Chapter 2

Plan.

Ever since Ran turned 10 years old, she started having episodes of nightmares. At first, she couldn’t exactly remember anything from her dream. However, as her nightmares became frequent, she began to faintly understand what her dream was all about.

The 10-year-old Ran couldn’t really completely understand, but based on her immature understanding of her dream, she is going to be adopted by a wealthy family. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know when that will come. Ran sighed and looked at the clear blue sky. Her dreams might be because of her desperate wish to have a loving family.

Ran’s heart suddenly beat faster. For some reason, the thought of being adopted by a wealthy family made her anxious… and scared. Ran put her hand over her chest in an attempt to calm herself. However, the lingering anxiety won't go away.

“Ran! Come here!” Ran heard Sister Jie’s voice from afar. She immediately jumped off the metal swing and ran towards Sister Jie.

“Sister Jie, you’re calling me?”

Sister Jie immediately grabbed Ran’s forearm and walked towards the bedroom hall. At some point, Ran had a de javu. To make sure, she asked her Sister Jie.

“Sister Jie, are there potential adopters coming?”

“So you’ve heard already? Then why didn’t you immediately wash up earlier?”

The anxiety that Ran was feeling earlier came back. The nightmare she'd having passed through her mind. If that vague nightmare is true, then… She has a feeling that it will be bad for her if she gets adopted.

“Sister Jie, are they from the Cheng family?” Ran asked anxiously.

“Huh? How did you know that?”

This confirmed her fear. She definitely can’t be adopted.

To avoid the meeting, Ran runs to the kitchen and eats lots of shrimp. She knew it could be bad for her health to eat shrimp as she has an allergy, but this was the only way she knew to avoid getting adopted.

However, she didn’t know how severe her allergies were. Just 30 minutes after she ate the shrimp, she started having rashes and had difficulty breathing. It was as if her heart was being squeezed and her lungs did not have enough oxygen. Minutes later, she passed out and was sent to the nearest hospital.

While she is in a comatose state, she dreams of her past life. Only then, did she finally understand what her nightmare was all about.

Ran woke up 3 days later and, from then on, she was like a completely different person.

Although Ran was a quiet child, Ran, who just woke up from her coma, became quieter. Everyone could agree that Ran developed some kind of aura that one would be afraid of approaching her.

Unbeknownst to others, Ran was just thinking over and over again what to do in her new life.

Though her revenge on the Cheng family was around 75% only, she still caused a lot of trouble to them, and it will be hard for them to shine like they did in the past. And for Ran, it was enough.

Now that she was given a second chance in life, she didn’t want to dedicate this life to revenge as she was already done with that. Revenge was a lot of work and was extremely tiring. So, she was contemplating over and over again what to do in this life.

This is a bit complicated as she can only vaguely remember things in the past that she might use in this life. Thus, she kept planning in her mind what to do.

After weeks of thinking, she finally found a reason to be enthusiastic in this life.

She wants to be a normal child like others. She wants to attend school, participate in school and international competitions, travel around the world, and have a loving family.

Those are something that she really couldn’t enjoy in her past life as she was focused on returning the so-called grace to the Cheng family by becoming their loyal dog.

However, for her to enjoy these things, she needs to get out of this orphanage and have money to start her life.

According to her memory, seven years from now, this orphanage will be exposed as a human trafficking den disguised as an orphanage. The owner of this orphanage kidnaps children and sells them at a high price. By then, the owner will be arrested, while his money will be collected by the government.

Before that happens, she needs to find the money first for her escape from this orphanage.

Thus, she started planning for her escapade.
