I ran for miles. I didn't stop until my blurry vision forced me to. Tears were streaming down my face by now and I tugged at my hair. Why did this have to happen? The one time I felt happy again, it had to be too good to be true. I clenched my teeth as I made my way to the nearest phone booth. I luckily had a few extra change in my pocket so I quickly made a call. It rang a few times before going over to voicemail. I breathed out a sigh of relief. I really didn't want to do this. "Hey Aunt Bridget! So... um, I don't think I'll be coming home any time soon. Maybe not ever, but hey let's try to keep it on the positive side!" I chuckled half-heartedly. I sighed deeply. "I'm sorry this had to happen Aunt Bridget. I never meant for it to actually happen. I' sorry I had to disappoint you in this way. Just remember that I love you okay?" Suddenly the phone made a beep noise, indicating that my time was up. I quickly hung up the phone, wiping the stray tear that had decided to fall down my cheek. I made my way towards the nearest motel and rented out a room for the night. In the morning, I'd get on the quickest bus that led out of town. I closed the door behind me, locking it before climbing into bed. Exhaustion instantly fell upon me and before I knew it, I was fast asleep, but not before a few tears stained the pillow.

I suddenly shot up in my bed, sweat covering my forehead as my heart beat fast. A loud banging sound came from the door. Whoever it was on the other side, they seemed impatient. I quietly snuck towards the door, peeping through the little peephole in the door. I quickly shut it again, leaning against the door, my heart beating even faster as my breathing became rapid. Max was standing on the other side of the door, not looking to happy. "s**t, s**t, s**t!" I hissed as I pulled at my messy hair. I quickly rushed towards the window, trying to find a quick exit, but when I pulled open the curtains, I found that a large wall was blocking my way.
"What kind of motel room is this?!"
"Sophia! I know you're in there! Open this door right now!" I growled as I heard his loud voice. How dare he tell me what to do after betraying me like he did! "Go away Max! I want nothing to do with you." I heard him groan in frustration. "Sophia, if you don't open this door now, I will do it myself." I scoffed before falling face first onto the bed. Yeah right. What's he gonna do? Kick down the door?. I pulled the pillow over my head, trying to ignore the world. "Fine, you've left me no other choice." Suddenly I heard a loud bang noise and when I shot up, I stared at Max in shock. He had kicked open the door. He had literally kicked open the door, causing it to make a large whole in the wall. Universe, I only meant it figuratively! Not literally! "Why the hell did you do that?!" He shrugged his shoulders at me, acting innocent. "You didn't want to open the door and to be fair, I did warn you." I stared at him in disbelief before pointing at the wall.
"You're paying for that."
"Fine by me."
I rolled my eyes at his arrogance before falling back onto the bed, using the pillow as my shield. I tried to will him with my mind to go away, but of course I didn't have such power, so he just ended up sitting at the edge, placing his hand on the back of my thigh. I moved away from his grasp, but he just did it again and this time when I moved away, I fell face first onto the floor. Max started laughing his ass off at my failure. I peeked over the edge of the bed, glaring up at him before throwing him with a pillow at the back of his head. Bull's eye. He held out his hand, still chuckling as he offered to help me up. Being my stubborn self, I used the bed as my support to help me up. "Okay Max, you were here, you saw that I was here, now you can leave and go back to your little vampire hunting crew."
A flicker of pain flashed in his eyes and my stomach turned, knowing I was the cause of his pain, but I didn't dare back down. He hurt you way more. He stepped forward and I took one back. "Sophia, just hear me out." I shook my head, holding my hands up. "No. I think I've heard enough from you yesterday." He reached forward. "Sophia..." I slapped his hand away, anger rising. "No! I told you to get out." Annoyance flickered over his features and the next thing I know he was pressing me against the wall, his hands gripping my sides forcibly as he pressed his body against mine. I tried pushing him away with all my might, but I knew I was weak around him. Suddenly his lips crashed onto mine, eagerness and hunger filling the kiss. A strange sense of deja vu filled my mind. My arms snaked around his neck as I finally gave in. I kissed him with so many emotions: anger, love, passion, betrayal. Everything seemed to float away as I tugged his hair, pulling him closer than he already was. He groaned into the kiss, biting my bottom lip. I moaned in pleasure, my body heating up. Max also seemed turned on as he picked me up, holding onto my thighs as I wrapped my legs around his waist.
He pressed further into me, deepening the kiss even more. Suddenly he pulled away, leaving me yearning for his lips on mine again. "Would you shut up now and let me explain?" His voice was hoarse and breathless and it only seemed to turn me on. I nodded my head, helpless in this exact moment. He now had me at his mercy.
