Chapter 19

Saturday morning soon swinged around. This passed week has flown in. Me and Lucy had gone dress shopping yesterday after school. I helped her pick out a killer outfit. I went for something more simple. I didn't need to dress to impressed but wanted to make a good impression.

"Paige come on get up..today's the day" Lucy came running into mines and Josh's run. Dragging me out of bed while Josh just looked up still half asleep then rolled right back over. I rolled my eyes at him as i follow Lucy down stairs. We had some breakfast before our guest started to arrive for the celebrations. We were starting of the morning with a lunch buffet for our guests to mingle around. If they find their mate they'd get to spend some time with them before tonight where we had planned a party to celebrate all the newly mated couples.

I grabbed some pancakes and chopped a banana over the top with some syrup. Licking my lips before tucked in. I brought a piece up to my lips and it was gone before i good enjoy it. I glance up to see who stole my piece of heaven. "That was mines" I growl at Josh. "What's yours in mines babe" He grinned his pearly whites back at me. I shook my head and went in for another bite.

Lucy on the other hand was shoving it all in at once and not taking time to chew her food. "lucy calm down you have plenty time to get ready". I sighed getting up to get her some water. "No i don't, If i find my mate today i won't eat much later" She says half spitting out the food as she spoke.

"Right well at least chew your food you aint a animal" I say sipping my on a glass of water. Before i get to finish my food Lucy is pulling me back up the stairs to her room to get ready. Josh has nick the rest of my pancakes. I shook my head while being dragged out.

"What do you think of this for lunch?" Lucy pulled out another outfit hanging the top above the trousers. I roll my eyes at her. "Lucy they are both fine".

"I don't want fine Paige, I want wow hot mama" She says huffing while looking through her closet again. "Ok" I jump of the bed and walk over to the closet. I grabbed a nice of the shoulder top it was nude pink shade and i grabbed her some leather looking leggings and some black heels."Go stick these on" I say watching her head into her bathroom. Once she was dressed she came back out and my eyes dropped, mouth fell open "Wow now you look hot..Hair time" I grabbed the curler and Lucy sits down in front of me.

Once i'm finished i leave her to do her own makeup while i go get ready. I head to my room and walk into the closer. I pull out a loose chiffon blouse with little flowers over it. It's slightly cropped so it shows of my belly button. Then i grabbed some skinny jeans and my converses. I do a half up half down hair do, with loose curls then proceed to apply a little makeup myself. I prefer my eyes to stand out with a little pop. Josh walk out the shower room. I had no idea he was even in there. He walks over to the closet as i watch him in the mirror. He picks out a dark grey shirt, underwear and loose jeans. He grabs his black timberland stateberg field boots. Making him pull of this sexy as look. I was eye stripping him in the mirror. My face started to heat up quickly looking away trying to calm myself down. Now is not the time I tell myself.

"Maybe later" He says winking at me, He takes my hand as i get up from finishing my makeup. He gives me a short kiss on the lips "Come on, time to meet our guests" I nod and we both head out the room. As we walked down the hall i quickly peeked into Lucy's room but she was no longer there. I shrugged closing her door. "She's probably already out there" Josh says pulling me with him. "Yeah she is super excited isn't she" Smiling at the thought.

As we step outside and walk the short distance i could see the place was crowded. It would make it impossible to move around. I swallowed hard and glanced to Josh. He gave me a smile and nodded towards the stage. Walking up the few steps I stood by Josh's side as he cleared his throat. I was nervous. I'm not as confident as him to speak publicly. I'm more reserved. 

"I'd like to welcome you all here today to Shadow Crest pack. It's our honor to hold this year mating ceremony. We'd like to think everyone would find their mates this year, but if not don't worry there is always next year" I suck a deep breath in. Some wolves aren't lucky to find their mates and that grips my heart for those wolves. But i always kept the hope they will find the soul mates too.

"Without a further ado we like to wish everyone to have a good time" Josh lead me off the stage and into the crown.

We start to mingle and meet other alpha's and luna's. I spotted alpha John and his wife. I said to Josh i was going to say hi to them. He was ok with it but told me not to go far. He was still on edge after my mini kidnap. Yes i know i said mini as it was only just over lunch to about dinner time. I had to laugh and the rubbish attempt.

"Hi alpha John" I say as i step closer. He offers me his hand. "How are you Paige?" I only seen him when i ran away and when we found masie. He came by the day after she got out of the infirmary to take her home. "I'm great thank you" I go in to hug his wife after "Good to see you again Emily"

"And you too Paige" I stay to talk to them a bit longer asking how Maise was doing. Alpha John told me she is doing much better and is asking after me. I said i'll try get over to see her soon. I spotted Lucy through the crowd looking around everyone. I said goodbye to Alpha John and Luna Emily then heading over to Lucy.

"Hey Lucy, why are you hiding over here?"

"Trying to get a better view of everyone" She starts to stand on top of a table glancing over everyone. I copy her but all i could see was bopping heads.

"No luck finding your mate yet?" I ask just as Lucy starts to sniff the air. I had to grab the back of the top as she nearly steps right of the table. "Lucy are you ok?" She was complete dumb founded. I helped her down and watched her follow her nose. I followed after to see where she was going keeping my distance back.

Lucy comes to a stop in front of this tall chunky looking guy, a dark brown hair guy. His hair was pretty shaggy looking. He had bright blue eyes and stood a foot taller than Lucy. As i stepped closer i could just make out what he said to her 'MATE'. I smiled as i watch them both disappear for some privacy. I turned around to watch everyone else mingle. I had that pang feeling in my chest remembering how me a Josh realised we were mates. It's the second time i have the memory in the last few weeks. I frown looking down then glance up to see Antony with the blonde skinny girl. She has green eyes and her hair was pretty longer and wavy. I could so picture him with a good looking girl. I leaned against a tree as i watch them disappear off into the trees. Soon the crowd got smaller. Few wolves met their mates today and others made friends.

I hadn't notice Josh come and stand behind me until he started to lean on my shoulders. "What are you smiling at?" He asks as i lean back into him.

"Lucy and Ant have found their mate"
