The Date

Just then I hear a knock on the door. I hear Sabrina open the door and judging by how high pitched her voice gets, she thinks he’s hot. I never told her what he looked like just so I could laugh at her for this exact reason. I hear her tell him to have a seat on the couch so she can see if I finished getting ready. I look in the mirror again and still can’t believe I agreed to do this. Looking at myself in the mirror something seems different after Sabrina let him in the apartment. My eyes have turned a little more blue than normal and it's kind of creepy but cool at the same time. Just then Sabrina opens the door and shuts it so quietly I wouldn’t have known she shut it if I wasn’t looking at her. Her jaw drops open. “You didn’t tell me that he looks like that!” She squeals at me. I can tell she finally starts to look at me because her eyes go wide, “You look amazing Sky!” “Thank you. I wouldn’t look this good if it wasn;t for you giving me an outfit to wear, but I guess it’s time for me to go. I will see you later Brina.” I give her a hug before heading to the living room. When I look at the couch I am truly not ready for what I am seeing. His dirty blonde hair is almost perfectly disheveled.and his chocolatey brown eyes have a weird hint of lapis blue in them as well. That is very weird because I have been the only one my whole life that has had that. His bulging biceps are wrapped in a tight black t-shirt. He looks like a god. “Are you ready to go? We’ll most likely be gone till about ten pm. Sabrina, I will bring her home later tonight.” He explains. I forgot what his voice sounded like! It is extremely soothing and sounds like he could seriously do no harm. “Yeah I’m ready to go, I just have to grab my purse.” I try to sound calm but by the goofy looking smirk on his face it didn’t work very well. I grab my purse from the counter and give Brina a quick hug to say bye. She can’t stop smiling and I really want to slap her but I also wan’t to make a good impression. I remember enough from the bar to know it was a very questionable first impression. We walk out to his car and I stop dead in my tracks. He has one of my dream cars, a Skyline. He starts laughing, so I can only assume the look on my face is ridiculous. I walk to the car and immediately fall in love with it. Michael keeps laughing as he opens the door for me and closes it after I get in. He walks around the car and gets in and thats when I come back to reality and realize its imported too. Putting the car in reverse he doesn’t stop laughing. “You can drive it back to your place tonight if you’d like.” That sentence draws my attention back to him and I try to see if he is joking with me. “You’re joking right? You can’t be serious about that!” I really hope he isn’t joking but I can’t tell if he is or not. “Im serious, I can tell you like it, so you can drive it later.” He winks at me and continues driving. Holy s**t, I get to drive it! Looking out the window, I’m not sure where we are besides the forest. Time passes and we pull into a parking lot to what seems like a bar and grille. Like a gentleman he gets out and opens my door again and holds the door open to the restaurant. Everyone stops what they’re doing and stare at us when we walk through the door. As if I wasn’t nervous before I am extremely nervous now. Everyone here seems to know Michael and that kind of scares me. Turning to look at him I catch a girl staring at us and she is glaring daggers at me. I don’t even know her! He must have sensed my uneasiness because he turns to look at the girl and a low growl comes out of him. Okay, now I am really confused. “Ex girlfriend?” I cautiously ask when I catch them locked in a staring contest. It takes him a moment to remember I’m there. “Uh , you can say that. We had a thing but nothing serious. I didn’t think she would ever show up here again.” He’s kind of distant after that but I just assume something bad happened between them. We walk to a booth in darker back corner and I realize everyone isn’t staring anymore, it’s almost like they weren’t staring in the first place. Soon a waitress comes over and she seems really interested in Michael but he doesn’t take his eyes off me. We order and sit there kind of awkwardly. Then I look up to him still staring at me but I’m not sure if he’s actually staring or what’s going on. His eyes are kind of glazed over and then all of a sudden, they turn back to their normal colors. “How long were you watching me?” He asks kind of worriedly.
