Building Owner

The next day, she woke up really early in the morning. She needs to leave this city before 9 am because by that time, her escapade will be discovered, and the chairman will surely deploy his people to find me.

At 5 am, with her white dress, black shiny coat, and jewelry around her neck, ears, wrist, and fingers, Ran was dressed like a true young miss of a wealthy family. Aside from her slightly tan skin due to her work in the orphanage, no one will think that she is not actually a young miss.

When she went to the clerk to pay for her stay, the clerk was stunned and even offered her help.

“Thank you.” Ran showed her a dazzling smile after he was done putting the two luggage in the trunk of the taxi.

The clerk blushed so hard as he bowed. “You’re welcome, young miss.”

Ran looked at the time on her phone, 5:30 am. She still has time to eat breakfast. So when she arrived at the airport, she immediately looked for a food stall to eat before getting a one-way ticket to Huanxi. She was glad that the security was not as secure in the future. She was able to carry the money with no problem at all.

She decided to stay in Huanxi for a specific purpose. While Huanxi might be considered a rural city in the south right now, it's on track to transform into one of the most affluent and rapidly growing cities within the next two years. The driving force behind this change is the completion of Project Huanxi-Longxiang in just one year. This project will position Huanxi as the key trading hub in the southern region, propelling its economic growth and development.

Since Ran plans to have a peaceful life, she needs to be in a prosperous city that will not remind her of her painful past life, while increasing her wealth.

It took 2 hours for her to arrive in Huanxi. No wonder, her stomach felt too empty.

She first took a cab to the nearest hotpot restaurant and indulged herself with food. She will need a lot of energy. She then took out her phone to look for a condominium. Although her phone right now is the latest released, it could not par with the phone in the future that has lots of features. Thus, she cannot really rely on her phone with these condos. So she decided to stay at a hotel first before buying a suitable condo unit for herself.

Out of 5 condo buildings she visited, nothing caught her attention. With a dejected face, she bought herself a shake and sat on a bench. It is already 3 pm and she is getting tired.

“Kind ma’am, sir, please check out my building.”

“If you are interested in buying a condo building, please check this out.”

“Please, take a look at my building.”

Suddenly, Ran heard the voice of a middle-aged man. She saw a man handing out flyers.

“Building? Is he selling a building?”

Ran went to the middle-aged man and got a flyer.

It was seaside building where the project Huanxi-Longxiang Bridge could be viewed. Suddenly, Ran twinkled like a star.

“Sir, are you selling your building?” Ran cautiously asked the man.

The man dejectedly sighed. “Unfortunately, yes. But young lady, if you are looking for a condo, better not rent on this.”

“Why?” she curiously asked.

“This building is on the verge of bankruptcy. I cannot keep this building even if I want to. This has no future. I also need money for the operation of my daughter.” He said as he looked at the picture of this old 5- story building.

However, it’s been months since he put his building on sale but no buyers are interested in buying his building.

“I am going to buy this.”

“Yes, it would be better if you find another … Yes?!” The man was shocked when he heard Ran.

“I am going to buy your building.”

The man looked complicated as he gazed at Ran. Ran maybe 16 years old now, but she looks younger than her age. With her expensive clothes and cool temperament, she also looked like someone from a prestigious family, so he did not dare to treat her recklessly.

However, selling this building to her felt like scamming her. So he reluctantly looks at Ran.

“Young miss, there are many buildings -”

Ran cut him off. Ram naturally knows his worries. In her past life, this building went bankrupt in the same year. However, just 5 months later after its bankruptcy, this was bought by a corporation which made it part of the most expensive condominium complexes in this province.

Ran took this knowledge as an advantage for her.

With Ran’s stubborn look, the man understood her. He could not persuade her to look for another condo.

Mr. Sy sighed, “Then, I will prepare the contract. May I have your contact?”

Ran nodded and gave him her number.

Before they parted ways, they belatedly introduced themselves to each other.

Ran went back to her hotel and took a rest. She will need energy tomorrow.

The next morning came and Mr. Sy contacted Ran.

“Young miss, here is the contract. Wouldn’t you need your attorney to read this for you?”

“No, I can handle this.”

Mr. Sy has no choice but to nod.

After reading the contract, Ran put down the paper and looked at Mr. Sy.

“Mr. Sy, I’ve decided to buy this building and in the future, I plan to turn this into a hotel. To do that, I will need your help. Which means to say, I am going to hire you after I bought your building.”

Mr. Sy was dazed by Ran’s words.

When he trying to sell his building, he knew he would have to completely let go of this because of the potential new owner. He's also already looking for another job to sustain for his family. However, this kind young miss took pity on him and he can't let her do that! Not only she bought his building, she also gave him a job.

He wanted to appeal but Ran shook her head, it was an action that showed how firm she was with her words. He then decided to give Ran a big discount.

Mr. Sy sighed and then they settled everything. The man was dazed when Ran gave him a paper bag with gold bars.

“Y-young miss? H-how can you pay with g-gold bars?”

“Don’t ask any more questions. Just look for a trusted pawn shop and sell this, or just exchange this for money.”

Mr. Sy was very nervous. He felt like his heart dropped for a moment.

How could anyone allow a little girl like Ran to carry this much money in her hand? But he did not comment because he naturally won’t understand the mindset of young ladies of wealthy families.
