Chapter 2

"How do you know my name ?"she asked confused,she has never seen him before or spoken to him.

He didn’t say a word and walked away.

Before she could alter any other word Leah quickly came out from the trance she was put in by the Aphrodite himself,even with the glass and cap one could tell that the face wasn’t going to be ordinary plus a wise man once said "good body equal good face".leah giggled by that thought.

"Jade the class is about to beginning we should better go in now else we would have to sit at the front"leah dragged Jade inside quickly.

They luckily entered the class before the bell rang but unfortunately the only empty sits were at the very front.

Jade sighed in frustration as she took her sit angrily causing the chair to make a screeching sound.

"That guy is really unbelievable"Jade puffed still not over it.

"Unbelievably handsome"leah mumbled.

"What did you say"Jade asked not catching her last sentence.

Leah realized she thought aloud "Haa I said unbelievably hand....dicapped" she said avoiding eye contact.

"Yaahhh..."Jade said not believing the liar she has as a friend.

Leah is a perfect blend of different race,her mom is Korean and her dad an African man.Her curly hair was one Jade was jealous of,she could never take her hands off,she helped her braid it anytime she could.Leah’s brown eyes complimented everything.

"Good morning guys"

"Good morning"the whole class echoed,it was the one and only famous and most loved teacher of "Saint Harry University(SHU)",he was loved for his generosity,non-imposing,and carefree behavior quite the contrast to the previous octopus.

"I know you guys spent your weekend wisely" Professor Jim said conveying something different from what he meant.

"Me sir,i would Love to tell you about my wisely spent weekend" tommy the class most honorable flirt pitched in.

"Dear tommy, I don't think any of us care enough about your little bed adventures"

"We don't"half of the class echoed.

"Thanks for the opportunity sir,my weekend was spent the most wisely,i and my girlfriend Sarah" he turned back "you all know her"

That information was something even a freshmen of saint harry would know,when they were always on each other's throat, in the lobby,class,auditorium,field, o and even in the toilet.

Jade once told him God forgot to write “R rated”on his forehead.

"Well,we went on a pregnancy test and maybe we did one or two in the doctors office,table precisely "he said giggling at the ending.

Half of the class were grossed out while his friends asked him about the experience.

"Thanks for the unrequested information tommy,hope the doctor used protections on the table like you should be using with your girlfriend"professor Jim said disappointedly while he turned toward the projector screen.

"Today we going to be talking about faith,what it feels like,what it is expected to achieve whether you believe it or whether it is a complete scam" Jim turned towards the class,"our starter for today is going to be our lovely student miss Jade"

This was the exact reason why Jade and Leah were Kin on not sitting at the front roll, Professor Jim seems has a thing for the chair,that's why all the student avoided it like a plague.

Professor Jim said it was some kind of psychology term called cognitive dissonance the mental conflict that occurs when a person's behaviors and beliefs do not align.

He explained saying 89% of student do not like coming to class early while 10% percent do not like coming at all,so what better way to curb this that to implement his rule,according to him those 89% that do not like coming certainly wouldn't like answering questions they don't have an idea about so to avoid the sit of “questions” they have to come early,it is some kind of "survival of the fittest"thing.

Oh and for the 10% that didn't like coming at all,90% was deducted from their marks,(which according to Jade was supposed to be illegal) but it worked fine since they can't graduate with 10% according to him this was titled " the fear of the known"

The 1% was for people like James and Vicky who loved everything education,they usually come early,come everyday and sit at the front leaving the rest two that Jade and Leah occupied.

After much whining and internal yelling,, she finally stood up "faith is a strong belief in the doctrines of a religion,based on spiritual conviction rather than proof"

"Interesting go on "prof jim urged.

"Faith should feel like a poor 5 year old waiting or having faith that her her dad will come back home with a lollipop worth 50 million dollars"

The class erupted with murmurs

"His she sane ?"someone voiced from one corner

"How does that even make sense"another voiced after trying to reason out her sentences.

"I guess y'all thinking how does the sentence make sense especially people with brain cells like that of Tommy’s probably wondering why a lollipop is worth 50million dollars instead of thinking about the sentence "Jade turned and smirked at tommy.

"Hey not fair" tommy pouted.

"Well that's what I wanted you'll all to see,the way that sentence doesn't make sense to you it's the same way faith seems to me"

Everyone finally understood the meaning of the sentence

Except Tommy

"I'll refer to my story again, as I said previously the girl is poor having a faith isn't going to put the money into her fathers account,so therefore it achieves nothing but disappointment"

"Continue "prof Jim said interested at her belief.

So my conclusion is faith is a complete truth.

The class erupted the second time with Jade’s words but this time was because of how she contradicted herself ,in the beginning she was against the idea of faith but why did she say it's a complete truth,some wondered whether she made a mistake so prof Jim helped them voice it out.

"You mean complete truth not scam?" Prof Jim questioned.

"Yes"

"and why is that?"he asked with so much intrigue.

"Well i only told you guys one definition of faith,it can also be defined as the complete truth or believe in someone or something,faith doesn't have to be defined religiously,Sometimes I think faith and fate works together in a funny way,like when you fall from a really high mountain but at the button there's a person right there to pick you up I'll say that was fate but where faith comes in for me is whether you believe that person can pick you up or isn't there to deceive you or push you further,I certainly don't have religious faith that's complete bullshit because I certainly know that little five year old didn't rob the bank or beg the president she was certainly praying that's why she got big disappointment,but faith in a person is a gamble you might win you might lose, so thereby religious faith is a complete scam and people faith is truth"

“What are you?Shakespeare?” Leah whispered while Jade took her sit.

The rest of the class applauded and it was certain they didn’t understand s**t.

Miss Jade’s points are quite captivating and new…….

The class went on and on with Leah and Jade being the days test subjects,it ended with Leah taking a vow of punctuality.

It was already 5PM when Leah dropped Jade at her house after their long goodbyes Leah drove off while screaming “I know you love me,I know you care” by Justin Bieber.

Jade wondered why Leah never got arrested for noise violations especially in this estate where the occupants behaved like they have never seen what a s**t looks like.

Jade ascended the small stairs about to turn the entrance door knob when it opened revealing that peculiar smirk she would never forget.
