Chapter 1
My train of thoughts was cut off upon hearing loud noises. I tore my gaze from the classroom's window and looked at my classmates who were loudly gossiping about something. One of them even sat on the table and was too focused on listening.
I averted my gaze from them and looked at the pen I was holding. I was busy spacing out a while ago and I already forgot that I was taking notes. I positioned myself and continued what I was doing.
"Maggy is dead." One of them announced.
I heard the loud gasps around the room. I couldn't help the curiosity creeping into my system so I continued writing while my ears were focused on them, finally deciding to eavesdrop.
"She was found dead in the bathroom of her room. They said it was an overdose." continued by the one who announced it. There was a defaining silence afterwards.
Margarette Santillan, also known as Maggy, is a famous student on the campus. I've seen her once. She is beautiful and also a smart woman. Her family is known in the town because her father is a known politician. While most people look up to her, many also hate her. According to them, she has a rubbish attitude.
"That is too sudden. I am positive Maggy won't do that to herself. She's not like that." a girl with a soft voice said.
"Yeah," a guy agreed. "there is definitely a foul play." he continued.
"If she really did it, what could be her reasons? I can't think of any possible reason that would make her arrive at that decision. She enjoys her privilege more than anyone in this world."
They were silent after that when another girl broke it.
"Foul play or not, I'm glad it happened to her. She deserves it."
I lifted my head to find the owner of the voice and found a girl wearing a thick pair of glasses. Although her glasses were thick, rage and triumph were visible in her eyes.
I saw the shocked expressions on their faces. A guy was about to say something when a teacher arrived, cutting him off. They were then required to go back to their seats.
I brought my gaze back at the nerd girl, eyeing her intently. The moment she found my eyes, her expression changed. It went pale and immediately tore her gaze off me.
