Chapter 1
"What??." Linda screamed, the smile and excitement on her face turned to sadness. The handbag fell out of her hand as she stared at them in disbelief.
She started hearing moans two doors away from his room but concluded it was a sound effect, not knowing he was having fun with someone else.
Stanley and Lily stopped the act immediately and sat on the bed looking at her in disgust.
"What are you doing here Lily?" Linda asked after finding her voice.
"You must be blind to see we are having fun here." She replied bluntly.
"Stanley, don't just stare at me without saying anything." She urged him.
"I truly have nothing to say other than to see you leave this place this minute." He asked her out, tears lined under her eyebrows ready to roll down, but she prevented that from occurring at that moment.
"You are asking me out of your house, Stanley? It is Linda, the lady you want to spend the rest of your life with, the lady you love with everything you have, the lady yo..."
"Stop right there, what is your problem? Do you think he will choose you over me? We might come from a family, but we are two different people. You are nothing but a slave who doesn't deserve anything good.
Stanley is far beyond your level, which means you are nothing to him." Lily cut her off and lashed words of insult at her.
"I have broken up with you before now, but I will make it official to you. Linda, you are no longer my girlfriend and Lily here is my girlfriend. I love you baby." Stanley declared and kissed her forehead. Linda was too shocked to move.
Stanley was the only person she was always confined to whenever she experienced ugly situations from her father, stepmother and her stepsister (Lily).
They always treated her like a piece of garbage. She became the maid immediately her stepmother stepped into the house. Her father wasn't helping the matter at all as he believed all the lies they told against her until he hated her as well.
What have I done to deserve this from you two?" She asked. The tears which she had been preventing rolled down her cheek freely.
"A maid doesn't deserve to live a good life. He once belonged to you, but now he is mine forever." Lily declared, climbed on him and slammed her lips on his. They stopped after a few seconds.
"To tell you the truth, I was just managing you for all this while, the love I confessed and the promises I made to you are all counterfeit. Lily is the one I truly love." He stated, Linda burst into loud tears. She couldn't believe Stanley could do that to her after all the promises and love he showered on her.
"Get the h*ll out of this room you this wretched useless fool." Lily insulted her more and rolled her eyes at her.
"I didn't expect you to do this." Linda said to Stanley in a lower tone. He stood up from the bed looking frustrated and provoked. He covered his lap with a towel.
"Since you don't want to leave, then force needs to be applied," he said, climbing off the bed.
He walked to where she was and pushed her out of the room. She fell flat on the floor, but quickly knelt down in tears.
"Please don't leave me, you are all I have got." She pleaded.
"You have nothing to offer me. Whenever I ask for money you always complain about not working, even if you do, the salary will be taken by your family. Anyway, I demand s*x. You always reject that also. So, what did you want me to do?
Lily is the only one who satisfies me with everything. I'm never going to leave her for you or anybody else. Have a mournful day." He explained and shut the door right on her face.
He became saddened. Linda had been the only lady he loved, but he could not jeopardize his future for a lady.
Lily offered a mouth-watering offer to him just to date her, which would benefit him a lot.
Stanley tilted his neck to his back as Lily ran her fingers through his hair.
"I love the way you chase her away like a dog, that is what she truly deserves anyway. If you continue doing that, you will be greatly rewarded with money and my body." She stated and hugged him from behind.
"Don't worry, I will do everything you ask me to, but you must also do your part."
"Don't doubt me, Stanley, the money is not the problem at all and other things I promised. Keep calm." She assured and smiled.
Linda stood up and dusted her clothes, life had been dealing with her terribly. Only if her mother was alive then her father wouldn't have gotten married to a wicked woman who birthed someone with her replica.
Sofia and George sat on the sofa enjoying the movie which was showing on the TV set.
George's phone began ringing, he reached for it on the table and picked it up.
"Hello, Mr Ford." He greeted her joyfully.
"I have an offer for your daughter Lily. Mr Thompson, the second-richest man in the city, wants to get married to his son who has gone bankrupt. In order to cover his secret, a marriage must take place." He explained in detail.
"How much is he offering the family?"
"Mr Thompson is willing to pay 200 million dollars to the family."
"I will think about it and call you later." George said, and hung up the call.
Sofia looked at him with furrowed brows. "My daughter will never get married to him, at least not in this lifetime." She disagreed immediately.
"We have to agree with this, he is offering a huge sum of money for that." He tried to convince her, she rested her head on the headboard, giving it some thought. The money will go a long way, but she won't allow her daughter to do it.
A smile appeared on her lips as she remembered something. "What if we replace Linda with Lily?" She asked. George nodded immediately in agreement.
"She is not useful for anything, sending her off to someone like her will do a lot of good." Sofia added to back up her suggestion, a smug smile followed.
