn’t look like a slut. Since, she never bought a bra for her. And she doesn’t need to. She look over her up and down. And she could tell her daughter was too beautiful.

In front of the women’s eyes; she has her daughter with passionate hair color with half of her hair was colored in purple. Mostly the light color of purple. Her eyes wasn’t brown. Her eyes was either blue or green depending on the little girl’s mood. It was better than nothing the women thought.

Her shoes were decent for her to walk in. It was the color of black. Since, she didn’t want the shoes to be dirty. Even though the clothes the little girl wore bought i from a thrift store. She doesn’t need to put make up on her daughter. She roughly grab her daughter’s face. She has to make sure no bruises or old ones be seen. She nodded her head to herself. She sigh in relief there was no bruises. It has been healed over time.

They went to the car. They drove to pier 39 for the first time. There they walk to many places. They bought lots of stuff. They weren’t paying attention. This gave the little girl chance to explore. Since, she knows what happens if she escape. There they saw one cafe. It look nice. She look around. Because; her stomach was growling. But she didn’t have any money. She starts to frown.

As she was about to leave; she bump into another married couple. She could sense positive energy coming from. She dares not to speak. She bow her head in submission. It was to inform whoever it was that she was sorry. The man turn around. She thought the man was going to slap her. So her body react. She close her eyes automatically. But there was no pain.

In front of her was an old married couple. These people are at an age of a grandma or grandpa. By their side was two little boys. She thought it was the same one as before. But; they were different. Due to the little boys skin colors. It was too dark. Like the color of caramel and dark chocolate. She look up slowly to face them. She notice the old married couple skin to be white. Like the color of snow.

If the eyes were blue or green, it may be due to her emotions. But there is another reason. No one knows though. The growls of the stomachs become louder. It wasn’t the married couple. They gave her food. She thank them. And she left in a hurry. Because; she doesn’t want her parents to find her.

As she walk further more; she decide to hide in the dark alley. In doing so; she collapses from everything. There in the dark alley as the little girl stop to take a rest. The mysterious person show up. He did what a normal person did. Since, he has already made that decision. He felt sorry for the way her parents treat her.

“ I am sorry little one. But; for you to live a normal life as a human. You have to become a human “. The unknown person spoke as he apologize. He uses his powers to separate her among her supernatural self. He wants her to live an ordinary life. Like he promised himself and the moon goddess. She was the one who ask him to do it. And he will fulfill it.

He decide to seal any memories that the little girl has. Memories she made to her other half. It will be sealed in a tight in closure deep within the mind of the little girl. It was the only way. So no evil humans will find out the location of the supernatural world. If the supernatural world ever existed that is. It is the modern world after all.

When he did; her other half emerges from her human body. This make the humans not able to see her. The little girl became super weak when this happened. The girl was now able to be comfortable in her own body. Two separate being but one mind.

“ Can I watch over my human counterpart? I don’t want her to die on my watch “. The girl spoke to the man. The man took a deep breathe. He looked at her one more time. “ Very well. Do not interfere with her life as a human. Since she is you. And you are her. She need to learn to adapt. Now that she’s fully human “. The man says.

The girl had no choice. She has to watch her other half live a normal life as an actual human. Which gives her human counterpart the same hair and eye color as her human parents. Black hair and brown eyes. Since, the moon goddess made a mistake. A mistake in granting them a child. They haven’t learn their lessons. So now she will watch everything unfolded.
