Chapter 15 The sun climbed higher and higher in the sky at noon. Now the new leaves were full on the trees. Flowers gave color to the forest floor. Birds had raised their young. Summer had begun. Robert walked out of the wigwam into the early morning light. The sun had not yet risen high enough to take the night chill from the air. He shivered. Red Horse came and stood behind him. He placed his arms around his waist and pulled him against his warm chest. “Come back to bed,” he whispered sleepily into Robert’s ear. “There is no need to rise so early. We do not hunt today.” He nuzzled his neck. Robert took a deep breath. He turned, smiling, and nodded his agreement with the brave’s plan.
