Luna Jorjette

Jorjette’s Pov As soon as I heard his question, I swallowed. I looked straight at him, wondering how he would react if I told him I didn't feel anything. It was not that I didn't feel anything but I didn't allow myself to have any type of emotion toward him. I wanted everything to be just transactional between us, that way, no one would get hurt. I was thinking of the best words to say at this point and Kyra wasn't even helping. “Answer me!” He said as he came closer to place a hand on my shoulder. In that split second, I felt a spark and tingles between our skin. In that second, Kyra had managed to burst out even though I was suppressing her. “Did you feel that?” Roman asked as he looked from our contact place to my eyes with a slight smile on his face. He was expectant and I wasn't going to give him what he expected. I placed my hand on his with a deep breath, putting a leash on my emotions, and then took his hand off my shoulder. “I do not feel anything, Your Majesty. We just happened to mark each other, do you think I would fall in love with you so easily?” I uttered in the cruelest tone I could muster, trying to crush every hope he had. “But I feel it. My Wolf feels it.” He insisted and tried to step toward me again but I took a step backward like I was disgusted by his presence. “I think it is a little too early for us to talk about feelings,” I said with a slight smile on my face, keeping it professional even though I was almost half-naked before him. “Oh, is that so?” Roman asked and I nodded. He was about to say something else but I beat him to it. “If you would please excuse me, Your Majesty. The only thing I would like to talk about is about my revenge.” I said with so much resoluteness and my tone gave no room for any opposition. “How do you expect us to talk when you are dressed like that?” He asked with a snort and then turned around to walk away. But I didn't fail to notice that he was angry and disappointed, he was just trying to control himself. At this point, I knew I needed to be careful else I would provoke him or his wolf and they were much stronger than me. “I think providing clothes for me will suffice. I will meet up with you later.” I replied and that was my cue for him to leave. Suppressing Kyra wasn't so easy and it was taking a toll on me and her healing process. At my words, Roman turned to look at me, the side of his face visible only. And then he smirked dangerously. I was expecting him to say something more but he turned around to leave. The door was slammed shut with a loud thud and I sighed, tiredly. I sat down on my bed and released Kyra immediately while I took deep breaths. For all the time he was here, my Wolf had been suffering. “You can't continue to suppress me, Jorjette.” I heard Kyra's voice in my head and it was obvious she was annoyed with me. “I know but it is a matter of time. We have to endure and get out of here soon. We can't let our feelings cloud us.” I explained with so much worry because I knew that my actions over Kyra could lead to something we wouldn't like. She had not healed from the half rejection with Gabe and I have been supplying her with my healing powers but suppressing her would make things worse. “Trust Roman. He is our mate.” She said with so much seriousness and I shook my head. “No way!” I said firmly, trying to dominate her thoughts but it was hard. We were two halves and having different thoughts could be detrimental to us. I was still trying to reason with Kyra when there was a knock on the door. My head snapped in its direction, thinking it was Roman again and immediately I put a leash on Kyra. “Come in,” I said with a deep breath but as the door opened up, two maids walked in carrying a movable wardrobe with dresses hanging off it and a few other necessary clothes. “Good day, Luna Jorjette. The King has asked us to deliver this.” One of the maids said and I frowned in question. “Why are you calling me that? I am not the Luna.” I said with a little bit of distaste at the back of my mouth but the maids only looked at each other and bowed. In the next second, they walked out slowly leaving me bewildered. I had unknowingly released Kyra since it wasn't Roman but what baffled me now were the maids’ actions. Roman had definitely told them something and I was sure he was telling other people that I am the Luna. I didn't need that! I didn't want to blend in with his Pack at all and immediately I stood up to my feet and looked through the dresses. I needed to see him to talk some sense into his head and find a way to push my revenge plans before him. That way I would be able to leave this Pack once I was done. I would find my way back to the Blue Wolf Pack and then my revenge will begin. I couldn't wait to see Gabe falling to my feet begging for forgiveness which I wouldn't grant. I took off a black dress with thin straps. It was fitted from my shoulder to my waist and then flowed to my knees beautifully. The dress was simple yet elegant and as I looked through the dresses, I realized they were all top-notch. “At least he knows how to think properly.” I heard Kyra say and I snorted but I couldn't deny that was true. Gabe would never think to do something of this sort. Anyway, I couldn't give him credit in my head, so I put on the dress and I found a flat sole shoe to pair with it in the wardrobe. I was set and as I walked toward the door, there was another knock and in the next second the door opened. “Who are you?” I asked with a frown seeing a man dressed in simple clothes who didn't look like royalty at all. I didn't care who he was but then he shouldn't barge into my room without my permission. “The King has asked me to check on you.” The man replied, ignoring my question.
