I honestly don’t know why but I must have slept so long cause my mom had to come wake me up, I found that really weird cause I had talked to Mr Invincible only for a short time, and all he had told me in my dream tonight was that I was improving better than him and that I had better control on my powers in comparison to him, I am guessing it was probably because I was subconsciously limiting my powers and not using too much of it. My mom just looked at me and told me Hitoshi was waiting for me downstairs, what? Hitoshi was here? How? Hitoshi had not come here in like years but I really found it odd he came here, I had planned to go on a hike but I guess I would have to sacrifice that cause I now had a guest. I washed my mouth and headed down the stairs, there, I saw Hitoshi, he smiled at me and said good morning bro, I was just like hey man, how you doing, he was like oh I’m fine, and you man? I don’t know why but the conversation felt really really weird. Probably in a bid to clear the weirdness in the air, Hitoshi apologized for yesterday, he told me he was really sorry and that he was going to spend as much time as I did on suspension. I told him it was fine and that was not necessary but he said it was and that he insists, I wonder why my mom was so chill about it, I mean come on, she had always told me to avoid Hitoshi ever since he switched up and that’s when Hitoshi mentioned it, he had actually apologized to my mom when he called yesterday, it was almost like he could read my mind, I was just like oh yeah bro, that’s cool. I told him I had earlier planned to take a hike but since he was here, what were we going to do, he told me he was also interested in hiking and just like that, we were outside and even though I was barely using any of my speed, Hitoshi could barely keep, we hiked for a couple of hours and decided to go back, I asked Hitoshi if he wanted to hit the gym? He looked at me with tired eyes and simply told me he could literally die right now if he had nothing to eat, I laughed and we hit a restaurant, he got hamburgers, some soda and some French fries while I got some chicken nuggets, some chicken pie and some soda, for some reason Hitoshi decided to pay, probably because he was way richer than my family, yeah, Hitoshi himself was probably richer than my entire family, considering how rich his family was. While we ate, Hitoshi just bombarded me with questions, he asked me if going to gym was what got me so ripped and how did I grow so tall, I told him that yeah, growing tall happened subconsciously and that it motivated me to get jacked. He then asked me if I was still a virgin, I told him yes and he was like oh you nerd, I asked him if he was and he was like yeah, I’m still a virgin, I then called him nerd too and we both laughed. He then asked me if I now had a superpower, I told him yeah and asked him how he knew or was it just a guess, he told me that was not the case because yesterday, I actually caved his skull in with just a kiss and that if Felicia was not there to completely heal his injury, he would probably be dead, I just looked on at him in horror, I immediately apologized and told him I was massively holding back because thinking about it, I knew his durability was probably zero or lower and for that reason, I reduced my power to the barest minimum just enough to put him down. He then told me he and Felicia were now in a relationship, that hit like a bomb, I had always like Felicia but I guess I had to be happy for my friend and if I truly loved her, I would let go of this feelings I had for her. I congratulated him and wished him the best on his relationship. We ate in silence afterwards because Hitoshi would not get off his phone and I had misplaced mine and since my mom probably could not afford one, I would be without one for a while, things had really been hard since dad died. Ever since I was a child, I had always adored my dad and when he died, my world kind of broke down, I thought about all the fishing trips we went on, how he always got me what I needed, the football games we would watch together while my elder brother was in college, my dad was a very constant and important part of my life and after he died when I was eight, let’s just say things didn’t go too well, at first, we could live off what he left us but since he had taken out a huge loan for a business which later failed, we were in debt before we knew it and like that wasn’t enough, my elder brother died too, my mom was honestly damaged and I guess she’s being so nice and protective with me because she didn’t want to lose me too. My dad died in a way similar to my elder brother’s, an aircraft incident, you see, my dad was in the air force and uhm, you see, unlike airliners, fighter jets aren’t pressurized all too well and uhm, you see, if you ran out of oxygen in the tank of your mask, you would you know, pass out and die, even if you took off the mask, you still would and that was what happened with my dad. I and Hitoshi finished up and simply went on our way, while we were going to the gym, Hitoshi asked me why I had not picked his calls yesterday and today, I explained to him that I had lost my phone and that I might not be able to get one for a while cause I was dead broke. He stopped me and called up his driver, I asked him why and he told me he wanted to get something and that I had to follow him, I told him okay and we waited until his driver got here which took about five minutes, we got in and our first stop was a Nike store, Hitoshi got a blue tracksuit, a white shirt, some underwear and a blue/white Air Jordan. We got back in and we went over to the Hanagaki mansion, damn, been a long long time I came here, this place is hella huge, we got into the garage and honestly, their garage was like twice the size of our entire house in space, plus, it was filled with a whole lot of exotic cars of different colours. We went in and Hitoshi told me to freshen up, I went to one of their five guest rooms, and damn, this was bigger than my parents room and boom, it had its own bathroom, new soap, new toothbrush, new toothpaste, new towels, it just had everything you needed, I took a nice warn shower and dried myself up, I wonder why my hair never loses it’s shape even when I had my bath, guess its another perk of my powers, it also seems to not be growing, it’s just as it is. I went out with the towel and as I was about to put on my dirty cloth, I saw the clothing Hitoshi bought from the Nike store, he put a note next to it and told me not to be a dirty boy, and put this on. I just laughed, this nigga really be doing the wildest things. I put it on and yeah, I looked really good. I got out and saw him already downstairs, I climbed down and saw that our clothing was perfectly matched, I wondered what for, were we going for an event? I thoroughly thanked him for the meal and for the clothing but he just laughed it off and said we were cool. We got in the car and I asked Hitoshi where we were going to, he told me we were going to an Apple store, I asked what for and he sarcastically told me, to get oranges, we both laughed a little cause that was a dead joke and then he actually replied, he wanted to get the new Apple phone and me losing my phone actually reminded him of that. I told him okay and we continued talking about irrelevant things on the way. We got to the Apple store and we walked in, Hitoshi got two of the latest phones and two airpods, two? Why? Was it for……… As I was thinking, I heard five gunshots, what the hell? I looked back and saw a robber, he told everyone to get and they simply did seeing that he just put down the two security guards. I was about to get down when I saw Hitoshi run forward to hit him, the robber pulled the trigger and I knew Hitoshi would die if that bullet hit him. I ran in front of him with super speed and the bullet bounced off me and lodged in a glass, he pulled the trigger again and the exact same thing happened, I ran towards him at super speed and took the gun out of his hand while simultaneously punching him. My hand bounced off and my hand really had no impact on his body and that was when I realized it. He must have a force field around his body, that must be his super power, I knew what to do, I had to hit him with super strength and I had to do it at super speed. I decided to blitz him like he was a total joke, I ran at super speed and punched the right side of the face while his face was still recoiling from the impact of that, I punched the left side of his face and I immediately kicked his legs to make him fall but before he fell, I kicked his butt to raise him high in the air then, I jumped and put him straight down. He hit the ground violently and left a dent in the floor. He had unsurprisingly passed out and oh well, everyone was safe, a worker there called the police and he was arrested, the officers thanked me but reminded me that since I was not a licensed hero, I was not to ever use my powers but that they would leave me off the hook because there were no casualties today. I nodded and went back to join Hitoshi, he thanked me for saving his life and I just told him it was cool. He wanted to pay for what we bought but the manager said it was on the house because of what we had done, Hitoshi took it and we left, I honestly wish I had tried to buy one even if I did not have the money, then, I would at least have a phone now. We got back in the car and Hitoshi handed me one of the two phones and an airpod, he told me he had planned to get us the pair each but I had that covered already. I laughed and told him I just got lucky, I guess. I was hoping to go home but Hitoshi’s mother had called and she had invited me over for dinner. I had to call my mom in order to let her know I was staying over at Hitoshi’s place for the night, I was really hoping she would not object, since I and Hitoshi had just gotten friendly again but surprisingly, she was completely okay with it, she told me to stay the night over at Hitoshi’s because she was working overnight this time. She also mentioned that she had let I and Hitoshi hang out today because he had apologized to her yesterday for everything he had put me through and that she believes that so long as people have learnt the error of their ways and are ready to make things better and change, then, maybe, just maybe, they deserve another chance and that she would like me to give that to Hitoshi, I told her I would, told her I loved her and that I would see her tomorrow, little did I know that tragedy was about to strike. We got to the Hanagaki mansion and I could smell some pasta, sauce and some barbecued turkey, looks like dinner’s gonna be a treat. We got in and before dinner was served, we decided to watch some tv, it was on the news channel and the six thirty news was on, and the headline this evening was teenage kid saves phone store from robbers. Woah, woah, woah, would you believe that the security footage from the phone store was shown, it was slowed down just enough for it to be clearly seen, there I was, saving Hitoshi and beating up the armed robber and would you believe it, I was now trending on every social media, I was somewhat now something of a local celebrity, this should actually be a natural occurrence but I guess the fact that using powers were not allowed made that not the case. I was now popular for no reason or as people say in their hashtags, the fearless boy, rebellious hero and all sorts of nicknames I have no business with. I was trying to change the channel when Hitoshi’s father came in, Mr Hitoshi Hanagaki Snr, there he was looking right at me, and just like that, He bowed to me and told me arigato, which I think is Japanese for thanks, I told him it was no problem and then, he nodded and left. Wait, how did I know he just thanked me, it’s not like I could speak or understand any Japanese, I guess it was all this wisdom and knowledge that came with my powers. Well, soon after he left, we were told dinner was ready and lo and behold, these people are actually really calling a feast dinner, I was not hungry or thirsty but I ate and drank anyways. Then, dessert was served, it was probably the best apple pie of all time, well, it certainly was the best apple pie I had ever had. When we were done with dinner, Hitoshi invited me into his room for football games on his gaming console. He chose Real Madrid and I chose Football Club Barcelona, we had always had this rivalry with each other, I was a strong Messi fan and he was a strong Ronaldo fan, neither of us would yield on who was better, although, I am quite literally sure it was Messi, I mean come on, think about it, a part of my powers is Sulaimon’s wisdom and I still believe Messi is the better player. Well, you see if we were to go by the results of the first two games however, Ronaldo was way better because I literally could not manage a goal against Hitoshi, he was beating me like I was a kid, after five games, the best scoreline I had was a seven to nil loss. Hitoshi was definitely not holding back but oh well, time to put my powers to use, I played the controller with some speed and used my reaction speed to quickly and efficiently visualize who to pass to and what to do. It was half time and Hitoshi was already losing ten to nothing, we had only just begun the second half when a girl came in, it was Hitoshi’s elder sister, if I remember correctly, she was in a boarding school, looks like she was on some holiday. She rushed in and hugged Hitoshi tightly, obviously ignoring me. She did notice me though, and when she did, her face went instantly red and she was blushing so hard, she smiled and stretched out her hand to me, I shook her hand and that was when I noticed it, her hands were sweaty, she was sweating in an air conditioned place, I donno if it was just a figment of my imagination but I am pretty sure Mia, Hitoshi’s elder sister liked me. She left soon enough and instead of us continuing with the game, Hitoshi just stared at me and I looked at and was like what? He smiled and told me, you know what, you bad boy, I was like no I do not, he laughed a little and told me his sister likes me and that he was sure I knew, I told him she didn’t like me and that even if she did, I had no idea. He smirked and just simply told me that even I actually had no idea like I claim is the case, he was telling me now and that I can do with that information whatever I will but that I should not manipulate or exploit her, he told me I could go for her if I wanted to, after all, he trusts me and it wasn’t like he could marry his sister or something. I told him to keep his mouth shut and just let us complete the game, and after adding seven to the previous ten, the game came to an end, seventeen goals to nothing, a rather humiliating defeat for Hitoshi. All of a sudden, he was tired and could not play anymore, I laughed at him and told him to have a good night, oh and also, to sleep well. I went outside of his room and there was Mia, with make up on and the most beautiful blue dress I had ever seen, it actually matched my dressing. I was actually holding back laughter because she was obviously trying to impress me for God knows whatever reason, I mean come on who changes clothing and puts on make up at night. She asked if it was okay to walk me to the guest room and I told her that was fine and as we were walking, she asked if I was really Liam, I told her I was and laughed a little, she told me that it was just that I looked really really different from the last time she saw me which was years ago, so, that makes sense, I told her yeah and for some reason, she held my hand, I did not object, I mean come on, I have always liked Mia, she was like my first ever love, the first person I ever had feelings for. There was this awkward silence as we walked and then, we got to the guest room, she hugged me and told me to have a good night, I pecked her and simply told her, you too love. She smiled and simply told me goodbye, dropped my hands and left, damn, she’s hot. As I was looking at her walk off, I noticed her dad looking at me, he simply laughed and continued sipping his tea, I walked inside the room a little embarrassed and just wondered if he had actually seen me or not. I certainly hope the f**k not. As I walked in, I noticed that my cloth had been dry-cleaned, I simply just went to bed, as ice cube would say, it was a good DAY…………………………………………………………………………………….
