CHAPTER FIVE

She looked at the hospital, the sight of the hospital makes her sad. She walked into the hospital. She entered the elevator and pressed a button.
She was going to visit him. She came out of the elevator . And she saw them
“ s**t” Ava said and quickly went farther away from them. Why is guards in front of the door?. she looked around and saw Titi. Titi wasn’t far from her.
“ Titi” Ava called out a little bit quietly
Titi stopped, she heard Ava. But she didn’t turn around. She was waiting. Ava frowned
“ must I say it?” Ava said a little loud.
Titi nodded her head. Ava sighed
“ Titi babey” Ava said forcefully.
Titi smiled. Turned around and walked to Ava. Titi frowned
“ what are you doing here?” Titi asked.
Ava frowned
“ what are guards doing in front of my dad’s room” Ava said annoyingly.
“ Miriam did it. She found out that you seldom visit him” Titi said seriously.
Ava looked puzzled
“ how did she know?” Ava asked.
“ I don’t know. Maybe she has spies” Titi said uncertain.
“ maybe” Ava said and kept quiet for a while. Ava faced Titi “ well I need you to help me get to my dad’s room” Ava said warmly.
Titi frowned
“ you really want to get me fired’.
" If you get fired I can hire you "
" Says someone who is working under someone "
" Actually it's someone who is working under a monster "
Ava smiled
“ Please. Just this once”
Titi sighed
“ fine” she said forcefully. Ava smiled widely “ so what’s your plan?” Ava asked.
Titi kept quiet for a while. Then smiled.

“ Abeg after this,make we go chop” one of the guards said to another.
The guard he was talking to smiled
“ you don talk the right thing. Hunger one kill me for here” the guard said then faced the nurse approaching them.
The nurse faced the guards
“ I have to check up on him” the nurse said in a British tone.
The guards moved away from the door and the nurse entered. And closed the door
“ so stressful” Ava said, irritated, and removed the nose mask on her face. She looked at the bed and saw Eze. Still lying unconscious . she walked closer to Eze, slowly and tearfully.
“ why? Why is this happening to you” Ava stopped in front of the bed and sat down at the edge of the bed. She stared at Eze for a while
“dad, I really don’t want to date him” Ava said despondently “ but I have no choice”. Ava held Eze hands “ dad please don’t die. I will do anything …just to save you” she paused “ even dating Kofi” Ava said ambivalently.
“ I will set everything right. I will make her pay. I’ll take back what ours” Ava said darkly. “ she will suffer,she has to” Ava chuckled darkly “ I’m going to play her game… and I’m going to survive” Ava sniffles “ I’m going to make her pay. I’ll take back what ours” Ava said darkly. “ she will suffer,she has to” Ava chuckled darkly “ I’m going to play her game… and I’m going to survive” Ava sniffles “ I’m going to get you back from her…I’m going to make her pay” Ava paused “I promise…I promise”Ava said quietly.
Ava kept quiet for a moment
“ I’m a celebrity now… Miriam’s doing , and…I kidn*pped someone” Ava chuckled lightly “ I didn’t have a choice.she was f*****g annoying. She knows my deepest secret” Ava faced Eze “ not the one about my unromantic first kiss. It’s the one about you and mum” Ava frowned “ so I dealt with her… because secret are meant to be hidden” Ava smile for a while then frowned “ oh I forgot, Miriam hit me” Ava laughed “ she hit me so hard, my lips busted. But you can’t see it. Obi is very good at makeup.” Ava sighed “ I’m going to say yes… I’m going to play this game” Ava said vehemently.
Suspenseful music can be heard in the background.
CHAPTER SIX.
He was sitting in the restaurant. He looked around, the restaurant was empty. He sighed. He hated waiting
“ gosh, she could have gotten somewhere less creepy.” Kofi touched his stomach “ I’m hungry. Waiter “ Kofi shouted.
The waiter walked closer to him
“ what can I do for you?” the waiter said a little rude. Kofi noticed the tone but brushed it off. He was hungry. He picked up the menu paper
“ I would like to order the semolina treat with the reddish soup and for the wine” Kofi faced the waiter. The waiter looked perplexed “ I want the best wine …”
The waiter scoffed cutting off Kofi
“ there must be a misunderstanding here” the waiter tried not to laugh “ there is no food here.
Kofi looked confused then frowned
“ what do you mean by that?” he paused “ this is a f*****g restaurant…and restaurant have food” Kofi said angrily.
The waiter sighed
“ yes you are right. But the person who reserve this restaurant prohibited us from giving you food” the waiter said sharply.
Kofi scoffed
“ what are you saying?” Kofi asked confused.
The waiter took a deep breath and let it out
“ I’m trying to get into character” the waiter said and inhaled and exhaled for a while “ she said ‘he has the right to sit,maybe look around. But to eat, that ain’t his right. Give him nothing except bone’. that what she said” he said in a dramatic way.
Kofi looked infuriated
“ how dare she use food to play with me” Kofi said angrily. The waiter walked away, Kofi stretched forth his hand to drag the waiter back. Then he dropped his hand
“ I’m so hungry” Kofi said weakly.
He hated Ava. He wished he could escape this but he has no choice.
Ava entered and saw Kofi, she frowned. She walked closer to Kofi and sat down.
Kofi saw Ava and frowned
“ really. No food”
Ava smiled
“ hi” she said facetiously “ I didn’t know you will be hungry” she said sarcastically.
" Yeah, I forgot that I'm immortal and I don't get hungry"
" You don't have to take it personally"
" If I were to get personal , you will be forced to learn an angry man is a hungry man"
" I think that's a threat. It's kinda too low for you"
Kofi looked at Ava feeling enrage
“ you b***h you…”
“ b***h?” Ava asked cutting off Kofi “ I thought you love me” Ava said teasingly.
Kofi slowly smiled, forcefully
“ I do.So why did you set up this meeting” he paused “ I thought you hated me” Kofi sighed “ well I’m happy. I’m glad you are giving me a chance to prove my love to you”
Ava frowned
“ enough of this pretense” she said sharply, surprising Kofi.
Kofi stopped smiling
“what do you want?”he asked uncertain.
“ let’s date” Ava said sharply and harshly.
Kofi looked at Ava uncertain
“ wait, wait ,wait. Are you saying you want to be my girlfriend” Kofi asked smiling.
“no, I don’t want to be your girlfriend” Ava said harshly “ but I have no choice . I need you , your popularity, your fans, your network, your contact, every useful thing about you. I need it. And I know you need me to. We both need each other. So why not help each other” Ava said seriously.
“ so straight to the point” Kofi said seriously “ what do you want from this relationship?” Kofi asked.
Ava scoffed lightly
“ what do you want from this relationship?” Ava asked.
Kofi chuckled lightly
“ I guess we will never know” he paused “I’m in. It sounds fun” he smiled “ I like it”
Ava smiled
“ good” she sighed “ I won’t let you use me. I’ll never. I will take you down before you take me. This is no fun, it’s a game… a dangerous one” she though to herself and smile widely.
Kofi stood up
“ I guess we have a deal”
Ava stood up
“ I guess so” she said quietly.
They had a small handshake
“ we are now a team so we need to trust each other” Kofi said to Ava and left.
“ trust?” Ava said angrily “ I don’t trust bullshit like you” Ava said and left.

She poured the drink into the cup and drank it, she was already drunk
“ life is…is so annoying” Ava said drunk. She drank another glass.
“ I want to get really drunk” she took the bottle and drank from it.
To people she is a star , a person whose personality is clean. But the real truth. She is just someone trying to survive and if she have to become a bad girl for that, she would do it.
“ you know alcohol doesn’t really solve one’s problem” Femi said from behind.
Ava turned around and saw Femi
“ who the hell are you?” she asked very drunk.
“ alcohol makes you forget your problem for a while but it doesn’t solves it” Femi said and walked closer to Ava.
Ava hissed, turned around and continued drinking.
Femi sighed
“ I guess you are the stubborn type” Femi said.
Ava stopped drinking, she faced Femi
“ I don’t drink to solve my problems. I drink to forget it” she said dreary
“ why?’ Femi asked.
Ava frowned
“ you are to nosy” she paused “ some problems cannot be solve, it’s hopeless. Since you can’t run from it, just forget about it” Ava said.
Femi smiled
“ intellectual”
Ava smiled
“ yeah” Ava said softly.
“ can I drink with you?” Femi asked then winked at Ava.
Ava looked at Femi
“ gross” she asked irritably “no” Ava said harshly.
Femi acted pained “ so harsh”
Ava stood up
“ I have to go”she paused “ maybe next time”.
Femi smiled
“ I’m Femi by the way”
“whatever” Ava said sharply.
“ what’s yours?”Femi asked persuasively.
Ava faced Femi, she kept quiet for a moment
“ I’m Cinderella” Ava smiled “ goodbye”
Femi watch Ava leave, he chuckled
“ Cinderella. That’s cute” he took a bottle and drank from it.
