The Dance of Death

    Danny and I were getting ready for the Dance; I was ecstatic! I styled my hair letting it down in its natural purpose messy style. Danny did my makeup with a dark smokey eye that stood out on my fair skin and light eyes. He even put a black crescent moon made of gems on my cheek for fun! Once I was ready, I knew no one would recognize me!

    Danny gave me a beautiful mask Black jeweled with a white crescent moon on the side. I looked better than I have ever seen myself…I nearly cried. I could just be me for one night without harassment!  ‘No crying! mate will be there you mustn’t mess up your make up!’ Rocks says to make me laugh.

    I threw on my old running shoes because I had no others and left my room. My mother stayed inside again not wanting to leave. With a sigh we made our way to the dance. Once there we saw everyone was having a great time! No one knew who I was, but I could see multiple males eyeing me for the first time in my life!

    I started dancing when a few unmated males came up to me. Trying to dance with me, but Danny made sure to step in the way or whisk me away. I did not want to dance with anyone except for Danny…and maybe one other. We moved to the beat and as it got later in the evening it became more R rated.

    The families and elders left to go to bed leaving the younger generation to their devices. The males and female were grinding on each other and some would go away to the wood for a make out session or to have s*x. Some a little too bold about it, but that was werewolf culture for you. The 20’s and late teens always made you lusting as a way to incline mating.

    I felt it, his presences the minute he joined the party. Everyone knew who he was, and every female was all over him. They didn’t even hide that were desperate for his attention. He ignored most of them partying with fellow males. I tried to ignore him and continued dancing with Danny. Though my thoughts were constantly going back to him. I wanted to try and get close, but I was too scared to try.

    A very s****l rap song came on, Danny and I were having a blast! He then jokingly slapped my ass. I just laughed but noticed he stopped dead in his tracks staring at someone behind me. I didn’t even have to turn I knew… ‘mate’. I turned, his eyes were black and enraged starring at Danny. He grabbed my arm and pulled me away as the next song started.

    The slightest touch sent fire through my skin and before I knew it, we were dancing! Not saying a word, we danced together. I had let my wolf take over and I was all over him. I looked away for a moment to check on Danny. He was shocked standing frozen with his mouth open watching. I was also surprised by my confidence have never been this confident before, but I couldn’t help it. It’s as if my instincts just took over!

    The moon light shining, the beat of the music and fiery touch from Zane lit my soul a blaze. We moved as one, held me close never letting go. I was entranced; we never broke eye contact. I eventually got so comfortable and confident I started singing along to the music. Zane gave me a look that sent shivers done my spine. I was singing like there was no tomorrow.

    Though in the back of my mind I was sure this would be my only time with him before he rejected me. My eyes went black with lust and so did his. When the dance ended, and he leaned down he was about to kiss me when Rachel stepped in and interjected. He growled angrily at her, but she was vying for him. He calmed down and let me go trying to act as a proper dignified Alpha. I was suddenly aware that the dance was wrapping up and reality set in; I was scared.

    I had duties to clean or I would be punished. I walked away and got changed into my normal clothes and started my work. The grounds were a disaster! I was sweeping when suddenly I was struck hard falling to the ground! I look up to find Rachel, Josh and Jared!

    “f*****g b***h! You have the nerve to dance with the new Alpha if he knew who you were, he wouldn’t have given you a second glance! Now he’s mad at me for interrupting! *scoff* More like saving him from embarrassment… You should have stayed at home with your shell of a mother! Now you need to learn your place bastard!” Rachel spat the words at me before she struck me repeatedly.

    Jared and Josh joined in, happily. I scrambled to my feet trying to run away but they wouldn’t let me! They chased me through the woods I quickly shifted and went to the cliff hoping to be far from them. It was dark the moon covered by clouds I couldn’t see much….I then heard them! They found me!

    They fought me in wolf form… I attempted to fight them, but I was overpowered. I was outnumbered and not strong enough to fend them off. I eventually had to shift tried and beaten. I lay there near the edge of the cliff silently begging for death. I was bleeding, bones broken, face swollen. I couldn’t move I was in so much pain I would rather die than endure anymore. The last thing I saw was Rachel speaking to me ‘I hope you bleed out swine!’. 

Then the world faded to black … I was alone...
