Third Person's POV:
Princess Nuri did not want to leave the loving and safe embrace of her mate, but they both knew that Aidan needed to hear the remainder of the story, as it would be of vital importance, especially now that it seemed the past which was supposed to be gone for good had come back and was sitting in their dungeon.
She looked into Adam's eyes, he nodded, and she linked telling Aidan to come to their chambers in the next 15 minutes, giving him enough time to ensure Odette had someone by her side and to put his mind at least relatively at ease.
Aidan did just as his other had expected, he ensured that Natalie and Daniel would both be there with Odette, checked on all her readings, spoke with Dr. Linda to ensure he was clear with all the details, and then he headed to his parent's chambers.
He knocked at the door with 3 minutes to spare, and his father opened the door, "So how is she doing?"
"She is doing okay dad. Her magic levels are not changing, but her physical vitals are almost back to normal. I asked Natalie and Daniel to stay with her, which got me a punch from Natalie. Sometimes I wonder how she and Odette are sisters because they are so different. And then I confirmed all the details with Dr. Linda, who agreed that my observations were correct." Then he lowered his voice for only his father to hear, "How is mama doing?"
"You can ask me that yourself sweetheart. You know better than to whisper when I am around... Here, come to me." She said spreading her arms apart for a hug. Aidan quickly went to her.
"See he proves to be my son... He too loves hugs." Said Adam, winking at Nuri.
Both Princess Nuri and Aidan looked back at him smiling. Nuri took Aidan back to the same couch they had been sitting on a while ago.
"Are you ready to hear the remaining my dearest?" she asked Aidan. Aidan had mentally prepared himself on the way to his parent's chambers, "Yes, I am. We all need to be on the same page if we are going to sort this problem. I am sorry that you have to go through this all over again."
Adam looked at his son, he was yet young, but he was so mature, understanding and empathetic. He was proud of the boy they were raising and the man he would be. Looking at Nuri, he knew she was thinking the very same thing.
"Oh my precious, I am so touched that you are worried about me. But you and your father are right, we all need to be on the same page if we are to solve this."
So she pulled him close to her as Adam came to sit beside her as well. She was sitting between two pillars of her life, and how she missed her father terribly at that moment. She thought of how things had progressed the last time Roark had been a part of her life and promised herself, "This time things will end differently. They have to..."
