We all headed to our respective homes but Annabelle and Justin were much more interested in going to the cinema, I agreed I would go with them but oh well, I had to respond to a robbery a state away, I flew over there immediately and thankfully, they immediately dropped their weapons and turned themselves in. You would probably think I flew back to join Annabelle and Justin right? Oh well, you would be very wrong, I flew home, to be honest, I was really broke, I had no money, doubt I could even pay for the cinema tickets without having to transport myself to and fro of school for a day, I had no problems with that but I would tire myself out if I ran or flew that distance twice in a day, just imagine I face a villain after that I would be immensely f****d. The state had in all honesty really helped me, I won’t have to pay for electricity and water, also, my schooling and Invincible University was a state sponsored scholarship, that was good but oh well, I was still hella broke and I was starting to run out of necessities. I flew back home and damn, it came back again, that feeling, that loneliness and emptiness. It had been sometime since my mom died and with all she had done to me, I wish she was still here, I feel so empty and lonely whenever I stepped inside what used to be my family’s happy home, now I was the only survivor of that happy home. I still could not forgive Mr Hitoshi for what he had done to my family, I wish he could be revived everyday so I could subject to the most painful tortures ever and honestly, even that would not be enough to fill up the empty hole he left in my heart. I had to just learn to live and bear with this pain because you only truly lose what you throw away, whatever you lose, you can always get back, I could always make my own family in the future and make it a better one while still filling up my heart with love for them, I could not afford to give up after all, people’s life do not end when they die, it ends when they lose hope in life. I also have to look at things openly, I need to stop feeling sad for myself over what had happened, I had tried to hold this pain but sometimes not holding back against villains but it literally made me feel no better. I guess its safe to say that when you can’t find the solution to a problem, it probably isn’t a problem to be solved, but rather a truth to be accepted. I made dinner, had a wonderful night of rest and soon enough, it was time for my second day at Invincible University. I got dressed and had a breakfast made up of crackers and a chocolate drink I made from chocolate powder, sugar and water. I had absolutely no reason to eat but it helped me waste time, that way, I wouldn’t want to show up in school too early and while I could waste time talking to Annabelle, I was really not in the mood for conversations. I got to school soon enough, and Mr Rakitic begun teaching, everyone was around and they had all maintained their seats, trouble struck in the third period, we heard the emergency bell ring and an announcement was made on the speakers. This time, it wasn’t the principal, it was someone I knew all too well, it was Raydeane, he announced that the Dark Phoenix had infiltrated Invincible University and that their main goal was to capture the Dark Knight, he mentioned that the Dark Knight would be a great addition to the Dark Phoenix just like the first word in our respective names symbolises our compatibility, he mentioned that they would surely capture me and that anyone who gets in their way would meet a very painful end. I was about to suit up and kill every member of the Dark Phoenix including Raydeane, I was sincerely going to kill him in order to avenge my mom, Mr Rakitic had other plans though, he said he was going to take me underground and get me out of the school using the school’s secrets tunnels. He then told Justin to suit up and lead the entire class to fight the Dark Phoenix, the main goals were to protect each other, other students of the school, immobilize members of the dark phoenix, and keep them from the secret tunnels. Justin suited up in front of us and in seconds, unlike me, it was a proper superhero costume, it was white and gold and trust me, while it fitted his perfect body properly, the suit alone was in itself just amazingly beautiful, it was the nicest looking superhero suit I had ever seen in my life. I and Mr Rakitic went towards the tunnels and the class left immediately, it was time for the final showdown. We were about to open the shutter to the tunnel when Raydeane spoke into the speakers again, he just spoke this into the speakers, “Hero of Souchester, could you please come out, it’s not like I have all day to kill you, actually, I do, but I have better and more important things to do. Oh, you know what, don’t come out, it’s okay, I understand, since you have a problem with your v****a which you have in lieu of a p***s, you can run off and act helpless, it’s not like you’re new to it, you could just let me kill all your friends, just like I killed your mom, you useless pathetic piece of s**t”. I had literally had enough of his bullshit, I ran at super speed and headed back, I was still contemplating where to go when I bumped straight into Raydeane, my first instinct was to kill him. I grabbed him and just then, the power I had gotten sometime ago kicked in and I peered deep into his soul, the first thing I saw was a pond, a pond with white water, I could see Raydeane in the pond and oh, when I say white water, I meant white and not transparent. He was much younger this time and the water was just at his feet, he started to grow older, scars began to form on his body, the water started growing darker and darker till it was pitch black and then, it started swallowing his body till it was around his neck, then, for whatever reason, I peered into his memories and trust me, his memories were simply horrific. The memory started on a normal peaceful night, his entire family was having dinner, Genghis was there looking happy, I also saw Raydeane’s mom and what I thought was his brother. The evening was going just fine until Magnetficent brought out their door and for no reason, instantly killed Raydeane’s brother, Mrs Kandhar immediately stood up to shield Raydeane and an iron rod went through her skull, killing her instantly, Genghis used his fire powers but Magnetficent only had to hit him in the head with a block of metal using his magnetic powers and Genghis was down cold on the floor, Raydeane grabbed on to his mother’s body and kept trying to wake up her dead body, he cried on as Magnetficent ransacked the house. Soon enough, Magnetficent received a call that gave him the information that he had gotten to the wrong house, simultaneously, Raydeane realized that his mom would not be getting up anytime soon, he tried to attack Magnetficent but he was gonna have none of it, Magnetficent struck is face with a rusty blade, disfiguring his face, damaging his soul and creating a villain. Genghis Kandhar quit his job as a blacksmith and started to train his son to become a thief, duritng this time Raydeane would get a lot of scars from his training and his father’s beating, soon enough, they had robbed enough people and had now amassed enough money and power, Genghis joined the Dark Phoenix and soon enough, he led a coup that made him the new leader of the Dark Phoenix. Raydeane loved his father to death but he also hated some of his actions, he wished his father had not given him gruelling training and brought him into a world of crime, he wished that he could have had a normal childhood like most kids. He also hated the fact that his dad was indifferent on who he attacked, he believed that only bad people like Magnetficent deserved to be harmed. He then totally lost it when his dad died, he hated me beyond anything for taking his father from me and then, I went out of his memories and back into the pond, and now, the water was grey, I am guessing that symbolises uncertainty, he had a very dark past and he was unsure of his ways, Raydeane Kandhar was no villain, he was just a broken hero. He was a poor boy shown the harsh realities of life by a respected hero who acted purely like a villain on that day. I don’t know why but I just begun to shed tears. My power soon deactivated and the next thing I saw was Justin holding Raydeane down and both of us shedding tears. Raydeane then apologized for coming after me and told me he had no idea I was so emotionally damaged and that I had gone through so much in life, he apologized for blaming me for killing his dad and told me that the fact that I did not let my pain turn him evil had now inspired him and that like me, he however noted that he would first face whatever sentence the law had for him and I promised I would be there to speak kindly for him. I guess that I had not only seen his memories, he had seen mine too and then, he confirmed it and told me, oh and uhm, the pond, it was white. I wondered what he meant but I sure as hell thought he meant mine. The cops came soon enough and arrested Raydeane and all the other members of the Dark Phoenix that had attacked the school, neither side faced any casualties as Justin had knocked out every member of the Dark Phoenix before they could do much damage, the Dark Phoenix had come to an abrupt end and the hero of the day was the speed hero, Light-Speed or as I call him, my good friend, JUSTIN…………………………….
