Episode 11: Battle
It was time to resume college now, I had been offered a scholarship at the prestigious Invincible Uni in Souchester, that hero school is probably everyone’d dream, I really had just accepted the offer once I got the request. It had been an unpleasant couple of months so far but oh well, it was time to start over. I had spent a lot of time with Annabelle and now, you could now call us best of friends, I had worked together with coldfire a couple of times and oh well, we had had a nice time bonding, he had taken back what he said about me killing after he found out what Mr Hitoshi had done, he told me to not be a bad example, I should look up to the speed hero, Light-speed. I really had no idea who that was but oh well, whatever, also, Hitoshi now had total control over all the wealth, properties and companies of the Hangaki family. Why? Well, after I murdered his dad, his mom decided she wanted to take her life too in order to get rid of the shame and pain. He and Mia hated me way beyond my imagination but oh well, whatever, I do not care in anyway. I went to school with a clean mind and oh well, guess who I bumped into at the entrance, it was Annabelle, she was walking with a guy, oh well, I’m gonna be honest with you, this guy was the most handsome person I had ever seen or should I say beautiful, whatever, he looked so nice. His haircut was a long comb over with a medium fade and a parting on the right side of his head, he had no facial hair but his air covered parts of his forehead properly, his jawline was just perfect and oh look at him, he was just of average height but he was nicely dressed and he looked so good. I apologized and Annabelle just told me it was alright, then, she introduced me to the guy, she called him Justin Rice or as he was called in his native country of Soula, the speed hero, Light-speed. My jaw dropped as I looked at him, I was totally in shock, I had searched everywhere for any hero named Light-speed but I had found nothing. I was also really not prepared to note that Justin Rice would actually be a hero, I asked both of them what they were doing here and they both told me that Invincible Uni had also drafted them into their ranks. I was confused though, wasn’t Justin already a hero, why was he here, he then told me he had been a hero since he was fourteen but that he only came here in order to take the proper training on being an hero and not just the shortcut. I asked him why there were only news of him but no details or videos about him on the net and why they called him speed hero, they only called me superhero. He chuckled and told me there was no proof of his existence because he wanted to keep his family safe, he would save people but his family had to stay out of it. I told him that was smart and then, he told me they called him the speed hero because his powers were based solely on speed. He then mentioned that they called me a superhero because I had numerous abilities. So, they chose instead of choosing one, unlike his own which was just one. I asked how fast he was and he told me he would be happy to show me, I told him to let us race instead while making a bet of a hundred dinar’s that I was faster than him, a bet he willingly accepted, Annabelle refused to allow us do it but we had made up our mind, the race began and oh well, you really could not call that a race, he literally made me bite the dust, I played catch up the few seconds that the race lasted and sadly, I suffered my first ever superhero defeat and paid him a hundred dinar as promised. Annabelle shook her head and we all proceeded to sign our entrance forms, we did that and we were about to leave when the speakers informed us that all new students were to gather up at the mega stadium just outside the school, along with all second year students, we went immediately and oh well, they told us to sit at a corner and the second years at the other corner, we were ten in number who were new and the second years were twelve, and good lord, guess what? Mia was a second year student here and like me, Hitoshi was a fresher, oh lord, bad things in a good place, guess I won’t be starting afresh like I thought I would anyways, there were other plans made out just for me. An instructor came in and sent out two second year students, making both sides ten a piece, he then notified us that the school are not sure of who to assign as our teachers, so, as was the school’s tradition, they were going to make us fight the senior years and will look strictly at our strengths and weaknesses before giving us a teacher. He then told us we were not to fight dangerously and that we would be called out to fight based on how well we did in the entrance exams. He then started listing, he said in last place was Hitoshi Hanagaki who only just barely made it and he would be going up against Michael Showdem, he then told us the powers of both of them, Michael Showdem had fire as his super power while Hitoshi Hanagki had super strength. He then told both of them that they should head to the podium immediately, he then told them what the rules were, you had to simply immobilise your opponent, hit his back to the ground or get him off the podium. Once they had both gotten to the podium, he bellowed at them to start and oh well, this Michael guy was beyond strong, the fire he was emitting was a lot and it was literally so hot that we could feel the heat even though we were so far away from him. He left no space for Hitoshi and he just had to jump off the podium in defeat, the instructor just laughed a little and announced that the one who came in last becomes the first to lose as expected, I donno why but I felt like he was humiliating Hitoshi and that really didn’t sit well with me. The instructor then announced that the next match up was second only to the last, the kingdom-less Elizabeth Queen and oh well, she would be going up against Olivia Roberts, he then announced that Miss Elizabeth had the power to create and manipulate crystals while Miss Olivia had the power to shoot out lasers from her hands and eyes. They got onto the podium and begun almost immediately, and I really have to admit, this was a much more interesting fight in comparison to Hitoshi and Michael’s. They begun and immediately, Olivia shot out lasers from her eyes and Elizabeth blocked them with some crystals, she them made some crystal spears and threw them straight at Olivia who destroyed them with laser beams coming straight from her eyes. They continued doing that until Olivia defended with her eyes and attacked with lasers from her hands, then, Elizabeth had to give up attacking and created a wall of crystals to protect herself. Then, Olivia seized the initiative and tried to attack from the left side but Elizabeth was ready for that, she had prepared two crystal spears and once Olivia appeared, she threw both spears at her, one was aimed at her head and one was sent to her stomach region, she blew up the first one but she had to bend over to dodge the second one and as she bent over, she tripped herself, fell down and landed on her back, thereby ending the fight. Hooray, bellowed the instructor, he continued by saying and oh yes, the losers have finally won a battle and who else but the kingdom-less Queen, who else but the kingdom-less Queen would act like royalty and actually win a BATTLE……………………….
