Chapter 1

Sleeping in the classroom with her blonde hair scattered all over the table was Jade,being absolutely unbothered by Mr Perkins teaching.

“Miss Jade ”a voice spoke angrily

“Miss Jade!”it became more intense than the first.

“Miss Jade!!!”this time the person almost had smoke coming outside of his ears.

Jade finally woke up from her slumber, her eyes was gloomy from sleeping the moment her class started ,she arranged her scattered hair then pulled her blue hoody up.

“It’s nice to see Miss Jade has finally decided to join us” the professor who had been calling Jade said angrily as he examined her.

Jade just smiled and gave him an innocent look like nothing happened which irked the professor even more,this wasn't the first time people had given her that particular type of look,she found it familiar rather than irritating.

“Just because you a topper in this institution doesn’t mean you have to feel everyone is unimportant”

“I don’t feel that everyone his unimportant its really just you”she said while smiling innocently,which was very much like Jade.

The whole class erupted with laughter while Leah,Jade’s best friend gave her a thumbs up from her side.

“What do you mean by that Jade ” Mr Perkins probably felt like pulling her hair out.

“I’m sorry what did I say”she tucked her loose blonde hair inside the hoody still faking innocence.

She didn’t like Mr Perkins because he was not only egotistical he was also a sexist and racist, which annoyed the s**t out of Jade, she never accorded him any respect.

He was bestowed the name "octo"short for octopus.

“Don’t make me tell you to leave my class”he hissed.

“I would sincerely appreciate”she started packing her bag.

seconds after the bell rang signaling the end of his class, octo sighed to himself,cursing Jade silently.

Just before he took the last step out of the class Jade yelled “teacher!why are you leaving!”,octo glared before he finally left.

“O my god,Jade ,I think you’ve gotten 100 times sexier” Leah screeched into Jade’s ears.

“Why?because of octo? That’s hurtful” Jade packed her books from the table and took her bag from the back of her chair as they walked out of the class.

“Why is it?” Leah asked curiously.

“How can you indirectly say octo made me sexier!,that's an insult to my status"Jade almost screamed.

“Was just kidding”she laughed.

“Then you mean I’m not sexy either?”Jade said looking like an abandon puppy.

“Let’s pretend that you were”Leah rolled her eyes.

“Ouch”Jade mumbled.

Just as Jade got to her locker her phone ranged.

"Hey mom" she hollered

"Jade!"Maya screeched,while Jade snickered knowing what this was about.

“yes mummy dear?”

“where you in my kitchen?” Maya tried asking calmly.

“Yeah,I made some dinner for you,dad and his guest!!have you tried it??”She said while opening her locker with her free hands.

“How many times have I told you not to come here”Maya almost cried, “this is a disaster,it’s like Zeus had a nap in here!”

Jade switched the phone to her other ear because Maya scream temporarily deafened her left ear.“Mom?”

“What is it” Maya exhaled angrily.

“what movie have you been watching recently?”

Maya swallowed her anger seeing that this conversation wasn’t going to be fruitful, “just make sure you come home early”she sighed then hanged up.

“Did your mom finally abandon you?”Leah asked while they walked to their classroom.

“Very funny”

Jade didn’t find it funny.

“Are you sure considering the fact that you are you”Leah eyed her from top to bottom.

“Shut up ball face”

Just as Jade was about to enter into her next class someone bumped into her making her lose balance,as she was about welcoming the ground someone held her by her waist.

“is this some knight in shining armor s**t” Jade thought.

After her brain and body realized she wasn't going to make that impact it became distracted with something else,She immediately started sweating and got hot flushes,her heart beat increased tremendously,feeling the sudden urge to jump into an ice lake.

Trying to get rid of her situation she pushed his chest not knowing he was still the one holding her from falling,with the sudden release she fell to the floor.

After calming down by taking two deep breaths Jade wanted to get a look at the knight who wore a dirty armor.

A boy around her age was standing at the door looking at the Jade on the floor,he was wearing a sunshade and a black cap his black hair peeping out,a black sweatshirt on a black trouser,on his feet was a black canvas.

“doesn’t he own anything not lifeless” her thought wandered

Normally a girl seeing this Demi god standing at the door and looking down on them would be such a turn on,but our dear Jade was busy wondering why a normal human being inside a building was wearing sunshades.

She positioned herself well on the floor,one leg crossing the other with her palm on her face,her eyebrows raised expecting the one thing she wanted to hear and yes she has to do that while looking noble even on the floor.

Instead the boy gave one last glance and walked away

“Hold it right there you d**k”Jade shouted while she stood up from the ground speedily.

“Didn’t your father teach you any f*****g manners!!!!"She screamed although he wasn't faraway from her,gaining attention from a lot of people who were rather distracted by the ethereal being before them, that includes a drooling Leah.

"Coming from someone giving everyone a bleeding ear?”he turned back to face her.

"Try not to be implicit,say it directly to my face you goat."Jade clenched her fist,she had never met someone as infuriating as him.

“I’m only 3inches away from your face”he said finding her quite dumb.

“Excuse you?!”she eyed him, “ apologize and I’d let you leave in one piece” Jade raised her head in pride.

"and if I don’t ?" He asked while taking a step closer while she took one backwards.

“you wasted a lot of my time and you’re going to pay…..miss…Jade” he said whispering the last part in her ear.

Jade stood still she couldn’t say a word,she just kept wondering how this was possible.
