Isabella
Isabella's POV "goes by Bella"-
All I can hear around me are my footsteps hitting the gravel as I feel the cool April air on my face. My long platinum blonde hair tied up in a pony tail and sweat dripping off me, I am finishing my 10th mile of the morning. It truly is an amazing morning, the air is still light and the sun is coming through after days of rain, all I can smell is the fresh dew on the grass and trees. Many times I only enjoy running right as dawn peeks, the forest is so quite at this time of the day since all the creatures of the night are now heading in to sleep and humans have not started waking up yet.
I live in a beautiful small town, Lake Placid, New York. The population is roughly four thousand people. We have people who enjoy living in the small town atmosphere and then people like me who choose homes on the outskirts of town. Though our town is small, we do get tourists for our picturesque lake. People in this town tend to never get out once settled. I guess we all fall in love with the rural feeling and freedom that comes with it. Don't get me wrong, we do have bigger cities around for the things we can't find here, but in my eyes I am just fine right here.
Finishing up my run, I slow to a walk and head back home from the lake. My house is only about 3 miles from here, so after my big loop around the town, I always get to enjoy the ending with a walk past the lake. The ice is now out from our cold winter and the birds are coming back for the spring. I really have never been one to exercise, but since I turned 14 my father and brother would get me up at the crack of dawn for training and cardio. Now that I am 25, I have found a love for exercise to relieve stress and use it as my quiet time to prepare for the day.
Once I turned 18 I left the Blue Moon pack. I was accepted into an early start medical program through St. George University in Grenada, West Indies. I am a werewolf, so living as a pack is what is expected of me. My mother and father were the Beta's of the pack, so they were second in command, which is now where my brother Eli resides; next to my grade school boyfriend, Christopher Montenegro (I guess Alpha Montenegro now). I haven't been back since the morning of my 18th birthday, since fortunately, I flew out that morning for school and, sadly enough, I don't plan to visit anytime soon. I have built a life on my own away from the pack. Not that I am a rogue or anything, I am still considered a part of their pack, but living outside the territory, which is about 4 hours north of my small town. My parents and brother come and stay with me when they have time so that helps with the homesickness.
My wolf's name is Novah, since we are the daughters of two betas we are large compared to other werewolves and her fur is snow white with paws and the tip of her tail black. Which I think is fierce and let me tell you it matches Novah perfectly. Novah and I have a good schedule where 2-3 nights out of the week I shift and let her have control. Many times she will head north and will run for hours. Though we are fated together and bestfriends, she will block off our communication at times, especially when we argue over mates since she claims "I never gave her a chance to find him". Incase your wondering you meet your wolf on your 18th birthday, the day I left. My family will be visiting this weekend since it will be my 26th birthday, Novah can't wait to run and play with Trey my brothers wolf.
Once I round the last corner on my driveway I can see my house it is a three story farm house. It is not small for one person I have a three bedrooms and two baths on 7 acres outside of town. Granted it was built in the 1970's I love the old farm houses which is one of the reasons I instantly fell in love with it. I had redone a lot of the house to make it more modernized when I first moved here. The front door leads to my living room and straight ahead is my separate dining room and through a separate door is the kitchen. To the right when you walk in is the laundry room and bathroom. Upstairs are the three bedrooms and a bathroom. I took out the wall separating my room and the bathroom and added a walk-in closet. (really if it is just me here I might as well have it the way I want it) Then added a clawfoot bathtub, rain shower, and double vanity.
I climb up my front stairs to the house and head in, glancing at my watch it is now 6:30am and I have to be in town by 8:00am to open up the clinic. Every morning is the same. I grab my speaker and turn on Pandora to blast my favorite songs while showering and getting ready. Once out of the shower, the song "pour some sugar on me" comes on and well, it's always a pump up tune. I apply lotion and begin blow drying my hair I have naturally straight hair, round blue eyes, and thanks to years of braces, straight teeth. With only a light layer of foundation, mascara, lip gloss, and leaving my hair, I am all set. I throw on my go-to-Monday morning outfit, which is a black pencil skirt, loose white blouse tucked in, and nude flats.
