Tavern
It was late afternoon. The sun was setting, the usually empty tavern was slowly starting to come to life as the townsfolk decided to take a break from their busy lives. The markets closed for the day, shops packed up and ready for the next morning. People on this side of the town never paid much attention to detail. Nobody cared much about fugitives or wanted posters. Most people in this area were fugitives. Rarely did royal guards venture to this side of the town. And if they did, they'd most likely turn up dead somewhere. Lurking in the booth right at the back of the tavern was a young female. A beautiful specimen. Long, curly and bouncy brunette hair sprawled charmingly over her shoulders and back. Her coat resting messily on the seat opposite to her. A clear sign she didn't want any company. No one dared to approach her. Except for one individual. A gorgeous individual stood above her, peering down at her with curious eyes. Her head snapped up, face clear with a scowl as her bright, green eyes ran over the individual standing in front of her. As much as she would hate to admit it, the man in front of her was absolutely dashing. Head to toe. His black, scruffy, short hair was in a complete disheveled mess like he had just gotten into a fight with a bird of some sorts. His piercing, blue eyes staring directly into her soul, like he could see everything bad she had ever done. Sending a shiver down her spine. He had a scar across his right eye. Probably from a fight. Though, she let her gaze drop further. His nose was slightly crooked, like he had broken it sometime in the past and it never healed properly. His lips curved slightly into a small smirk at the edges, even if he wasn't trying. Did she dare to look further down? Indeed. His body was heavenly. Though it was covered in basic common clothing, she could easily see his bulging muscles, veins clear as day on his biceps and forearms. If it was any other female, they'd be drooling all over him already. But quite unfazed, she continued on. Her eyes daringly venturing further. Chest strong, posture straight, radiating nothing but confidence and authority. A small "ahem" erupted from the man, causing her to stop her eyes from venturing any further down. Quickly they return to his intense and curious gaze as if asking "what". Was this man an important status that she had not known about? His aura was much like a King's. Or even higher of ranks. Though, his clothing didn't exactly scream royalty. If anything, people would easily mistaken him for a common servant. Perhaps that was the idea? "May I take a seat?" He asked. His voice was smooth and attractive. A beautiful sound to her ears. And before she could even answer, he tugged her coat from the seat and tossed it onto her lap before gracefully taking a seat across from her. The scowl on her face only growing bigger and more prominent. Though, it only made the man across from her chuckle in absolute delight. "Marvelous." He spoke out under his breath as he gazed at the female opposite him. "Can I help you?" The woman asked in disgust. She hated having unwelcome company more than anything. The man just grinned ear to ear with a mischievous look beaming from his eyes. "You can, indeed. By telling me your name." Her name? That was it? "And if I tell you? Will you leave me alone?" She asked, tilting her head to the side ever so slightly. "That..." The gorgeous male in front of her just tilted his head back a little and let out a laugh. It was like music to her ears. And that's why she hated it so much. The look of disgust returned to her face instantly. "So eager to get rid of me? And yet, you barely know me." "I don't need to know you to know I already don't like you." She admitted, a small, bitter smile appearing over her beautiful, cherry lips. Watching as he gazes at her relentlessly, she let out an exhausted sigh. "The name's Arwyn."
