Camila
We spent the next day in bed all morning. In the afternoon, Luciano made us lunch and we played chess on my bed. He said he let me win but I didn't believe him. In the evening, we had drinks by the piano while he played. We had an incredible dinner that a world-famous chef prepared for us. Then, at night we made love until 3 am. I was so surprised by all this. It was a perfect day but I then realized it was his way of having one more special moment with me. He said we would go back today to see my parents and tell them everything but he changed his mind. He said Heitor had told him that my parents went out for the day. They did that sometimes. To spend some alone time together. I finally knew what that feeling was. I finally understand how nice and important that was. I fell for a man who I couldn't have or shouldn't have. I fell for a man who was meant to be my brother. Someone to look after me, and tease me. He was supposed to annoy me and I would do the same to him. He would scold me as a second father would. We would make memories and be happy as a family and one day he would torture the man that would fall in love with me. He would say he wasn't good enough and if you hurt her, I'll hurt you. He was supposed to be,
"Hey, why are you crying?" Luciano asked.
"Sorry, I was thinking about something stupid," I told him.
"Don't be," he said. "We have to be heading out soon." I nodded and went to take a shower. When I got out, Luciano was waiting by the front door. I took a deep breath and took his hand. We walked to the car and drove in silence. I wanted to kiss him before we went inside but, but I didn't. I went inside and my mother came running.
"Camila, you are home, I missed you so much," she hugged me tightly. "Hello, Heitor." I was taken back by her greeting. I almost forgot Luciano used to go by Heitor. He was pretending to be his best friend and bodyguard. I had almost forgotten all of that.
"Mom, where is dad?" I asked.
"He's in his office," she said. She began to look worried. "Camila."
"I have to talk to him," I grabbed Luciano's hand and ran to his office. I heard my mother call my name again but I ignored her. "Father."
"Camila, you are home?" he said.
"Yes, I need to tell you something," she said. I didn't notice I was still holding Luciano's hand.
"What's he doing here?" he said roughly. He looked down at our joined hands. "Were you with him?"
"Dad, yes but let me explain,"
"I told you to stay away from her," my dad said harshly. "HAVE YOU BEEN f*****g MY DAUGHTER!"
"DAD!"
"SIR," Luciano tried to speak but my father didn't let him.
"You have been f*****g my daughter. Did you even try to be safe?" my father was not holding back. I didn't have time to be embarrassed I was too angry and scared.
"Father please calm down," I said softly. I wanted him to hear me and understand the situation but he was too angry. He slammed his fist on his desk,
"Camila, how could you be so stupid?" he said. "Did you not for a moment think that he only wants you pregnant and vulnerable."
"Father, it is not like this,"
"It isn't. He is using you,"
"That's not true, Luciano," I paused. Damn, I said it. I looked into my father's eyes and he looked at Luciano.
"You got to be f*****g kidding me," my father hissed. "Wow, you asshole. You played me as a fool."
"Father, stop and just listen,"
"GET OUT! Luciano or Heitor or whoever the f**k you are, GET OUT!" my father shouted.
"If he leaves, then I am-,"
"The hell you are" my father ordered. He called his men and they grabbed Luciano by the arms. They began to escort him out.
"Luciano," I called. One of my father's men stopped me. "Let me go."
"Take Camila to her room and make sure she stays there," my father ordered.
"No! Please, Luciano,"
"Don't worry, Camila," Luciano said before he was pushed out of the front door. I sat on my bed trying to figure out my next move. I couldn't stay here. I had to go after him. I waited until I knew everyone was asleep. My father didn't come to check on me but my mother did twice. I pretended I was okay and just hurt about being used. I went to the kitchen and looked around the backyard. There were guards walking back and forth. I waited for them to reach the corner and I snuck out. I ran to the bushes and climbed the fence. I looked around again and ran two blocks away before I called a car service to come to pick me up. I headed to Luciano's home and when I was arriving I pulled out my phone to dial him. It was raining so I ran from the car to the front door. Before I could knock or ring the doorbell. I was grabbed by the wrist by someone.
"Hello dear," he said. I turned my head and saw the same man who came to visit my father and who I saw again at the ball.
"Dario,"
"Yes, you remember me, how sweet," he said. "I was coming to meet your brother but I guess I found something much better instead."
"Wait, let me go," I struggled to break free from his grasp. He pulled me closer to him and inhaled deeply.
"You smell so sweet," I was afraid but ready to fight. I made a fist and began to hit him all over. He didn't flinch or move at all. He smacked me with the back of his hand. I could almost feel my face go red. "Bitch." He pulled me towards his car. I dropped my phone and began to shout. It was no use. No one came out.
