No one knows why we live under a dome. No one knows what is outside of these tall walls. Yet no one questions it. It's honestly better people don't question it. Because I know. I know what's outside. What lies outside these walls, are creatures that no one needs to be seen by the average person.

Journal Entry 1
June 1st 2085, How do I even start this? I haven't wrote a journal entry in a long time. At least since I was in elementary school. Well, I guess I'm writing this to make my mental stability stable. If I was to be scanned right now the scan would come up dangerously high with anxiety and stress factors. Granted, my position is alloted to have higher stress and anxiety levels. So, maybe it would be okay. I'm better off being safer then sorry. If someone is to find this, I suppose I am making this journal to talk about what day to day l ife is in my position. Just like a time capsule for the generations. What's life like right now? Crap. It wasn't long ago I was taken away from my cozy little house away from the bussle of the city. Forced to work in a world berated by possible danger. A danger that even I don't know about, yet. What's going on now? Well, no one knows. What I do know is this. I was at home making dinner when I started hearing pops of gunfire out side. I lived in a rural area, so it wasn't anything crazy or out of the ordinary. I finished cooking and sat down to eat. I noticed three large black armored vehicles driving up my drive. they get to my gate and ring in. I rang them through, put down my food and walk to the door. They park their armored vehicles, and out of the middle vehicle a skinny blond man in a fancy suit comes out; he appeared to be holding a large binder. Behind him, four men dressed in heavy armor followed close behind him. He introduced himself as Ezekiel, he claimed to be a ranked official. I knew who he was though. Though true he was a high ranked official, but in the science world he's a prodigy, he paved the way for bioengineering. The man before me invented different devices to enhance how humans exsist in the modern world. Enhanced sight, hearing, strength, etc. He made it possible to do phycological and physical scans. You can see the strength of a person, if they are stressed, hungry. You could see if they are dehydrated or if they have something medically wrong with them. It's not something everyone and their mother has, some things don't belong to the public; to a degree. Too much knowledge can definitely turn some people in the public into lunitics, obsessed with control. There was a basic version for public use, where they can check if someone's in need of medical attention, if someone needs food or water. Basically a way to let the public apply basic personal shelf aid. It's helped keep people out of the hospitals for minor injuries, allowing people who needed true aid could get aid quicker. I am actually friends with him and work as an assistant, but I didn't know he'd come to see me personally. We've known ea hother since middle-school. After he saw who I was he asked the guards to go back to the vehicles. He was acting like hes never been to my place before. All I know is that he is out of it! He asked how I was and if we could go inside and talk. This is how this conversation happened. "Hey, Alex...let's go inside." I looked at him confused. but lead the way. "Okay, but why are you here?" Ezekiel just looked serious, not saying a thing. I did a quick scan. His sanity levels were low, he was dangerously tired too. I began to grow cautious. I lead him to my living room to chat. "I know you did a scan. I'll handle the sanity level after we leave. You're the last house to evacuate in my sanction. I can't tell you a lot. Oh, cookies. Can I have one?" He takes a container of cookies from the table and starts munching away. "Sorry, I know you'll say yes. Anyway, you need to come with me to the city. I'm sure you'll understand later. You're smart." He was cryptic and didn't make a whole lot of sense. I've never seen him like this. "Make it easy on me Alex. I need your brain where we are going. Pack a bag now, and we will go. Don't worry about things now. I'll brief you soon. Soon." He looks down at the cookies. "I'm taking these okay?" He then quickly walks past me to my kitchen. I just stand there unsure about how to process what's going on. "Don't ask questions yet just go grab things." He tells me as he raids my fridge. "Fine, later then." I scurry off to pack a suitcase with clothing and other essentials. I come back to see him shoving bags of snacks into a bag. "You'll want these. You might not ever return to this house. So say you're goodbyes to it." His voice is void of emotion. His eyes appeared blank. "Let's go." "H-hold on!" He rushes me whipping out a hand gun a back up against a wall with my hands up he pressed his gun to my head. "Hey, I said don't ask questions yet. Don't make me kill you. Let's get out of here." "Okay, okay let's just go then I'm ready." My heart was leaping out of my chest. "Before we leave. Breathe. Get your heart rate lowered." He left to pick up the snacks. "Oh, You can take your plate of food with you. You can sit with me." We leave and I enter the vehicle. We drove approaching the city where we work, only to find a large dome with tall walls. "How did we build this around the city so fast. That's what you're thinking right now. Take this." He hands me a device. It was a small metal bracelet, seemingly made of the same material as the wall. "This emits a high frequency that resonates with the Earth. It acts as a form of camouflage to them. For some reason their machines can't detect things under this protection and even under various scanners it doesn't pick up. This is their technology we've taken from them." He looks at me. "Don't worry you've actually been working with this stuff for the back few months. The nanobots you're working on use this metal too." I just nod. I'm overwhelmed with the surplus of information. "I'll let you keep your memory on why your here. I need someone to know what I know too, incase I can't continue." "This is a lot. I have to admit. But I'm sure you'll tell me when you can." After that ride he set me up in a nice building with anything I'd need. He just told me to come to work in the morning at a different address then normal and he'd go through a briefing. There's so much I don't know. Before he left he told me this was a good way to keep my mind sane. I agree, this has lifted a load off of my chest. Even if no one sees this. My reality is left on these pages. Well mine and so many others.
