How was this happening to me? I was just a wolf. I needed more answers. I ran down the hall, down the stairs, and out the front door. I noticed while leaving the party was still going on. Glad to see someone was enjoying my party. I dashed across the beautifully decorated lawn towards the limo that brought me to the pack house. The driver drove the long winding roads back to my house. I arrived home close to midnight. Midnight was supposed to be the time I would meet my wolf face to face. Sadly, this will not happen tonight and I still wasn't given a reason I wont. I tossed my dress on my bed and quickly searched for something I could relax in. I found a black tank top, black leggings, and my black nike slides. I looked over at the black box the former Alpha gave me. I forgot I never opened it. I picked up the box as I sat on the edge of my bed. I untied the purple ribbon and lift the lid off. My eyes widened to the sparkling surprise in front of me. It was a diamond and purple amethyst, jeweled encrusted crown! There was also a note. 'To: my beautiful daughter in law. May your first crown, as future Luna, give you luck!' I smiled warmly. He already thought of me as his daughter in law. Suddenly, a light bulb went off in my head. "How did he know I was fated to the Alpha?" 'You really think the Alpha wouldnt know who his son would be fated to? Do you even think Alpha Chris didnt know it was you? Alphas are the strongest wolves, under us ofcourse. They have a sense out of this world.' I blankly stared out into a dark room. "What do you mean the strongest under us?" My wolf laughted and she paced around. 'Do I have to tell you everything? We are what you call, Supreme Lord. We are very rare and only born to a time era that will see a great war. We are a weapon if you would like to simplify things. We have a few other purposes as well but I think I'll keep that cat in the bag for now.'
Before I could respond my wolf shut me out. You can't just unleash information like that and just leave. Rude much? That last comment earned me a chuckle from my wolf before she exited again. "Lisa, Come to me." A voice was calling inside my head. It was not the same as the one in my dream. This voice belonged to Alpha Chris. "I'm in your backyard." I gasped.
*Alpha Chris POV*
After she left the party, I followed her. After all she is my mate. I wanted to make sure she was ok. I dont know what is happening to her but I do care enough, for this strange mate of mine, to protect her. I watched as she ran inside and I quickly ducked off to her backyard. I listened to her talk to her wolf about my father. I could only hear from her end though. I thought about mind linking her but that only works once we are connected to a bond. 'Actually you can. She and I are special.' I heard this sweet voice in my head. It could only be her wolf. After that she showed me images on me and Lisa that has not happened yet. "Are these real? I mean will this happen?" 'Yes, and only if you choose her.' I held my face in my hands. I was hesitant about her because I knew nothing about her. Now after seeing that, I know my plan to get to know her first will not be neccessary. I mindlink Lisa to come join me in her backyard. We had some talking to do.
Lisa came outside from the back sliding patio door. Though she was no longer dressed the same, she was still so beautiful in the moonlight. "I came to see if you were ok. I figured we could talk more if you were up to it." She glanced at me with a smile and said," Thank you Alpha. I'm just startled by what happend at the party. I mean one mate is good, but two mates that are Alphas is intimidating." I laughed so hard I lost my balance and fell on the soft grass below our feet. "Why would you be intimidated? If anything I should feel that way. I'm competing with another Alpha." She chuckled and I thought it was the cutest thing ever. "I dont think you are competing. I honestly think I am expected to accept you both. At least that's how my wolf sees it." I thought about what she said. It is possible she could choose us both. I would have to share my mate. I'm not fond of it but the images I saw proves it will be worth it. "I, Alpha Christopher Ivy, accept you, Lisa James, as my Luna and mate." A smile etched her face. " I, Surpeme Lord Lisa James, accept you , Alpha Christopher Ivy, as my Alpha and mate." Did she just say Supreme Lord? The ancient text I read about them said they have an unusual amount of fated mates, powers unheard of belonging to a wolf, can be immortal, and only one is born during a time period when there is destined to be a great war. As much as I love having a very strong Luna, this also means war follows closely behind.
The thoughts ran through my mind, but only one burned brightly than the rest: to kiss my mate. I grabbed her hand lightly pulling her close to me. She narrowed her eyes. Right when I was getting closer, she grabbed my face and laid a kiss upon my lips. I deepened the kiss since originally it was my plan. She pulled away breathing heavy and said,"I beat you to it since you had not fully made up your mind." How did she know what I was thinking?
