Chapter 14

Josh's POV

4 day earlier

The last few days have been worse than hell. I missed my mate, I've just got her back and i've had to leave her to go fight the dam rogues. They were coming into my terrority for some reason and i had to find out why. Why were the risking the own lives knowing fine well they will die here before even getting close enough to the pack house. If that's where they were aiming for.

I was beginning to stink. Cover head to toe in blood. I couldn't wait to get home to see my mate. To get a shower and get this s**t of me. Me, Antony and the other fighters were dying to get home and to get a decent meal.

Soon as the pack house came into view i could see her. She was beautiful. Why oh why has it taken me so long to actually see her this way. I hate myself every day for pushing her away. For hurting her the way i did and seeing my pack member following my lead bully her too. It's my fault she hasn't fully opened up with me. But she is starting too and i hope she continues to let me in.

I half ran to her, to have her in my arms to kiss her. To have her scent surround me, intoxicating me. Lavender and cinnamon. When we stepped back a little i realized i cover her in the blood i was drenched in. I picked her up and ran up both up stairs quick as i could. Turned the shower on and stripped us both. Taking her in for a shower with me.

I never expected us to get it on in there though. But we did i turned the shower off walked us outside back into the bedroom room. I pulled back to make sure she really wanted to do this. I wasn't gonna push her into it i'd wait until she was ready. I'd never push her into anything. But she nodded giving her consent so i took that as my que. I aimed myself up to enter her, i glanced up to check one last time then pushed to enter her. She let out a moaned of pleasure. I knew this was her first time. She was nice and tight as i enter. Sudden wash of quilt fell over me but i pushed it back so she wouldn't see it.

 The feeling of her around me. Got me going faster, thrust after thrust she was getting close and so was i. Blake was pushing to take over, i was struggling to keep him back. Just was we were about to climax together he took fully over and mark her as ours.

'Damit Blake'

'Mate, must mark mate'

He muttered in my head. If he was jeopardised this i'll be piss with him myself.

I licked the mark cleaning up the blood. Hearing her moan with pleasure.

I looked at her with a apologetic look "It's ok" She says panting "I wanted do".

I was pretty surprised as we were just getting on track after me f*****g up before. But i was so happy at the same time. She wanted me as much as i wanted her too. She was mines and i was hers.

We had gone down stairs for a drink of water, Lucy and Antony both started to tease Paige as they realised we complete our mating bond. I made a note to get my own back when it's their turn.

After all the mating party wasn't that far off. Later we headed back upstairs to bed. I was exhausted pretty sure she was as well, I've not slept a wink since being away for her. In the morning i decided to plan a date night for me and Paige. We haven't exactly had one and now the rogue thing has been covered i thought i'd planned something nice for her. I had found a nice restaurant looking out over the lake. At night when it's lit up it looks magical and i knew she'd love it.

"Been ready for 4pm i'm taking you out tonight" I say as i come out my office and she is coming up the stairs.

"Oh yeah? Where we going?"

"It's a surprise you'll love it" I winked at her.

"Mmm ok, I'll go grab a shower now" Giving me a quick kiss then disappearing up the stairs.

Paige's POV

'I've got a date tonight. I've got a date to night" i sing coming out the shower room.

"Someone sounds happy" Lucy came up sticking her head around the door. Glad i had a towel around me i'd have walked about naked otherwise.

"I am, I have a date tonight. Wanna help me find something nice to wear?"

Lucy came in and closed the door behind her "Sure, let's see what we have" She walks over to the walk in closet.

Pulling out a few dresses she hangs them up on the door. "mm I think you should try them on and i'll help pick". Grabbing one of the dresses and taking it into the bathroom to change into. Few minutes later i come back out.

"Nope definitely not this one" It was white skater style dress. It came to my knees, curving my figure. I agreed with her it wasn't the dress for tonight. I'd probably drop food down my self staining it. I tried on another and another. Finally found the right dress. As i came out Lucy mouth hung open.

"This is the one" She beamed. I was a deep red bodycon dress. It was loose fitting with triangles slits cut out on my hips.

I checked myself out in the mirror. "He'd probably jump me as i walk down the stairs" We both laughed together. She helped me with my hair and makeup, I picked out some blocked heels too. Before i knew it, it was time to go.

We exited the bedroom. Lucy walked in front of me blocking Josh's view on me until reach the last step. His face was priceless. His eyes roamed my full body and his eyes flicker from amber to black. Blake must like it too. Josh walked over and took my hand in his arm and walked us out to his car. Opening the door i shimmied in pulling the hem of my dress down to sit on.

I waved goodbye to Lucy who was in awe smiling away at me. Bless her i hope she finds her mate soon too. But not the same kind of start me and Josh had.

It was a short drive to the restaurant. The sky was starting to get dark and the lights lit up making this place look like something out of a fairy tale. Josh opened my door and i got out. We went in side and got seated near the window looking out over the lake.

"This doesn't seem really" Eyes fixed out on the water smiling.

"It really doesn't. You look incredible" He says taking my hands in his leaning in giving me a quick kiss.

As we pulled away, we both picked up a menu..'mmm steak sounds nice' I hummed to myself.

"Ready to order? Josh asks peeking up from his menu.

"Yip"i nodded. He called over the waitress.

"Hi i'm your server tonight, are you ready to order" Josh motioned me to go first

"Hi yes i'd love the medium steak please"

"Would you like anything to drink?

"Yes a glass of water thanks" I look over to Josh to order his next.

"Would you like any desert" The waiter asks. Oh i didn't think to look at them. I shook my head i think i'll pass this time.

Josh order the same but a rare steak instead a glass of water too. We didn't have to wait to long for the waitress to return with our food and drink. The food was delicious, I looked at Josh as he ate his steak. I wanted to gag. I hate rare food it has to been cooked all the way through. I know most male wolves do like rare food to me it was disgusting.

After dinner we took a stroll along the lake. Josh offered me his jacket pulling it around my shoulders. It definitely was refreshing being alone with him. In the pack house it always noisey. Wolves coming and going hardly any privacy. We have walked in silence for about half a hour. Both staring into space. Although i felt someone was staring at both of us. When i tired looking to were i felt eyes staring there was nothing there.

"Are you ok?" Josh asks noticing my confused look.

"Mmm" I says still narrowing my eyes into the distance "Oh yeah i'm ok. I just thought...Nevermind"

"What is it?" He asked concerned.

"I just had this feeling someone is watching us" He looked to where i'm staring at and having moved my eyes from. "I'm sure it's nothing maybe a squirrel."

"Maybe" I didn't think it was but who knows.

"Come on let's head back it's getting late"

We headed back towards his car. Getting in once we had arrived. Josh cranked up the heater to help warm me up. He gave me hand a squeeze before reserving out of the car park. I still felt unsettled but Josh is right maybe it was nothing.
