Nearly three weeks later... The royal family held a grand party for the arrival of Coal and Caine.
Marri dressed herself and Tabatha in a black dress with red sequences and the royal jewels she had never worn before. Mordecai and Colt dressed themself and the twins in their dark green royal suits with their white and black royal jewels. Colt hated wearing his crown but for this, he didn't want to fuss.
Entering the party an usher clapped for everyone's attention, Mordecai noticed Colt had uneasy for a while now.
As if he was nervous, but it was never an issue with him before.
"Introducing his and her highness’ accompanied by Sir Colt and her Grace Tabatha." The usher shouted as they entered, the room roared in cheer.
"My queen May I have this dance?" Colt asks bowing at Marri.
Her eyes widen as she accepted, swaying across the dancefloor.
Mordecai takes a moment to have a different type of dance.
This is with his kids, holding Coal and Caine in each wing and Tabatha standing on his feet.
They sway throughout the dancefloor everyone stops to watch, Marri smiles at Colt stopping to take a video and a few pictures.
After dancing and meeting everyone Marri and Mordecai had one more surprise.
"May I have everyone's attention" Mordecai shouts above the music while clapping his hands.
Marri and Tabatha stood in awe as ushers brought in beautiful crowns on pillows.
Colt and Melody stood holding Coal and Caine back into the room.
Taking Caine holding him up and using the blood mark of the Moon crest on his forehead then placing the crown he says
"I dub thee Master Prince Caine Creed." Mordecai kisses him and hands him back to Melody. Walking over to Coal holding him up, marking his with the blood of the Moon crest on his forehead them placing the crown on his head saying
"I dub thee Sire Prince Coal Creed." Mordecai kissed him then handed him back to Colt.
Everyone held up their glasses and shouted
"Long reign Master and Sire Creed." Tears of joy fell from Marri's eyes as she watched Mordecai hug her mom and talked with the guest.
She notice Colt acting a bit off as well, his normal red eyes seemed to be a purple color and while holding Coal he cried. It took a lot for her to keep her mouth shut, but he definitely was hiding something.
The rest of the night was filled with cheer and dancing, after the party, Marri fed and put kids to bed smiling when Mordecai's arms wrapped her like a warm blanket.
"I can't believe this is my life," Marri says to Mordecai as they climb into bed.
After six months of happiness and joys, Mordecai and King Nicho accept the offer of Tabatha leaving at sixteen. Kyle has been visiting Tabatha often Colt and Melody would distract Mordecai during his visits. Coal has learned to use his wings and Caine discovered his ears it's all really cute and funny.
Time has been flying by with joy and happiness, except for Colt who disappeared three days out of every month. He and Melody bump heads a lot Marri seems to have an idea of what could be the problem, but Mordecai told her not to worry about it.
Mordecai:
Hearing Colt call for me yet again, grunting as I know that Kyle is here to see Tabby and Marri. I don't know why Colt and Melody try to hide it.
"Sire let's go" Colt shouts as he blasted through my office, grabbing me.
"Plans brother, shooting range and heat-seeking practice." Colt smile bouning a fireball in his hand.
"Dude I know this is a ruse to keep me from seeing Kyle with my wife." I snapped, Colt didn't say anything else knowing I would dismiss the conversation.
I could use this time to squeeze information about why he's been leaving almost every night, or why he and Melody seem to want to kill each other.
We walked down the halls hearing laughter and chatter from the ballroom, I followed the sound not caring that Colt is walking in the opposite direction.
Finding what I expected Tabby on the floor playing with Kyle as Marri and Melody stood on-site talking.
I stood there for a minute until Marri asked everyone to exit the room. My blood was boiling seeing him here but for her to asks to be alone,
"Why would you ask everyone to leave?" I wanted to oversee everything between them.
"I need to talk to him privately" Marri whispered fidgeting with her fingers, looking him in the eyes, this intimate moment gutted me.
"Fine" grunted walking to the other side of the hall knowing she may want answers to what happened between them, it felt to me as if she still loved him.
Marri slapped him hard enough for the mark to show up instantly.
"You're a f*****g Angel and didn't bother to mention that the four years we were together," Marri shouted
"I didn't know how to tell you" Kyle whispered holding his cheek.
"Well let's see 'Marri I need you to know I'm an Angel' you jackass" Marri snapped throwing her hands in the air
"Would you still love me if I did? " Kyle asks pulling Marri in for a tight hug, Marri fought against him for a split second before agreeing to the hug.
"Why did you leave me?" Marri says hiding the tears.
"I was embarrassed, I didn't exactly have practice" Kyle whispered pulling her tighter leaning down for a kiss as their lips touch.
Sneaking and sly that Kyle would do this and the Demon Castle.
"Marri!" Colt snaps walking into the room, giving Kyle (keep your hands-off look)
“I want to see your true form," Marri says looking deep into Kyle's eyes.
"Sweetie I can't ..." Kyle was cut off by Marri
"I order you, Kyle." Marri snapped cutting Kyle off from finishing his sentence.
Kyle puts his hands up and backs away a bit taking off his jacket then shoes. Colt sees Marri biting her lip in excitement
"This isn't a strip show, hurry up and shift before Mordecai comes." Colt snapped as he closes the ballroom doors
Kyle didn't fully understand shifting he had only done it twice and the arousal he got doing it worried him.
Breathing in deeply staring into her eyes his eyes turned bright green, a yellow ring appeared around his head with another deep breath his wings formed small at first growing bigger until they were touching the ceiling with beautiful white feathers with a gold tint. With one last deep breath, his body had a glow to it making Marri shiver.
Colt had never witnessed an Angel shift before he stood completely speechless and not paying attention to Mordecai standing on the other side of the room. He had watched everything, Marri touched him almost intimately caressing his wings running her fingers through his hair making him pick her up.
As she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist as they were about to kiss Mordecai whipped his tail around Kyle's wings the pain instantly made him drop Marri.
Looking at Mordecai shockingly as fear took over she stood up to say something he swung his arm across her face making her fly across the room through a wall.
Kyle grabbed Mordecai knocking him to the floor throwing punches to his face, Colt rushed over grabbing Kyle's wings throwing him out the window.
"What did you do?" Colt shouts at Mordecai looking at Marri... Who currently was not moving.
"Did you not see that prick trying to f**k my wife?" Mordecai snapped standing up looking for Kyle ready to kill him.
Colt knew he had to stop him from seeing Kyle, Kyle did this on purpose and wanting to start a war.
As they were arguing Kyle used his powers to attack Mordecai, shooting him in the back with lighting. Colt jumped over to Kyle beating him as Jack and Melody rushed in to get Mordecai and Marri out of the crossfire.
Mordecai:
He hurt my family, I see him glowing as I'm hitting him a deep surge of energy flew through me.
He was draining my power, I needed to get out of here. Before I could move I felt a heavy pressure on my body making me fly into thin air I couldn't see anything but white lights then everything went black.
I woke up in the infirmary, my head was killing me and I had a bandage on my arm thinking back I remembered what happened.
I saw Colt standing in the doorway pinching the bridge of his nose in deep thought.
A minute later a nurse came in to check my vitals as she writes stuff down she asks if I want to go and see Marri.
"NO!" no matter how much my heart hurts, right now if I see her I'd kill her.
