[Quest Unlocked: Protecting Magenta Town]

The sound of the bells rang all over Magenta Town. The townsfolk began gathering in a certain spot, which I believe is the safe spot. I heard Cosco calling for my name. 

“Sir Kon, you need to evacuate. The Marigoso, the one that I told you that was docile, began attacking the soldiers. Now, an army of them is heading here.” Cosco said and looked around for other people inside his place. 

I was surprised to hear what he said. Maybe, those docile creatures had enough of what’s happening to them that’s why they want to take revenge. I also need to be careful now since I don’t know how to use my abilities yet. All my status is locked and what’s only visible are question marks. 

The sound of the bells continued to resonate all over the town. Well, I already expected that something crazy like this would happen. If this is in the game ,this will be an event. Well, I am actually inside the game, but things are different here unlike on those videos I watched for the beta testing. I never heard of this quest as well. 

I heard Cosco calling for my name again. I followed the maids and we headed to the safe spot that Cosco told us about. Outside his residence was a mess. The soldiers and the other so-called adventurers were heading now outside of the town. As for the residents, they are still hurrying towards the safe spot. 

Ding!

What? I was surprised by another notification that appeared in front of me. I was confused because there are a lot of things going on around me. I saw an old woman who was having a hard time going to the safe spot. For God’s sake, she was carrying ten cats with her. I hurried to the old woman, and spoke to her. 

“I can help you.” I said and offered a hand to the old woman. The old woman was surprised with what I said. 

Ding!

[Help the old woman and her ten cats to the safe spot. Conditions : Make sure that you bring all the cats to the safe zone.]

What now? A side quest this time? I hurriedly picked up the other cats and helped the old woman towards the safe zone. As soon as we reached the Safe Zone, I counted the cats. 

Seven, eight, nine….

I tried to count it again hoping I just skipped a cat. 

Seven, eight, nine! 

Where did the other one go? Damn, I was trying hard carrying the cats since they kept o n struggling and wanted to get away from me. Now, there is a missing cat! What should I do?

“I’ll look for your other cat.” I said to the old woman. The woman just nodded her head and said her thanks to me. I hurried to get out of the safe zone but the soldiers were not allowing me to go. 

Then I heard a woman crying and went towards me. 

Ding!

[Side Quest Alert : Save the kid of the woman.] 

[Look for the missing kid of the woman. Conditions: Must find the kid within thirty minutes]

[Reward: Golden Needle]

I almost fell down on my knees after reading the notification. The quest is just popping up one after another. Then, a red light flashed above my head. It’s the timer. It’s starting to countdown. I am really inside the game. I need to figure out how I can sneak out from the soldiers. I went to the woman and told her that I will look for his kid. Five minutes had passed but it was still the same. I needed to think of a way to get out of here. Then, an idea suddenly flashed in my mind. 

“Ma’am, I need your cooperation with this.” I said to the woman that was looking for his kid. After that, I explained everything to her. She agreed with my conditions. As soon as I told her that, she picked up a stick and headed to the soldiers. 

The woman shouted all of a sudden. “If you don’t let me out here, I will hit all of you.” 

As soon as she said that, she began swinging the stick alarming the soldiers around us. The woman closed her eyes and aimed blindlessly. While the soldiers were occupied because of the woman, I ran as fast as I could from the safe zone. 

Twenty two minutes left. Now, where should I start? I can hear the scream of the soldiers as they drive away all the Marigoso that tried to enter the town. I continued running around the village, but there was no sign of the kid. I hurried towards the market area of Magenta Town. There were no signs of residents and other people here. Then I heard something bump into the box beside me. 

A cat! This must be the last cat owned by that old woman. I tried to call it’s attention but it began to run away again. I followed the cat, and I stopped every time it stopped. I kept on calling the cat’s attention, but it was no use. I tried to lure it using meat and fish, but it did not bother to look at me. This is getting annoying already. The cat escaped again from my side. 

“Come out kitty, wherever you are.” I said, but there was no sign. There were only ten minutes left before the countdown stopped. I still have no progress with the quests.

I heard another rustling sound on the bush in front of me. I slowly approached the bush so that I wouldn't startle the cat. 

“Found you!” I said and jumped at the bush.  

Ding!

[Congratulations. Save the kid of the woman completed!]

I was surprised by the notification. I was expecting that it was the cat, but it turned out to be the kid of the woman. The timer above my head stopped.
