She felt she was different from the start, but when she met him it felt like she was normal. Skyler is just a normal girl with a rough past. Or so she thinks. Little does she know her whole life is about to flip around.

I will be trying to update weekly! I am writing this as I go!

The Beginning
Beep, Beep, Beep! I seriously want to sleep! Laying in bed is so peaceful, and it means not having to do anything. Why can’t it just be like this all the time? Oh s**t! I’m late. Crap. I throw the covers off me and rush to the bathroom. I can’t exactly brush my teeth and comb my hair simultaneously, but I must get it done. Why do I have to have long ass hair, man? I should chop it off. I rush back to my room, throw my work clothes on, grab my shoes, and rush out the door. Oh s**t, my keys! Trying to put my shoes on while running back into the apartment is impossible, but I make it and grab my keys from the counter. At work, it's slow, but the customers we have coming in are lovely. Thank god for that. As a server, friendly customers are the best and make the job worth it in the end. It’s one thirty in the afternoon, so my shift is ending soon. Hopefully, Sabrina is at the apartment because I have a lot to tell her. The stranger at the bar, the weird dream, and complaining about the manager like always. As I finished doing my side work, I got a text from an unknown number. Did you have fun last night? What? Who was texting me? I don’t remember giving the stranger my number; I drank a lot, so if I did, I definitely wouldn't remember. Either way, I don’t respond. I want to talk to Sabrina before I do anything irrational. I decided against checking with my manager because he would make me pick up everyone else’s slack, so I just left. I want to get home as soon as possible. When I get home, Sabrina is on the couch watching “The Vampire Diaries” and eating everything in the apartment. “Sabrina! I thought we agreed to watch this together!” I shout at her. I am slightly disappointed she is watching it without me, but I’m not surprised. “Skyler! You didn’t text me that you were on the way home! Come on, though. You can’t blame me! Damon and Stefan are hot!” She squeals while trying to make a puppy dog face but giggles like a high schooler. I laugh and sit on the couch. She throws her legs on my lap and continues to watch the TV. “Hey, Sabrina? I got some tea to spill.” As soon as the sentence leaves my mouth, she instantly pauses the show and stares at me. I laugh as she grabs the bowl of popcorn she had sitting on the coffee table. I tell her about the guy at the bar and his possible text message. She listens surprisingly, so I tell her about the dream involving that mystery guy from the bar. I hear my phone go off and see that I got another text from an unknown number. I can’t stop thinking about you. I never did tell you my name. It’s Michael. I would like to see you again. I look up at Sabrina and tell her he texted me again. She gives me that middle school look when your friends catch you talking to your crush. Now, I can feel the heat radiating off my face and know it’s as red as a tomato. I look back at my phone, contemplating what I should say if anything. I barely remember last night, which means I barely remember him. “Skyler, are you going to respond to him?” Sabrina is staring at me wide-eyed with a smirk on her face. “I don’t know, Brina, I want to, but I don’t remember much from last night, so how do I know if I should?” I ask, curious as to what she’s going to tell me. I have a feeling I know her answer before she says it. “Just give him a chance, Sky. What's the harm in meeting up with him again? Just do coffee or lunch. No alcohol because then you can decide if it’s worth it if he texts you again.” She says. I felt she was going to tell me to give him a chance. I look down at my phone, ready to reply, when I see another text has come through. Not from Michael, though; it's from Tyler, my ex. Seeing you with that guy you were with made me miss us last night. I’m sorry for everything I did to you. Can we please talk? “Brina, Tyler texted me. I guess he saw me last night.” She goes mad and takes my phone, “Hey, what are you doing!” I scramble to get my phone back. “I am blocking him, that’s all. He cheated on you and abused you! He doesn’t get to talk to you anymore.” She retorts, and for that, I can’t blame her. “Thank you, but I could’ve done it myself,” I tell her with a small smile hanging on my lips. I grab my phone from her and tell her I am going to my room. I have a lot to think about.
