I woke up in another person's body. What is going on? I don't even have a memory of how I got here or what happened to me.
"Thank the Moon Goddess you are alive. My brothers found you half-dead; you fell from a cliff. I am Lily."
"What? I can't remember anything about my past life. What happened to me? How did I fall from a cliff?" I asked Lily.
"I think you lost your memory due to the crash. You have been unconscious for two days. Let me give you food and the potion the priest prepared for you."
After eating, I took the potion and slept off.
When I woke up, I started having flashbacks of what happened to me. I remembered how I fell from the cliff, Alpha Hunter, Liam, Olivia, Ava, and Riley.
I think I am starting to get my memory back, but this is not how I previously looked. It's as if I am in another person's body.
As I was thinking to myself, two guys entered the room. I thought they wanted to harm me, so I grabbed a potion container.
"We are not going to harm you. We are the ones who saved your life. Put down the container," one of them said.
"I am Nathan, and this is my brother Mason. We found you while we were going to the Moonlight pack. So we decided to cancel our trip to save your life."
"Why were you going to the Moonlight pack?" I asked.
"It is a secret mission given to us by our father. We are going there to find someone to save this pack from our wicked Alpha," Mason said.
"So, where did you bring me?" I asked.
"This is the Dark Hound pack. We are omegas of the pack," Nathan replied.
I couldn't believe I was in my original pack. I started having flashbacks of how my uncle killed my father.
"What is the name of the Alpha?" I asked.
"His name is Alpha Timber," Mason said.
I couldn't believe my ears. I am back in my pack, and my uncle, the murderer, is now the Alpha. Did he kill my dad so he could be the Alpha? I wondered.
"You look like you have seen a ghost. Do you know Alpha Timber?" Nathan asked.
"Who are you going to find in Moonlight pack?" I asked to evade Nathan's question.
Before Mason could tell me, Nathan cut him off.
"We can't tell you. It's a secret mission. Our father told us to keep it a secret," Nathan said.
"I think you should tell me who you are finding. I am a member of the Moonlight pack. I grew up there, and I am willing to help you find the person to repay for your kindness," I told them.
During my time in the Moonlight pack, I didn't hear of anybody coming from the Dark Hound pack. So, I think I am the one they are looking for, I thought to myself.
"Give us a minute in private. You can take a walk around the hut. Seeing outside is good for your health," Mason pleaded.
As I got out of the room, I pretended as if I was walking away from the hut. I turned around the hut and placed my ear on the window to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Look, Nathan, both of us have never been to Moonlight before, and here is someone who can help us. I think we should tell her who we are looking for so she can help us," Mason said.
"How can we trust her? We barely know her. What if she is a spy from Moonlight or Alpha Timber's spy?" Nathan replied.
"Alright, let's assume we have gotten to Moon Light pack. So we started asking everyone we saw that we were looking for Zina. Won't they think we are in their pack to harm her? Or we're rogues who came to rob their pack? Think about it.
"So you're telling me that we should tell a secret our father said we should guard with our life to someone we barely know?" Nathan inquired.
"What options do we have? When we were going to Moonlight, we didn't have a plan. But the Moon Goddess sent us a helper. You are telling me we should ask for help. It doesn't make any sense."
"Alright, I concur. Let's ask her for help. But if it goes sideways, it's all on you," Nathan said firmly.
As I heard them coming out of the hut, I hurried away from the window so they didn't know I was eavesdropping the whole time.
"Zina! Zina! We have something to discuss with you," Mason called.
About why we were headed to Moonlight Pack, firstly I have to tell you a story.
"Three years ago, the current Alpha, Alpha Timber, was the Beta before he killed the Alpha and his family. But two months ago, before my father passed away, he told us that the Alpha's daughter managed to escape. Her name is Zina."
She has the Great Dane wolf. He asked us to find her and bring her back to the pack to fight Alpha Timber. It is the only way that can bring prosperity to the pack, Nathan narrated.
"Since Alpha Timber became the Alpha, things became terrible for the pack, especially the omegas. Our lives became terrible. The Alpha and Beta force us to fight, rob neighboring packs, and steal food," Mason added.
My heart is saddened. I knew my parents in no way survived, but confirming to me now that they were dead broke me completely.
"I don't know how to tell them that I am Zina. I don't think they would believe me. But on second thought, I think I may need allies to be able to make my uncle pay for his sins," I thought.
"Just tell them already and don't be silly," Zeo whispered.
"I am Zina," I said.
Mason and Nathan exchanged looks and burst into a peal of weird laughter.
"This is not the time for jokes. We just need your help to find Zina," Nathan said.
"Besides, you don't look like Zina. Even though I saw her only a few times, I can still remember how she looked," Mason added.
I narrated how I fell from the cliff and how I was reborn in another body, but I saw disbelief on their faces.
"You know that happens to werewolves, like once in a hundred years," Nathan said with doubt.
"Why don't you shift into your wolf and let us see what you are made of," Mason said with a smirk.
"Let's show them!" zeo screamed in my mind.
So, I went inside and shifted into the Great Dane wolf. When I came out, they couldn't believe it.
"Praise the Moon Goddess, we have been saved!" Nathan shouted, falling to his knees.
