Camila
I woke up alone in my bed. I shouldn't have been surprised. We both knew what would happen if we were caught by anyone. Especially, if that anyone was my father. I went to take a shower and then got dressed for school. Being in college was hard and having a job was harder but I wanted that hard work. I didn't want it to be easy. Everything in my life came easy. I could have anything I wanted but it didn't mean much to me. I didn't need any more clothes or shoes. My mother said she wasn't born to money like my father. She went through really tough times. I wanted to respect her achievement and her own hard work by not being a spoiled brat.
I decided to sit at a coffee shop and get some assignments done. Lincoln had been calling me all morning. I wasn't ignoring his call I was just busy. That is what I told myself.
"He there,"
"Lincoln," I said as I almost spilled my coffee. "Hey."
"Are you ignoring me?" he asked.
"No," I said sheepishly.
"Good," Lincoln sat down in front of me. I continued working on my laptop and ignoring Lincoln. "We should go out tonight?"
"I-," I tried to come up with a good excuse."
"Come on," he pouted. "We can go to Lunar."
"I don't-," Lincoln closed my laptop.
"Please, for me," I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Okay," I said. I finished my work and then headed to the diner. I only worked a half shift and went home to shower. I hadn't seen Heitor all day. Luciano was in the office with my father when I got home.
A few hours later, I got dressed and got ready to go out to club Lunar. I decided to wear leather pants and a long sleeve crop top. It was very exposing but it was right for the occasion. I headed downstairs trying to make sure no one heard me and better yet make sure my dad didn't see me.
"Going somewhere?" Luciano asked. I stumbled on my heel on the last step. He helped me gain my balance back.
"I am going out for a bit," I said nervously. I never had to sneak away from anyone else but my father. This was strange but nice. Luciano looked me up and down. His eyes not giving me anything.
"Don't do anything stupid," he said. I nodded and headed towards the front door.
Thirty minutes later, I arrived at club Lunar and looked around for Lincoln. He was talking to some girl on the dance floor. I headed to the bar.
"What can I get you?" the bartender asked.
"Are you even old enough to drink?" his voice sent shock waves throughout my entire body.
"Obviously," I rolled my eyes. "Heitor what are you doing here?"
"I am here with your brother, he is on a date," I almost choked on my drink. I looked back to see Luciano with a woman. "Are you okay?"
"Um, I don't know. It's strange. Does he even know her?" I asked.
"I believe that what a date is for, to get to know one another," Heitor answered.
"So, does he, um date a lot," Heitor smirked.
"Does it matter?"
"He is my brother,"
"He is not your,"
"Oh for f**k's sake," I downed my drink and headed to the dance floor.
"Camila," Lincoln said surprised. "You are here."
"Yep, have been for a while," I replied.
"Do you want to,"
"No she doesn't," Heitor answered Lincoln. Heitor took my hand and pulled me towards him.
"Your father isn't going to like you being with," Heitor turned and walked up to Lincoln.
"You would do best to stay out of my way, boy," the way Heitor said it had us both in chills. I looked at Lincoln, I was getting ready to apologize but Heitor grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the private rooms.
"You really have an act for getting into trouble," Heitor said.
"I just wanted to dance," I told him.
"So go on then, dance, he said as he sat down on the couch.
"Yeah, no, I am good," I said. "I could use another drink though." Heitor pushed a button on the wall and a waitress suddenly came in.
"Pick your poison," Heitor said. I ordered and she came back three minutes later with our drinks. I sat next to him and relaxed.
"Why did you come here tonight?" Heitor asked.
"I don't know," I said. "I thought Lincoln was."
"The one," I laughed loudly at his words.
"No, definitely not but he was nice," I said.
"Is that it, you just want a nice guy," Heitor said. "There's not that many out there. If any at all." I swallowed hard. He rubbed his fingers along my arm. I continued drinking trying to escape this moment that was drowning me.
"Are you playing with me?" I asked out of nowhere.
"No," he said softly. I almost didn't hear him. I suddenly felt hot and I don't know what came over me but I turned and straddled him. I looked him deep in the eyes.
"When this month is over, your going to leave and forget about me," I said.
"I hope so," he whispered. He suddenly gripped my hair and pulled me into a deep kiss. He pulled away, I licked my lips so I could continue to taste him.
"OH s**t!" I scrambled off of his lap and ran out the door.
"Camila," I heard Lincoln shout. I turned and felt him try to grab my arm.
"CAMILA," I looked in front of me and saw Luciano. "We are leaving."
I sat in my car, waiting, I thought Luciano would drive me home but nope. Heitor soon stepped into my car and drove us away from the club. I noticed we weren't heading towards my house though.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Somewhere we can be alone," Heitor answered.
