Him

Chapter 16

Me and Maise had been talking for hours. I questioned why she was here. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, coming home from one of her friends houses. She was From Alpha John's pack and she had been locked up for 3 weeks. I knew once Josh came i'd help her get back home too. I tried to reassured her. We spent the next few hours chatting and getting to know each other.

Her birthday was in a few weeks and she's like to get home before then. She has a cat name spud. I thought it was cute. She has just started her first year of college. She was training to be a nurse. I told her i had been in college too. I wanted to be a midwife. Turned out we had a few things in common.

The walls around the cells where molding and dripping water every place you looked at. I could see a window in the far corner. I thought i just seen something pass the window but i wasn't to sure. I Kept trying to call out for Josh in my head but i hadn't had to no. Even called for Antony, I swear i heard him reply but then it went cold again.

We've been here for hours and there is still no sign of them. I wonder what's holding them up. Surely they be here by now. I looked at my watch and it was little after 4pm. I have been here since 11ish. I left they loads of clues where to find me. Maybe they were making a plan or something. I lay down on my back willing looking around the ceiling. I glanced over a few times to Maise to make sure she was ok too. Then i heard it, bolting up right on the torn mattress.

'Crash'

My head shot up towards the window. Both me and Masies were pushed right back against our cell walls. There was no were for us to go or to hide. Another crash came and another..

'Paige' I heard someone speak my head.

'Paige, They are coming for us' It was Amber she was getting excited.

'Are you sure Amber. How can you tell?'

'I can hear Blaze, He's coming'

How the heck can she sense him ,I couldn't feel him that close like she could. Then i hit me like a ton of bricks. His woody musky scent hit me. I could sense him too. 'Josh' I whispered in my head 'If you can hear me be careful' I gulped hoping he heard me. I had no idea how good our pack was at fighting. I've only see them train. I've done my own training, so i know how to defend myself and attack if i need to but i've never sat long enough to watch the fighters in motion. Josh didn't reply but i'm sure he heard me unless he blocked me out. If he had i can only image it was to focus on his kills rather than making sure i'm safe. Seeing as i link'd him first and he never bothered to link me. Maybe his wolf was in charge i had no idea.

"Masies they are nearly here" I whispered so she could only just hear me. I knew if one of the guys were standing out front he'd probably be listening in if we were talking. I could hear someone moving on their feet every so often and i didn't wanna give them the upper hand.

"Really?" A smiled brighten up her face then quickly appeared on mines too seeing hers. We were lucky they hadn't done much worse to us than just knocking us out. But either way they have kidnapped a Alpha's mate which is one of the worse things you can do. He is more likely to be killed last than the other two. Since they were the ones who knocked me out. I'm not sure how Josh will handle this, what his plan of strategy would be.  Me and Amber are really missing him even if it's only been a few hours. The curves of his jaw. His messy hair. His fit well tone body. I rolled my eyes at myself. Getting slightly turned on at the thought he was coming to rescue us. Sad part is it's only been half a day and i was missing him like crazy.

'Crash'

Something has started outside. I heards loads of noises. Some sort of commotion going on and i can't do anything. I'm stuck here in a rotten cell with a scrubby top on. Barely even covering my butt. I don't fancy everyone see my bottom anytime soon. Suddenly the cell front door swings open and i see Eric running down the stairs. He quickly unlocks my cell. I stand as far as i could master. He came at me pulling a knife out his pocket. Pointing it in my direction.

"How to f**k did he find you so quick" He threatened. I didn't answer. To that he lunged me and i tried my best to defend myself but he was much stronger. He twisted one of my hands around my back while holding the knife close to my neck. "How did he track you down so fast?" He asked again pushing the blade into my skin a bit more. Not breaking the skin but i could feel the cold metal grazing it.

"We have good trackers in the pack" i breath through clenched teeth. Just then the cell doors flew open bouncing back a little bit. My eyes widen as i seen some fighters coming down the stairs. But no Josh. Where the f**k was he I questioned out loud in my head.

'He's here' Amber muttered back at me .

I looked at all the fighters faces and not one of them was Josh's. Then they all stepped aside outside my cell. Down walks Josh and my brother following behind then Jack and Caleb. His eyes were pure black, it's not Josh in charge it's Blake. I tried to give a smile when i seen but it was to hard. The knife was pushed into myskin a bit more. Eric had pushed it a bit to far and i felt a drip run down my neck. He had my head pulled back to show my neck off to Josh and the others. Josh snarled at Eric baring his teeth at him. I had to act quick. To help if i could. 

"Let her go" Josh sleeth out. He came forward closer into the cell. I phased out slightly not listening to them as i was trying to rack my head about getting out of this grip. I knew he'd either drop the knife or he'd cut my throat a bit more. I didn't care i had to free myself. I glanced at Josh who made a quick eye contact with me. Like reading my mind he nodded. Who am i kidding of course he is reading my mind. We're fully mate he feels what i feel.

 I used my free hand to grab the Eric by the balls making him whence at the pain. I pushed his arm outwards away from me a little bit a tucked under his arm. Doing a swirl remover then Josh dashed forward lunging right for Eric before he registered what happened. I pushed myself out the way and noticed Eric dropped the keys for the cells. I quickly grab them and got out the cell, heading over to Masies i got it unlock throwing the gate back wrapping  her in my arms. We kneeled down into a ball, not looking over to the other cell of my 'mate' and the sick bastard.

'Crack'

The sound of deathly silence took over. Someone neck was now broken and i didn't dare move. I knew there was no way it was Josh. Erc was strong but not that strong. Suddenly i'm pulled of Masie and into big strong arms the sparks started to engulfed me along with his scent. turning in his arms i buried my face into his neck inhaling him.

"Josh this is Masie" I say pulling back to look at him then to her. "She from alpha John's pack. I promis..." Josh cut me off and called out to a fighter. "Ben go help her out" He rushed over into the cell and help Masie up but she could barely walk. So he lifted her in bridal style following us out the cells.

The brightest of the sky made me scrunch my eyes up to adjust. It looked a bit like warzone up here. The was more than just the 3 of them. There must have been around 20 to 30 men laying dead on the floor.

"Ant deal with them mess" Josh called out and i seen Antony taking off with a few men to pile the bodies up, no doubt going to burn them all at once.
