It was hard to trust people growing up. I knew everyone around me was lying. I never grew up feeling loved or in a traditional family. I was told to hate those who wronged my family. I was told to seek revenge. I couldn't tell you what I want but I know I have to find the truth. I have to find out who I really am.

I didnt want to get close to her in the process but she was something different from what I have seen before.

So Called Parents
Luciano I grew up with my great grandfather in Brasil. He was an old man. He barely had time for me. I never knew my mother or father. This man said that a very evil man murdered both of them. I grew up hearing this over and over. Even from my mother's father. See, I only have my father's grandfather and my mother's father as family. Everyone else was just people who worked for them. These two men were ambitious and well respected. They wanted me to become like them or even worse. When I was younger, I hated the thought of growing up. When I was five, my great grandfather, Daniel Silva, let me take piano lessons. I actually enjoyed that very much. I was good at it too. Gifted they called it. I would have continued playing but life got in the way. The minute I turned fifteen, my great grandfather hired a man to look out for me. His name was Angelo. He helped me learn to fight, shoot, and kill. Daniel took great pride in my first kill. At the time, I didn't know why, but soon I found out it was all a part of his plan. Daniel then told me more about the monster. His name was Adriano Santos Hernandez. He was a very powerful man with a powerful family. Everyone feared him. He told me how he took my father's life for being loyal to his boss. He told me they took me from my mother and killed her even though she had done nothing wrong. I really didn't know what to believe, but I researched the man they had told me scary stories about. That part was true. He was evil and a monster. He killed and was cruel. To be honest, if it was for me, I would have forgotten everything from the past and moved on. Daniel and my grandfather kept on with their pursuit. I really don't know if I ever grew to hate him, but I did resent him. Adriano took everything from me. Not just my family, but my life. The person I could have been. As time went on, I decided to live by my own rules. I traveled the world and found two best friends and bodyguards. Demetri was a Russian badass who was three years older than me. He showed me how to fight with different weapons and even made me a decent sniper. Heitor was a Brazilian American. His parents were from Rio but he was born in America. He was a real badass too. He would take a bullet for me. He was a true friend. He loved to fight with his fists but could handle any weapon you gave him. He was huge and had tattoos everywhere. The three of us traveled and caused trouble everywhere we went. I was happy at that time. I was free. I turned twenty-one and my grandfather found some men to come to find me. I was dragged back to Brasil and taught about the business. We grew an army and took back some control in the city. I learned everything I could about these underground deals. Then it was time. "I have arranged for you to go and learn from Adriano," my great grandfather said. "You take everything from him, right out from under him," my grandfather added. "He doesn't know what I look like, does he?" I asked. "No, why?" they questioned. "Demetri and Heitor are always with me. The photos that are taken of us never mention who is who. I never wanted to be in the public eye," I explained. "I could use this to my advantage." "How so?" Daniel asked. "Let that be my business," I said. "I will explain everything as soon as I have made progress. "Okay, we will leave it to you but don't screw this up boy, we only have one chance," Daniel said. Three Weeks Later I was invited over to have dinner with the Hernandez family. The wife, Catalina, welcomed us with open arms. She hugged Heitor tightly, thinking he was me. I had decided to let Heitor pretend to be me so I could see everything from an outsider's perspective. I would also be able to be invisible and find out things that I couldn't if I was being watched all the time. I was staring at the pair greeting their long-lost son when I then noticed a girl staring at us. She had curly brown hair and brown eyes. She intently stared at them. She was curious, suddenly her eyes met mine. I smiled trying to hold in my laughter. She fell backward on the stairs. She was blushing. I almost found it cute. I knew she had to be the daughter, my sister, Camila. Did I not mention, Daniel told me my father had an affair with my mother. Somehow they wanted to keep that from me but they couldn't. They knew the Hernandez's would tell me. Try to use that to make me feel sorry about what they did. Supposedly, they took care of me when I was young but then decided to give me up. They didn't want to rise a child from a w***e who almost broke up their marriage. They were going to leave me in an orphanage but my grandfather found me and took me with him. I didn't know how true any of that was but I knew they gave me up. I was abandoned. She grew up in a nice home with a loving family. I grew up in a war zone trying to fight my way out. She came downstairs and tried to greet Heitor, well, Luciano. He didn't respond. I did tell him to be mean but damn this was better than I imagined. I met Camila's cousins, Rosa and Adriana. We had an awkward dinner where I decided to torment Camila and stare at her the entire time. I think she might have a crush on me. How cute. We ended up alone in the living room while Heitor talked to my so-called parents. "So, tell me about yourself?" I asked Camila "She is such a good girl," Rosa answered. "She goes to college and works. Can you believe it, she works even though she is the daughter of a millionaire." "Shut up, Rosa," Camila said. "And?" I questioned. "She likes to draw in the garden and run around barefoot. She can't sing or dance. She is super clumsy and probably has never had a boyfriend before." Camila spit out the water she was drinking. "She has this annoying habit of singing when she cooks. And I already told you she can't sing. She has a blankie." "I DO NOT," Camila shouted. "Rosa, stop and go see if your father is home yet." "Why, so you can stay here with your new boyfriend," "ROSA!" "He wouldn't like you anyway," Rosa winked. "Come on Rosa," Adriana pulled her sister away. "So, tell me about Luciano?" Camila asked. "That's what you're going to say after all that," I said. "Well, I am curious about my brother," "He is not your brother," I said calmly. "Well, I mean," she stopped mid-sentence and ran away.
