I straightened out the ruffles on my dress as much as possible, trying to dry the sweat which had broken out on my hands. I'd left Flitter back in my room, wanting to keep him out of harm's way. I hoped that didn't turn out to be a mistake. Despite that, butterflies were my constant companions, fluttering around my stomach and threatening to make me throw up.
I shouldn't feel this way about something as simple as meeting someone for the first time, but Nib seemed to have put a lot on this meeting. Though I had no idea why she was so invested. Was Mr Muldvarp a friend of hers? Or was it something more than that?.
All I could do was hope this didn't turn out as badly as the other situations I'd found myself in. Things had settled down since Nib's appearance in my life.
