Resisting My Five Mates

Chapter 3

I abruptly wake up from one thought: twenty-four hours from my 18th birthday. I jolt up and scramble to get dressed since I had a busy day. Today was devoted to the preparation of my party tomorrow night. My mom made me invite the entire school. She said it was Alpha Michael's idea since one of them could possibly be my potential mate. I dash down the hallway in hopes to have a quick breakfast before starting this long exhausting day. I stumbled and ended up in a tucking roll on the floor of the kitchen. I hurriedly ate before calling Cecilia over to help out with the shopping.

A knock can be heard from the front door and I know immediately it is Cecilia. I grab my car keys and rush out the front door. I run smack dead into a wall before I could get to the end of my porch. Glancing up I see it is out future Alpha Chris and future Beta Billy. I blushed hard as I have a crush on Beta Billy. Alpha Chris watches me with a questionable look and then glances to his Beta. "Hey, how can I help you Alpha and Beta?" I never stopped staring at Billy. The Alpha stepped in front of me before speaking. "My dad told me to bring over this box. He said it is for you to wear at your party tonight." I take the box puzzled as to what it could be. I didnt want to open it yet seeing as I was about to leave to shop. "Thank you. I will have to thank him as well. I'm just going to put this inside since I'm headed out." I quickly put the box on the table next to the door before closing and locking the front door.

Walking off the porch, I head towards my car. "Where are you headed?" Alpha Chris stared at his Beta after the question he had asked. "I'm just going shopping to all the things I will need for this party." "Well I hope you have a good day," the Beta smiled after his response. I watch as they walked off and Cecilia approached my car. " What was that about?" I shrugged before replying. "They brought over a gift from the Alpha." We exchanged looks while getting inside the vehicle.

Our first stop was a boutique to get me a one of a kind outfit for my party. Everyone usually has a formal party and mine is no different. But I am different. I wanted a dress that will make my mate want me while still being formal as required. I had a special dress made from my own design. I just had to try it on first to make sure it fits perfectly. I walk out the dressing room wearing the dress along with my matching heels to see a happy, but shocked expression on my friend's face. "Lisa! You look stunning. So hot but still elegant." "Thank you." "This is really different from all the dresses I usually see. Cant believe you designed it." I smile before returning to the dressing room.

After paying for my creation, we pick up all the decorations and stop by the caterers to pick out the menu. With everything finished and the fall of night, I take Cecilia home before returning home myself. My mom wasnt home and I was starving. I think it might be safe to say eating is one of my favorite hobbies. I heat up some leftovers from last night and enjoy for the second time.

I stuffed my face and headed to my room for some good ole television. I flopped down on my bed and began flicking through the channels. I stop when I see some horror serial killer movie on. I didnt care that I had never seen it. I just loved a good horror or slasher movie. I lay comfortably in bed watching the movie and before I know it, sleep consumes me.

*Alpha Chris POV*

My dad had me go to Lisa's house to take her some gift. I didnt mind seeing as I didnt really know her that well. I know it's my duty to know my future pack but she was a few years younger than me. She was closer to my Beta's age. I didnt really want to go alone so I mind linked Billy to meet me downstairs in the pack house. Usually when a wolf turns seventeen, they move into the pack house for a year. This happens to get them ready to live away from their family once they find their mates at eighteen and older. It is not mandatory but it is tradition.

We arrived outside of her house. Before I could knock, a sweet smell of vanilla and chocolate surrounded my nostrils. Something smelled so delicious that it kind of made me hungry. I couldnt wait to get back home to eat. I knocked on the door and stepped back some. The door opened rushing that same scent towards me even stronger. And that's when she ran into me. She stepped back glancing at the both of us before speaking. It was her. The smell was coming from her. My wolf, Max, whispered one word: Mate.

She was very beautiful and tall. She looked very fulfilled and confident. I know she doesnt know we are mates yet but it did sadden Max that she barely looked our way. I watched as my mate blushed for another man. My Beta flirting with my mate before my eyes. As much as I wanted to stop all of this an reveal my self, I realize I didnt really know her. I would like to know more about her before I accept the mating process with her. She was basically a complete stranger destined to rule as my Luna.

Billy questioned my mate about her plans for today. "I'm just going shopping to get all the things I will need for this party." "Well I hope you have good day." I tugged him away towards the car to leave. I can tell he likes my mate. I was about going to tell him how I felt about it but decided that I dont want anyone to know until I get to know her for myself. We drive away heading back to the pack house. I wonder will she sense me like I sense her?
