Chapter 25The decision to release Madame Henriette's body for burial has finally been made. After much coming and going between here and Perpignan there's no longer any reason to postpone it. The evidence points to her death being an accident and indeed, had it not been for the murder of Veronique leading us down a different path, the incident would be over. I've been asked to keep the file open, just in case the other investigation throws anything up, but in my opinion the deaths are unrelated.
