Episode 6: The Glamour begins

"Maria, what did you do that for?" Mason asked with a curious look towards the Lady.

"I did it intentionally because I believe she's the lady you spoke to me about. I wanted her to feel jealous!" Maria explained as she continued smiling.

"So, how would making her jealous help me, in getting her?" Mason asked with a tone of discontentment.

"I'm a lady, and I know what we hate most. When she sees that there is another lady in the picture, if she cares about you, she will start showing it!" Maria said confidently, as she sits across Mason, and kept on smiling continuously.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Mason asked as he was inquisitive to know why Maria, is looking at him in such a manner.

"You know we've been friends for about five years, and I don't think, I have ever seen you care about a lady's feeling this much... Do you want her that badly?" Maria asked, to know Mason's intention.

"At first, I thought she was just a random girl, but she seems different. However, nothing is concrete, for now, I will just keep observing her!" Mason said as he tries to show that, he is not seriously into Khloe at the moment.

"Hey bestie, when will you ever show a guy to me? Or you are forbidden to get one for yourself?" Mason asked as he smiled at Maria.

"You know my story already, so I just want to fully focus on myself and my career for the time being," Maria answers, with a hint of sadness in her voice, as she remembers her past relationships, and how they ended up.

"Of course I do, but don't shut the door at any possible reasonable relationship. Don't let your past ruin any great guy's chance, okay?" Mason said to Maria, just to make her see reasons for trying out another relationship after the last one didn't work out well, about two years ago.

"Okay, I have heard you... I'm starving Mason!" Maria agreed with what Mason said, as they both walk out to the company's cafe, to grab something to eat.

After I got back home, I didn't meet anyone at home, and I was filled with anger and jealousy.

'Why would he kiss another lady, just in front of me after talking to me rudely? Did he do it intentionally or what?' I thought and asked myself inwardly, with an angry expression.

I know that I have always been stupid in choosing the right situation to get myself into when talking about relationships wise. Now, I must only focus on getting my ass to be successful and doing things right from now on.

I was in the room when I started hearing some voices. When I got out of the room to check what was going on, it was my friends that came in.

"Khloe, you are home already?" Annabell asked with a tone of excitement.

"Yes, I am home... The meeting didn't take much time." I said as I went to sit down on the couch.

"So, did you apologize to him?" Diana asked, with a serious look towards me.

"Don't even go there! I'm so angry right now that I followed your advice, which later made me look like a clown!" I sounded angry.

"What do you mean?" Diana asked as she sits beside Annabell.

"Mason is a jerk! You won't believe that, I went to his office after the meeting to apologize to him, but he made me look stupid! He acted unconcerned about my apology, and later asked me to leave his office that, he has some more important things to attend to!" I explained to them, as my anger continued to grow towards what Mason said to me, at his office.

"Sorry about that baby girl. Don't worry about any other thing, just focus on the main reason why you are there, and be successful!" Annabell said as she moved over to me, and the three of us hugged each other.

"I'm sorry for compelling you to apologize to him, and making you feel unhappy," Diana said sincerely, to calm me down.

"No, it wasn't your fault at all... Mason is just a jerk, that doesn't know how expensive my apologies are!" I said, and we all burst into laughter.

I woke up the following morning, feeling very hungry because I didn't eat anything to bed, last night. I went straight to the kitchen, to prepare some breakfast for me, and my girls.

After I'm almost done preparing some toasted bread and scrambled eggs, Annabell and Diana walked into the kitchen and were happy that breakfast is almost ready.

"Khloe, you are such a darling, exactly what my body needs this morning, is what you have prepared!" Diana said as she peeps to see what I have prepared. Immediately she sees it, she hugs me from behind.

"What can I help you with Khloe?" Annabell asked as she moved closer to where I was standing.

"Nothing much, I'm almost done... Just help me take these dishes to the dining table." I handed over some dishes to Annabell, and the three of us marched to the dining room, to have our breakfast.

After breakfast, I went into the bathroom to have my bath. Shortly after I came out, with water dripping down from my hair, my phone started ringing, and it was an unknown number.

"Good morning Miss Williams, I am Gabriel, Mr Mason's assistant from CMPC. I am to inform you that, your attention will be needed tomorrow at the company's media house. You are to do some photoshoots, and some interviews for your work, since the publishing will commence next week. And you also need to prepare for the launch, which would be coming up by this month's end!" Gabriel explained to me, from the other end of the phone.

"Okay, thanks... What time exactly am I to come over?" I asked, while also trying to hide my excitement.

"By 8 a.m tomorrow, please don't be late and do have a nice day!" Gabriel said politely, as he ended the call.

After the call ended, I threw myself on the bed in happiness...

"This is great news! My dreams are seriously coming to reality, and I'm so happy... Dad and Mom, this is for you both!" I said with joy, as my countenance suddenly changed to a sad one when I remember my parents and the scenario, surrounding their death.

I arrived at Crystal mind publishing company at about 7:50 am the next day. As I walked straight to the receptionist area, I met with Mr. Leonardo, who was looking very classic in his Italian suit, with his hair, styled to the left side of his head.

"Good morning sir" I was the first to greet him.

"Good morning Miss Williams, how are you doing today?" Mr. Leonardo asked, with an exciting expression.

"I'm doing very great sir. Am here for the photo shoot, but I don't know the actual way to the media house... Can you show me the way there sir?" I sound happy, as I asked Mr. Leonardo, to show me the way to the company's media house.

"Sure, just follow me this way!" Mr. Leonardo said as he leads the way, straight to the media house.

Immediately I and Mr Leonardo stepped into the media room, a lot of different lights were in there, with numerous workers focused on what they are doing.

Mr. Leonardo called out the chief media engineer, to come to take me for my photoshoot session and start working on every other thing.

I was taken to a private room, where I was being attended to. I was made to undergo some hairstyling and make-up sessions.

After they finished making me up, I couldn't recognize myself anymore. I was looking so extraordinarily beautiful, that I had never pictured myself, to be this fascinating.

When the time for the photo shoot came, I was given some gorgeous and expensive clothes, that matches my skin colour, and the makeup I was wearing.

The photoshoot was a success, and when I thought it was over for the day, the Chief of the engineering team informed me that, I will have some short interviews soon. But I can have a thirty minutes rest first, before then.

After I rested for like thirty minutes or so, I was asked to go change into a selected gown, that looks so classic and expensive. When I was about to put it on, Miss Michelle stepped in and asked them to change it to something else.

"That won't go well with her skin colour, and it doesn't speak of the elegance of our company!" Miss Michelle said as she walks towards the clothes hanger. She picked out a black strapped long gown, with stones like diamonds, shining all over it. She also selected a pair of silver high heel shoes, and a purse to go with the dress.

After I wore it, it was so nice on me that, my gorgeousness, caught the eyes of everyone in the media room. As soon as I walked to the podium, the interviewer started the interview.

"Hello Miss Williams, how do you feel working with CMPC? And your first work, to be published by the biggest publishing company in Italy?" The interviewer asked calmly with a smile.

"I'm so delighted to work with the best and biggest publishing company in Italy, and also, it's a dream come true!" I sounded confident and excited.

As the interview was still going on, Mason walks in and stood beside Mitchell, who was standing and watching from a little distance.

"She's so beautiful and cool!" Mason said calmly to himself while staring at Khloe.

But it came as a shock to Michelle, who has never heard Mason, speak about a lady in such a manner. Because, she has been playing her card, to get Mason to like her. Yet, all have come out not to her favour...
