Chapter 20

"Are you ok Paige?" Josh ask's looking over my shoulder to my face. I bite my lip before replying.

 "Some of them will have good stories to tell on how they met they mate and.." I let my words trail of a bit "Others will have the same story as us" I say as he turns me to face him. Placing both his hands on either side of my face. He wears a sad look as if remembering that day like i have been for the last few days.

"I hope that no one ever goes through what i've put you through. I can't take it back and it kills me. But i will spend the rest of my life making it up to you every way possible" Josh brings his lips down to meet mines as i smile into it. "I know you will. But the memory is still buried there in the back of my head" I say pulling myself closer into his chest.

"We'll make new memories" I knew he was trying to ease my mind. I have to let go of this bad ones to make room for new ones.

The night sky start to fall bringing the cooler air in with it. We had set of a bomb fire up that Josh just set light too. The Dj starting playing tunes. I had changed into my new dress i bought for the party. Deep purple shade. It was shimmery, hugging my curvy in the right places. I hadn't seen Lucy for a while nor my brother. As me and Josh started to walk around greeting people. I spotted Lucy by one of the buffet tables. We started making our way over to them. 

"Hey Lucy" I place my arm on her shoulder and eyed her mate with a nod.  I noticed that Lucy had changed into her new dress too looking even hotter.

"Oh Paige" She span around giving me a hug. "This is Liam" She states beaming away.

"Nice to meet you" I took his hand giving it a shake. Josh copied suit. "Are you enjoying the party?"

"Most definitely am now" He grins pulling Lucy closer to him. "Remember we are only a few rooms down" I say winking at her. She hit my arm playful while giggling back into Liam's chest. You could see how happy she was, was nice to see.

"Hey guys" I felt a hand on my back as i turn to see Antony and his own mate.

"Hey" Me and Josh both greeted them at the same time.

"Hey" Lucy and Liam say behind us. We move back a little into our own little circle.

"This is my mate Summer" Antony motion to the blonde girl clinging tightly to his side.

"Hi Summer, it's nice to meet you" I stick my hand out to welcome her, the others follow suit.

"Hey" She replies with a little smile.

"It's nice to finally see my brother and Lucy finally both happy" I announced smiling at both of them. Josh pulls me back into his chest half swaying to the music playing in the background.

"So Liam will you be join our pack or will you be taking Lucy back with you" Josh asks as i frown at the question. I can't lose my best friend. We grew up together, she's had my back through everything. I glance over frowning waiting for their reply.

"To be honest we haven't actually discussed it yet" Liam looks to Lucy before looking at us.

"You have to move here" Lucy demands. Like she read my mind. I remember us saying if we ever found our mates they'd have to move to our pack as we couldn't part from one another i think we'd be lost without each other being around. Like when i left here, leaving Josh as i couldn't stay here no longer. I should have taken her with me. Maybe it would have taken Josh longer to find me and get me back. Although i'm not grateful for how it panned out.

"If that's what you want then i'll move here..Proving Josh is ok with that?" He looks to Josh for an answer. It takes Josh a while to answer so i nudge him with my elbow.

"Ouch... I guess i don't have a choice" He laughs into my neck. Correct answer i thought. I'm gonna have him under the thumb for ages to make it up to me i grinned inwardly to myself.

We had to excuse ourselves to go make another quick speech before everyone could finally enjoy the rest of the night.

"Hush, hush" Josh us both hands in the air trying to quieten everyone to talk.

"Alright, I'll make this quick as i can see loads of you are very impatiently waiting to enjoy the rest of your night." He winks over to Lucy and Antony. I started laughing as i catch their faces. 

Josh motions me to come front to stand with him. He places his left arm around my shoulders. Smiling down at me. "Not sure if i've said this already" He looks from me back into the crowd "But unlike most of you tonight finding your mate tonight. Make sure you always treasure them from the start" He looks back at me "When i first discover Paige was my mate i pushed her away..I didn't want a mate after what happened to my mum I never wanted to go through what my dad had" He looks out over the crowd to his dad and we both lock eyes on him. "I've learnt my lesson the hard way. I'll be every making it up to her" I tilt my head up towards him and give my forehead a gently kiss. I close my eyes at his touch. Josh steps back slightly pulling something out the back of pocket then kneels down on one knee.

My hands go straight to my face in shock. Wow i was not expecting this, not this early anyways. I start to shake. I was giddy as well as nervous.

"Paige will...will you do me the honor of being my wife and i'll promise never to put your through hell again"

I stared at the ring box as he opened it in front of me. Silver band with a rose gold stone. It looked so precious. He knew i loved the colour rose gold as well as my other favourite colour deep purple. I pretended to think about it before giving him a answer. I glanced out to my brother and Lucy smiling. They both were nodding their heads telling me to say 'yes'. I look back to Josh to give him my answer.

"Yes"
