[Quest completed : Save the child of the woman]
The timer stopped as soon as I held the hand of the kid. Now, there are two more quests left.
“Are you okay?” I asked the kid. The child just nodded his head in response. I picked up the kid and began to run back to the safe zone.
I can hear the battle outside of the town intensifying. It feels like the soldiers and the adventurers are having a hard time dealing with the Marigoso. Not that they are powerful enough, but fighting at once a docile creature is a different thing. They used to protect them, but now they are fighting them. They really need to deal with those abusive poachers.
After a few minutes of running back to where the safe zone was, I told the kid to walk straight to where the soldiers were. I cannot afford to go back there because they might not allow me to go again. I gave the kid a candy from my pocket, so that he will stop crying. In return, the kid gave me a black ring.
[Item Received: Unknown Ring]
[Description: ????]
What is this?
The child waved his hand and hurriedly left towards the safe zone. I began to run back to the entrance of the town. On my way there, I saw the weapon shop and there were items laid outside. I was about to ignore it, but I remembered that they were fighting the Marigoso. I need something to protect myself. So I hurriedly picked up a small item that looked like a dagger.
“Whoever the owner of this shop was, I promise, I will pay you once everything is over.” I mumbled.
I held the item tightly and ran again towards the entrance. On my way, I tried to check the surroundings, but there were no signs of the cat. Maybe it is also hiding somewhere, and I need to focus on the main quest.
As soon as I got outside, one soldier noticed me. It was one of the soldiers that captured me outside of the cave.
“What are you doing here? You are supposed to be in the safe zone.” The soldier said and pushed the Marigoso forward.
“I am here to help.” I said,
The situation was chaotic. All of them are trying their best not to hurt the Marigoso. They know that these creatures were just mad at what happened to their family. I began to help the soldiers in pushing the creatures away from the town. That was their goal, to avoid damage, they needed to push the creatures back to Magmanda's cave.
I was surprised by the appearance of the Marigoso. They look like fluffy balls the size of a grown up cat. They were fluffy and bouncy, and their coat looked like the colors of spring. On top of their heads were obsidian horns. Some of the Marigoso don't have horns. Maybe those were the victims of poaching.
The soldier beside me was busy pushing the creatures back and did not see one Marigoso pounce at him, with its horns pointing at the soldier.
“Look out!” I said and with my reflex, I pulled out the item from the weapon shop. I closed my eyes, and didn’t want to see what happened to the creature. I just felt the Marigoso bounce off the weapon I am holding. I slowly opened my eyes and was surprised by what I saw.
“A fan?”
