Chapter 18

The party is this saturday. We have everything planned out. Just got to set up some last minute bits. I had returned back to college last week as i want to get my degree. Lucy has just caught up with me after my last class. So we decided to go grab a coffee then head home to finish setting up. Lucy was super excited and hoped to find her mate this year. I kept my fingers crossed for her to as well as Antony. They both deserved to find their mate.

"So what do you think he may look like" Lucy hummed sipping her coffee.

"Oh i dunno, What would you like him to look like?" I ask for her thoughts.

"Dark hair piercing green eyes, Tall and muscular. No, Sky blue eyes. Oh i dunno" She sighed out. "As Long as he likes me i don't care what he looks like" I sighed.

I hope their meeting will be better than mines. I can't redo it or take it back. But Josh is definitely trying a lot harder. He was waiting for us in the carpark. He drops me off and picks me. He become i lot more protective. Since i was taken. Follows me around the house even if i want to just go down the games room. I'd sit in the office with him as he did his alpha thing.

It was always boring it didn't insteresed me much. That was his job though. Lucky there was a puffy by the windows were i could look outside watching the world go round. Abby was finally let back out of her cell and a good beating from Josh. When she was let out she was black and blue. He got Ben and another guy to take her to the infirmary to be check out. She got out two days ago and has kept away from me since.

Me and Lucy both slipped into Josh's car and buckle up. He gives me a quick kiss and starts the car backing it out the space and heads home.

"Hows was class today?" He asks this every day since last week too. He has been very interested in how i'm getting on. I swear he comes into some of the classes to make sure i'm ok then sneaks out before class finishes and i don't see him. I get a wift of his scent as i leave class. So i know he has been there. It calming and reassuring but annoying too. I had questioned him on it and swears he was never there but i know he was. I leave it alone, if that makes him feel better than i'm not gonna question him. Plus he could easily just read my thoughts too.

"It was good, next week we get to go into the hospital as trainee's" I wanted to be a midwife from when i was a kid. i loved babies. Some day hoped to have my own too.

Josh's eyes screwed up "So you'll get to see the baby head coming out?"

"Might not be there head" I say laughing at him. "Is your face gonna be like this when it's our? I look at him waiting for his answer. he takes a few moments before replying "When it's ours of course not. I'd have my face up by yours egging you on"

"What?"  looking at him with a huge grin on his face. Winding me up i slap his leg.

"Will you two go get a room" Lucy shouts from the back seat as we pull up into the pack garage.

"We have a room" Giving him kiss on the lips. He deepens it a little causing Lucy to roll her eyes and jump out the car. I had to laugh as she has this all the come when she finds her mate.

I take of my seat belt and get out to. Josh tries to beat me to it but i close the door before he gets there. He takes my hand as we end inside.

I headed up stairs to shower and change then meet Lucy back down stairs in the kitchen. Of course Josh in toe. "Ready" i call to Lucy.

"Yup let's go" We have been working on this for the last few days and we are nearly done. We head outside and walk about 10 minutes to the open field were the gathering will happen. We put up the last of the lights, check and made sure all the tables were set up. We had a huge pivlon tent incase it started to rain. We will have flowers delivered the morning of. The mated pack members will help waitering. We have the best cooks cooking a delicious buffet. We wanted to pull out all the stops for this one day.

Standing back and taking a good look at what we have all achieved. I feel Josh sneak up behind me placing his arms around my stomach resting his hands crossed . "What amazing job you have done" I lean back into him resting my head on his shoulder.

"No, we have all done a good job" I correct him taking everything in.

Lucy and Ant were just putting the last few vases onto the tables and came over laughing about something. I couldn't here what but there was happy. "looks good doesn't it" Lucy says coming to stand next to me.

"Sure does, all ready for this weekend" I was looking forward to it as much as they did. It wasn't my thing before but as i'm Luna of this pack i feel i should be making a effort to. I'll do Josh and everyone else proud even those who hated me.

We stood there staring at what we had all achieved together. I was proud to be apart of this. To have been asked to help out with this years mating party. I hope everyone who came would find their soulmate and never be lonely again. I truly hoped that my best friend and brother found their one and only like i have. Who has now finally accepted me. It may have took him a while, Ok to long for my liking but we are finally there. I smile as i lean more into Josh.
